  • Rishi Sunak’s government will unveil a major set of measures to bring down net migration to the UK after figures soared to a record high.
The Prime Minister is set to overhaul a series of visa rules to curb net migration after shock official figures showed net migration stood at 745,000 in 2022.
Home Secretary James Cleverly is also expected to tell the Commons that the minimum salary requirement for a skilled worker from overseas will be significantly hiked to around £38,000, a Whitehall official said.
Speaking to TalkTV's Peter Cardwell and Vanessa Feltz, immigration lawyer Harjap Singh Bhangal says: "The proof will be in the pudding. This is nothing new the Government are doing. In fact, a lot of the proposals mentioned are something that the government's already tried and failed in.”

Sunak is an embarrassment. He lacks what it takes and he needs to go!

Why don’t we just get people here who are out of work off the dole and into these jobs?

Braverman has rubbished Sunaks plan and all because she told him 6 times over the last year to action similar and go further. She’s right when she says the changes won’t take effect until 2025 as it’s left too late. The tories are goosed and Reform and SDP will see them obliterated.

It is painful, seeing how legal migration is being criminalized. Not everybody is the same, it feels as though there is a much bigger agenda at play here. 😢
