SoulPancake I'm glad kittens exist, I feel bad for some people, there are a lot of people who hate cats because they are allergic or have never owned a nice friendly cat before. I watched my kittens grow into cats it's sad because you will never get to see them as kittens again and when they get older they become more distant and less playful.
***** I completely agree with your first reply Magolor, that is an unfortunate loss for them - I am a dedicated cat fan for over 35 yrs and have had many playful adult cats. It really depends on the depth of the bond that you have with your kitty, and of course their own personality. If you play more frequently with them, I'm sure you'll find they'll seek that out in your relationship more often into their later years!
There is nothing quite like the warm thrumming purr of a kitten, and being captivated by their innocence and curiosity. It's been proven so many times that bonding with animals lowers blood pressure, offers unconditional love, helps the elderly and lonely feel needed, and can even help draw autistic and schizophrenic people out of their 'own' world for a while. I love this video of kittens providing a much-needed break from stress!
Mabel Koh its because of their baby teeth. They like chewing and biting on things like any other baby. If they choose your fingers as a favorite chew toy just teach them that if they chew too hard that toy goes away. And have a lot of other things for them to chew. Far more than chewing I found their very thin, therefore very sharp little claws to be a problem. But rough scratching posts and a good, careful, trim usually does the trick.

Jayjen35 it's hard to teach them go away because my kitten since young would climb on to me looking really cute and bite me. And I can't ask him to walk away. Now as he's growing older he bites harder and it's harder to teach.
OMGosh, you guys should totally bring back Kitten Therapy, the whole of the U.S. could totally benefit. We love it! When I can't sleep or I've just had a tough week I watch this again and it always makes me happy. I know other people feel the same way. Thanks for Kitten Therapy. Happiness is hard to find.

This is what I need when I'm stressed and angry. Luckily I have my lovely cat who is super friendly and likes being stroked and cuddled (she also a loud purr). Animals really do help me de-stress

This made me so happy. I am such a wonderfully blessed person to be able to work somewhere where I get to interact with animals (dogs) every day. There's something about a little fluffy kitten that is just irresistible, though!

Watching this gave me a physical sensation of joy! I have been in a nearly constant state of stress of late, outside of when I am snuggling my kitty and/or husband. I wish that more people could experience the joy of a tiny kitten in their daily lives to help them remember that there is always someone or something out there that will unconditionally love and appreciate the fact that they are there -- in that moment if nothing else.
I can't think of anything more relaxing than sitting center stage in the middle of a public area with a bunch of people staring at me play with kittens.
There should be resident cats and kittens in every high stress workplace. All first responders need cat therapy, and in cop shops so do the people being interviewed.
Now that was something special. Thank you so much for making this and sharing it. I have the most amazing 1 year old cat named "Evie". She is my best friend. I love her so much. I never thought I'd be a cat person, but now I can't imagine life without her. Thanks again.

being a first time cat owner, I can say that i am believer in the cat's stress reducing abilities. My little buddy out f nowhere will jump on my lap and purr and purr as he demands affection. It cheers me up on days where I had a crappy day at work or in general.
The sudden shift from purring and peaceful voice to energetic music was a strange transition, but I got over it as I watched the reactions. Good video.

After the first buzz of innocent happiness after initial viewings. I strongly feel that other cats should be part of the experiment. A video on black cats, cats with disabilities, & senior cats. Of course, the people friendly ones. If this video had been followed up with videos like that, it would have been great. It won't stop me from enjoying this one. But still, the more aware I become as a cat guardian. The more I would like to see real life representations that helps cats be understood. Like a short documentary on a feral or stray cat becoming a loved indoor cat. There is more to cats than cute kittens. And they all have, at all stages of life, and situations, the capability to help a human de-stress. Also, there are times that kittens can be a lot of work, too. And yes, there is the down side as well as the up side of everything. But cats are awesome. Not just for what they give us as pets. But what they teach us about been better human beings as opposed to animal neglecter or/and abuser.
My friend in university told me they had a room installed in their building just for something like this. Students and teachers could go and hang out in the kitten room and students apparently were able to adopt the kittens at the end of each school semester which they would restock with newly-bought kittens. Nothing beats stress like spending time with animals, especially in dorms where you're not allowed any pets.

Thankfully that is not true for all cats. My cat is three years old and she gets more playful and cuddly every day.
