It appears that all of the stellar reviews that I've read about the A5s are true!!!!! Even with TH-cam's compression scheme, the full-range soundstage, depth, and clarity are amazing!!!

Thank you for another great recording. If the video didn't show the gears, I would have thought it's recording of a live perfromance.
No doubt it is a good system but what makes you think it might be live is just a bad acoustic in the room. You hear lots of room echoes. That is not in the original recording.

This sounded splendid!!! I've heard these and other Magico speakers on several occasions and they never failed to impress. However, I wouldn't trade my incredible Revel Salon 2 speakers Magico. Nonetheless, Magico makes a fine sounding speaker.

Not even warm sounding McIntosh gear is able to make these „magic“ speakers sound less dry than the desert 🐪 🌵 🦂
I find them bright and edgy, I hate the beryllium tweeter every speaker that I've listened to with the beryllium tweeter and it is bright and edgy I really like the sound of the monitor audio platinum very warm three-dimensional airy and spacious and natural sounding that MPD tweeter that they developed it's probably the best Tweeter on the market now.

@@mdjak3686 a Revel with get you the same type of sound for a lot less money.
@@JamesWilliams-gf8gm I have the Revel f208. Very good speaker. In fact, my wife worked for Harman in Stamford, Ct and I got them at employee pricing which was 50 percent off retail. I’m currently using them as rear surrounds in my smaller system with Definitive Technology towers with built in subs in front.

Excellent details, but I’m afraid I would have listening fatigue rather quickly. Has the high airiness similar to the early ESS speakers which I couldn’t listen to for more than an hour. I guess “hissy” would be a word I would associate with the highs.
You can't really get better eelctronics than McIntosh and D'Agostino

Only bad thing about those speakers is their weight. Almost 200lbs each, might as well be welded to the floor
Nothing bad about that. Being 20lbs is, not 200lbs.
I prefer the focal Scala Evo's over the magico.

I have listened a few times to the Magico A5 at my dealer. Must unfortunately say that it is one of the most boring speakers I have listened to but so expensive. The only thing that is good is Bass and that's where the story ends.
