Good review - short, insightful, concise. I'm a proud owner of a 6-speed manual 2010 VW GTI, and I can honestly say I'm strongly considering this 2015 Corolla S as my next daily driver! Sleek styling for the first time, better mpg (and on regular vs. my car's req'd premium), and most importantly, legendary reliability and resale value ya' just can't beat! By chance I ended up renting a base 2015 Corolla twice, and it's driving dynamics could've put me to sleep, but I'm thinking (and hoping) the S variant is tuned a bit sharper in steering feel and handling for the enthusiast at heart. I need to schedule a test drive!

My 1990 Corolla was my first car, and for its time it was a decent enough car. Hardly any bells and whistles aside from air conditioning, which eventually broke. Actually with the Corolla I had to get a new alternator, twice. I had that car for 15 years then I got a Chevy Aveo which I had for 9 years. The Aveo was a slight step up from the old Corolla, and also had nothing bells and whistles wise besides air conditioning and more cargo. I'll definitely say the 2015 Corolla is miles better than my old Corolla, but when the Aveo died out on me, and I drove the current Corolla, I'll admit it wasn't a bad car, and it looked fairly sleek, but yet there was still that "plain vanilla" factor, I just wasn't "wowed" by it. So I went to Honda and test drove their Civic, and I was far more impressed with the Civic. It had more "oomph" and the dashboard, I thought, had a unique look. However, when I also test drove the Honda Fit, I liked the idea of still owning a hatchback, and the Fit has as much "oomph" as the Civic, despite having 10 less HP. The Fit was cheaper to lease, however, so it was a no brainer.

My sister just bought the1.8 litre model. I like Toyota products and I wish my sister and other car owners safe driving. She likes Toyota, she gave away her 2005 Toyota corolla to another sister because of this 2015 model.

My 2014 Corolla S Plus only gives me an average of 26.2 MPG, but I'm mostly driving in a city and I love driving on that manual mode too much.

I can't wait for December to buy this and go from a 9 - 10 MPG 1989 Lincoln Mark VII to 30~ MPG give or take. The money on gas I spend alone would probably make a nice dent in the car payment. Not sure if I should wait to see what the 2016 offers though.

I just turned in my 2014 Corolla and got the 2016 Corolla yesterday..I have to admit, I do NOT like the 2018 Corolla's look. It's awful and hope for the 2020 they get rid of that horrid front bumper - but LOVE my 2016 - when I look for a car, I look for reliability and Corolla has that

It is just me or is that orange Corolla rare? I work at Toyota Dealership as Lot Tech and we don't have Corolla come in orange. Only red, black, sliver, grey, slate, white, and green.

TranceEternality it's actually red. it's just looks orange because of the video quality at night. Unless it was custom painted but I really doubt it

If only Toyota took the time to design a better looking rear-end. I feel like they focused on styling up till the rear passenger doors then rushed the rest of the design with bland tail lights.
And what is up with that jacked up 4x4 suspension? The rear wheels have so much gap between them and the fenders.
    Other than that, nice commuter.

Hi ALex Borunda , check out our 5 Reasons to Buy video for the 2015 Mazda 3. Hopefully comparing the two will help you make your decision, it's always a good idea to take a test drive in both as well! bit.ly/1FiGVva

    Reason for it
    1 Paddle Shifters
    2: Nice Stock Rims
    Reasons to not get it
    1 CVT
2: Not that great looking especially exterior wise.

+kookieless whats wrong with the CVT? thanks

    • @kookieless
      @kookieless 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The main problem with CVT is the dullness of the driving feel, and the bad performance (conpared to a manual or DCT. game hopper

+kookieless the CVT in the Corolla is one of the best on the market..it is very responsive. Either way, Toyota will sell you a manual tranny like the one she was driving.
