I brought my Model Y LR to Republic Speedshop as well. I told Ed what I wanted the car to look like and he took care of the rest! I did full PPF, tints, wheels, suspension, etc. A true one stop shop for any Tesla owner looking to make their cars unique from the rest!
Not happy with the Eibach drop. The front fender gap is larger than the rear. This is a show stopper for me. I will be getting the H&R springs for mine.
Interesting, I would’ve thought it’d be better to have it more lowered on the front then in the rear no? Like jaguar pose I think Tesla calls it? How does this effect warranty? Sorry, things I serious am curious on since 1 thing I don’t like in the Y is the height but I love the hatch practicality. Doing this can help me get it vs the 3 Thanks ^_^
Even thought it's AWD, most of the power comes from the back. Having a bit lower in the rear gives it a better launch they say. Warranty, i dont know....Suspension is considered wear and tear, so i dont think it would be covered. I hate the wheel gap and this helps solve the issue!
@@garrick_ish I live in Denmark. So to get those spring will cost a lot. But, I can probably get them here in Denmark. So, can you share more details about that Eibach set? And, The price, what is the price for them? Not included the work hours for installing them, just the Items. Thanks in advance. I really like the look. And have been looking at AirRide. But costly. Thanks Again. Thomas B.
Do not put Eibach Springs on your Tesla or you will have many suspension problems you’ll later regret. would highly recommend a Tein Coilover setup instead, having experience with both products.
If you want to have a bumpy and noisy suspension that will destroy your shocks and cause tire blowouts, tire bubbles, cracked rims, bent rims, damaged tire pressure sensors, and horrible alignment, go for it!

Great video..
Because of your channel, now I owned a Model Y and can't wait to do these mods
Wow! Thank you!!!
this looks awesome! thanks for the info.
Thanks! Glad I can help!
Wasn't clear what you're driving from start. I'm guessing you have a performance with 19" on? Or is that a LR with 19 or 20's"?

Why is the front higher than the back?
I believe the lower rear would be for the launch off the line as most of the power comes from the rear motor
Hi thanks for the video. Can you share the shop you took the car for the install? Thank you.

hi, love the look of the lowered MYLR! how much for the springs and install?
Thanks!!! Just wait for the next video with my new wheels! Looks even better!!
Springs are under $300 and install varies from location.

Replika R241 and I am using the 15mm front & 20mm rear spacers

Great review! Thank ytou
Do you need to do an alignment after changing to springs? Im interested doing this
Usually it’s recommended, I haven’t done it yet but so far no issues.
Thanks for quick reply!
lowering increases efficiency right?
theoretically yes. But to be honest, I dont look at efficiency, I don't want to get caught up with the numbers. I just want sit and drive
Has this affected range, if any?
Now you need spacers
where in NJ do you get your work done?
I got it done at Republic Speedshop in Harrison NJ. Ask for Ed and tell him you know me 👍
Which shop in NJ did the work?
Republic Speedshop

No camber. 15mm front & 20mm rear spacers

it was easier and cheaper to buy MYP :D
Yes on paper. But, Higher Insurance Premiums, Can't rotate tires which equates to high tire costs. Long term, this route is cheaper.
Don’t for get range,range,range

This is a great way to ruin your Tesla! The Tesla factory shocks aren’t designed to work with Eibach lowering springs. Go Tein Coilovers instead!!
Why?
I'd like to know too. So far I can't find any info on this unless you're just talking nonsense... post a link maybe?
