This shows the dark reality of our society. People live in virtual worlds and they have everything in their lives but at the end of the day, they don't have a single person with whom they could share their heart out and someone who would listen to their daily talks, what they are feeling and how they really are. I think the more we are getting connecting, the more isolated we are getting in today's world. Such an amazing concept, kudos to the writer.

Wow... Great work guys...At 5:30 when the cutlery fell the listener didn't realise that at all...it was only after the girl looked in that direction that the listener noticed it and followed her look...that was an important clue
A very good choice of cast, i'hv been reading self-help and philosophy books since 7 or 8 years, and almost in every book I read little bit about listening, even somewhere I read that, listening someone is one of the hardest thing a human being can do, most of the time people listen so that they can reply just after the person who is telling him/er something, you really made a very good content. loved it. Everyone need a listeners in their life, that is why girls appreciate those who Listen them.

Hi KUnal...on the contrary, what the story is trying to tell is that in reality, no one listens to you !! "because every listener is thinking of something else". So might as well just be your own listener is what I feel :)

he can not hear properly, uses hearing devices, but has chosen the pofession where he is the listener. Today, people do not find a true listener to share their stuffs with, the short film points out the practical situation where one has to order for a listener..people r so lonely these days.. its even hard to find people who r at least "pretending" to be a listener..

He is a listener because he can't hear, i suppose....it would be safe for us to share our secrets with a deaf..confidentiality factor, you know...everyone has skeletons in their closets....
I suppose the eligibility criteria to be listener would be deafness...then people would feel safe to talk to the deaf one!!!

Nice story. Watched this after watching "Call him Eddie" in which Sanjay Suri is a professional "cuddler". We live in such a busy world that we are moving towards a reality where we will be actually paying for things/emotions that used to come naturally to us or find naturally in our family & friends.
I have literally only one word word for this.. BEAUTIFUL...the best part of it was that scene where you show his perspective about how he hears things. I got to know so much about it in just few seconds. AMAZING it was guys. Please continue your work. You are great 💗💗💗....THANKS

Pratham Kumar yeah that was really good. It supported that he actually does not listen. And plus the customers pay Rs 1495 for him to listen but they don't need to ask him if he listened as he is tagged as a listener and not a responder. It was amazing...

It does exist...though not as it is showed in the film but professional counselors are good listeners too. Listening is a great quality not all can have.

It's a great job to LISTEN to someone who is in pain. Mishri could not hear without hearing aid... But... At least he helped a lot of people without even letting them know that he knew not what they were saying. It's an awesome film!
Millions of likes to this amazingly wonderful movie. .. 99.9 % person in this world wants a listener with whom they can say the nastiest of their life.
Loved the scene in when he is listening to the first old man and the camera pans back towards his ear and the audio shuts down. It was a clue from the director bit didn't strike at that time.
Banged on there head later that that's how best hearing the conversation.

Wow! In love with this film. The silence towards the end of the first scene is very intense and beautiful. Probably I listened to that melodious silence and that set the tone for the whole film. Superb performances! Esp. Kumud Mishra and Shashank Arora. Also that Bandra girl(apparently moved from Delhi) was excellent with her dialogues. Great casting. Great and inspiring concept & work

One of the best video. This concept hatke type and feel so connected. Now a day people are as much busy in social life, dreams, earning money and so on that they just forget about spending time with family and friends. They only spent time not live with it.. I just love this concept and the msg with it and if this massage reached to people's heart thn may be change has to come..

Really a very good and true concept . people are very lonely now a days. Because of increasing of nuclear families otherwise we never felt earlier when we lived in joint family .
The film represents modern life with an ironical way. Today's life is full of "sound and fury" but hollow inside. We are so lonely inside. No one has time to listen to other's stories and simultaneously no one has someone to listen to their own.
The character of the listener here is ironical in itself . He seemed to listen to everyone and feel their joy and sorrows by heart; though devoid of expression in his face. But the irony is revealed at the very end when he uses the hearing aid to listen to the sound he really wants to- the phone.
This is probably to say that we are turned into hollow commercial products today- basically self-centered and unsympathetic to others . This is the sarcasm of modern life.
