I so relate to this story. My mother was diagnosed with this disease in 2011, and in 2015 she passed away. I have had four years of caregiving duties alone, for her. My dad too couldnt manage that much, my bro abandoned us, my other cousins and family would hardly call or ask about mum or if we are managing okay or not, not unless they wanted something. My so called friends walked away, my lover too walked away, everyone just leaves when they know u can give them nothing but only talks about how your mom is suffering. SOMETIMES we caregivers only need a hug, a tight hug each day telling us and assuring us that everything will be alright. Just that would do, and nothing more is what we seek. I wish we all find a lover or a companion so understanding as this man in the short film. Seema Biswas's expressions were spot on, and she reminded me exactly how mummy would look and stare at us all and ask us the same questions over and over again. If you have someone with a neurological disease such as dementia, alzheimers etc, please do not abandon them; they are still the same, but from within and they know nothing of what is happening in the outside world. Please be with them forever

It is as if the illness consciously forgets its purpose for a moment, allowing the motherly love to take over.

every time I watch this film tears rolling from my eyes uncontrollably ... In my family my 3 grandfathers suffered Alzheimers disease .. my father parkinsons patient and after treatment he is absolutely fine now..thanks to the doctor..and there is nothing to hide people now a days are educated enough and understand this type of illnesses . Amazing movie superb acting...

What a masterpiece! Regional cinema is full of hidden gems. Simplicity in storytelling is so rare these days. Art thrives where commerce doesn't drive.
You don't have to know the language or even read the subtitles to absorb it's brilliance. I became an instant Jahnu Barua fan.. :)

Speechless. Short films rarely tear you up :) have been watching the last scene on loop. Have motivated me to find and watch all previous works of Jahnu Barua.

Loved it. The boy was sensible and good hearted. Hard to find such people who cares, who accepts with all our faults, the way we are and understands more than us. In short loves us more than we do.
I was born in Guwahati and and since 1978 was my last visit to that place but whenever i see Assamese program or movies its make feel Im missing something its really heart touching story its make me too emotions

My god ! What a movie.Every thing superb.I fell for that father and his acting.His just expression speaks volumes..I wonder how I missed such assamese movies even when I stayed around North Lakhimpur few years back..
This is just an excellent work. It made me crying for whole 2nd half of the story. My father got a paralysis attack 5 years before, he is quite well now but still not able to walk. At the time of attack he lost his partial memory sometimes unable to recognize where he is, sometimes even not able to recognize people around him and it was tough as well scary time for whole family.

I got emotional when Pranab starts speaking to Juree's mother by accepting her condition.
Most of the time a guy doesn't want his spouse to take responsibility of an ailing relative after marriage. It even forces some girls and even boys to remain single throughout their lives.
Me too , I am so related to the story. My mom is an Alzheimer's patient and she worked as professor. Mom used to do the same tries to remove the door lock saying she has to go to college.
Now mom lost speech , and languages skills. Its a painful disease to see parents not recgonizing and trying to run away.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in the creation of this wonderful movie.
I like to think I am a guy like this :D I too would have handled the situation in same manner but its easier said than done.. Beautiful depiction of the intense love that lady's husband n daughter and the little unsaid unspoken tension that is bound to happen in the long run in such cases.. beautiful direction n great acting by everyone
