South Park is a relatively new trail system in The Lost Sierra with a ton of great views and a remote backcountry feel. Add another ride to the list that's within a 30 minute drive of Everstoke!

The Sierra Butte Trail Stewardship is doing AMAZING work for us mountain bikers!
6/16/23 Rode Mt Hough trail. No snow. Hero dirt!
hey Brian ... im watching from UK and i love all the more hardcore riding you so often showcase but i wanted to say how much i also like the footage like this where you are riding easier stuff but showing the location ... so often i watch these for a bit of ecapism and you showcasing the trails, scenery etc is so enjoyable ... keep on keeping on...
Greg
BKXC never stops to amaze us with his sick trails. loved it 👍
That’s awesome I live in Westwood right next to Greenville in nor cal 😮 I’ve been mountain biking here for years
Just amazing
Lost Sierra never fails to deliver the goods!
Those views are epic!
Thanks, I don't know what to say. The trail is amazing! Sometimes it even feels bad to watch these videos, when you see that there are so many more wonderful places to ride than in your own local routes. I would be happy if I could ride a route like that once in my life. One wish would be to ride a mountain bike in some redwood trail in America.
I hope you make it happen some day!
I always love your videos, please keep showing us more wonderful places
Absolutely beautiful!!
Outstanding video!
Building trails changes the world! Working on it!
Most definitely!
It's great to see trails in the Everstoke vicinity!
Most definitely! I hope you make it up to visit some day!
real amazing experience!
Beautiful place!!
Wow. Ripping from that snow melt.
Yes, correct, that is Spanish Creek (Tributary of the North Fork Of the Feather River) and is a Class IV/V, V+ river (on the whitewater difficulty scale) a very difficult level at high flow conditions. If ya have the skills, it's a really exciting run in a kayak, as in whitewater kayak, not a flat-water lake kayak. :)-
Oh wow, looks like it would be pretty exciting at these water levels!
Thought I recognized those falls. Back many many years ago. Oakland Camp to Keddie on “Inner Tubes.” Had to walk around those falls. Glad to see “Green Sticker” help pay for the trail work. Glad to see new “Multi Use” opened.
Great video! I wish I had access to such cool trails lol
That's a cool trail.
Wow nice country / smooth trails that are remote only can dream about that.
I’d be game for that green 🟢 trail 😂 looks fun! 🚵
10:37 I love this trek! I want to go there! 🤗
Waoww 🤩😍 what a beautiful nature
I love your videos good job 😃
Awesome video and nice trail
Great video. Good stuff
i'm glad you said it early on... I may not have the best skills but that looked 'blue' to me. On a green trail if you go off-line, no worries. Totally freaking awesome by the way. I spend as much time in the Sierra Foothills as I can, but Oakhurst to Auburn. The farther north you go the more local folks "get it" - encouraging trails. Obviously I need to edge a bit farther north to this Quincy area.
Yeah, whoever decided that was a green trail was out of their mind. That's a blue trail at least. Here, it might even be considered black!
Brian, would love if you made a video on the briones pilot project. Would be great to add to advocacy for the Bay Area Mtb scene especially, and also would just be cool to see what it’s actually like
Already up on Patreon!
Beautiful scenery. Pacific NWesterners are a lucky bunch.
Not quite PNW, gotta go a bit further north! But it's still beautiful!
I’d be worried about a bear popping out. Really nice ride!
Looks really cool, might ride it in 4 weeks as I then will be in the area for vacation :-) Looking forwward to...thanks for showing @BKXC
It's a nice little spot!
I like that you leave some of the clime in the vid.
Seems like a good trail to just get out and enjoy nature
Big time!
I grew up in the town of sierra city. Best childhood ever. Mountains were my backyard.
That's awesome!
Thanks for posting & sharing these amazing videos...would these trails be ok to ride in January?
Love your videos bro ! Remember when I told you a while back that I had got a giant iguana? Been putting it to use. Did my first 15 miler last weekend!
Toughest green trail I have ever seen in my life. Good vid.
Haha, yep!
Great video and beautiful landscapes. Love your videos for many years. Your new rear hub is pretty noticeable. I would change it for a better video quality.
wow what a stunning place! Beutifull trail
I have to say, I like your nocal vids the most of all!
You'd be as good as dead if you fall into those rapids. Then again, this is what you do. Amazing trail nonetheless
Most definitely!
@@bkxc Could you recommend a safer mnt bike trail for newbies in northern california
I just started mt biking at 51yo and am riding greens while learn how to control bike and there is no way I’d ride that bit near start of video when nearby to river! In fact I get off and walk when there’s a steep cliff even without a raging river 😎
Big thing is your getting out and riding. Who cares if you need to walk it today because you can ride it tomorrow when your skills improve.
Just ordered some LMNT. Excited to give it a try. On another note, the film quality on your video is very good. Which GoPro are you using and do you use a specific lens with it? Trying to improve my recording on trails so would love any advice. Thanks, and hopefully someday I’ll see on the trails 😊
Very nice
Awesome video and narration Brian. Sweet trail. I look forward to riding there this summer.
Thanks Rod!
How much speed do you think you get on the downhill sections
"that combination of a hard turn with slippery gravel always gets me"... and not wearing knee or elbow pads!
Your bike is gorgeous, I can never tell if you're riding on 27.5"s or 29"s. Either way thank you for sharing your adventures, I've become quite the fan of your channel 😊
29"
@@scottpetersen7698 Scotty knows! 🤭 Thanks dude lol
What’s your cam setup? GoPro #? Chest mount gimble? Settings?
wow! I like your video
Good Ride! How do you like those new Button shifters? Bummer they are currently a rip off @ $150 My guess is you like them better than the original paddle set up
Hi Brian, greetings from New Zealand. After having just watched this video and before that Remy Metaliers Bentonville video I'm wondering if America has a National rule guide to trail ratings or does it vary from state to state? The double black trail he rode seemed like blue tech/single black at best and then most beginners would be out of their depth on this "green" trail skill and fitness wise?
It’s all different in every trail system!
LOVE YOUR VIDEO FROM INDIA 😁😁
Hey what’s up bro. What kinda set up do you have for your go pro. Videos look very smooth.
Link in the description
Woooooooof!!!!!!!!
Arround 1:15 is the best shot for wallpaper
my goodness bro....nice to see but so dangerous ...the ground collapses sometimes in CA. from flooding
Damn. Don’t let them kill Kenny.
Be careful leaving your thumbs on top of the bars, it always made me nervous watching people bench press like that. What a beautiful ride, it is so fun up there 4 hours from me.
Do you like your new bike better than last years ? Sure looks smooth.
So i want to ride out there but dont know where to dispurse camp. Let me stay at everstoke.
Any more Oso content? It’s been a while and curious buyers want to know what it’s like to live with!
Love what your doing promoting trails and hard work that goes into it. Have you read "That Wild Country" by Mark Kenyon? You need to read this book. All about Americas public lands and it all came to pass.
Oh wow, I have never heard of it before. Thanks for the recommendation!

:O What da Waterfall! Amazing! Look it that! So cool!
bro I'm sick and tired of the snow. I just want to ride Tahoe and theres barely anything! Downieville is snowed in up to 6k feet too so no shuttles runnin yet
Wow that is crazy.
Love the bike design th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube. All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.
When will the copper colored stem be available?
Keep an eye out on the site, we are doing a limited run!
Love those views and that can’t get Broken by riding the wrong direction. Great video as usual thanks
Did you get your SRAM Transmission working well?
It's going good now!
That bit at the end when you’re back home . You should do that with fake hands and have on them wrong sides ! Maybe one real one fake or add a third !
Great video anyway Brian
Hahaha, love it
You riding an E-bike ?
Could you share the exact location of the place, I am interested in visiting it mtb
Well?? Where's it???
Would love to live and mtb in Northern California but don't know if I can deal with all the state liberal stuff. Goes way far to much to the left for me.
Do you notice the sound of your heartbeat on the Gopro or have I always just imagined it? lol
I have actually been hearing it more often in the videos!
Have you found any wild animals? ; I like your videos, greeting from Argentina
I've seen a few, they always run off quick!
I have an amazing history teacher who is retiring this year. He is one of the most inspiring teachers that I've met and will hold a special place in my memory for the rest of my life. He enjoys mountain biking during the weekends and over breaks. I am trying to buy a small gift for his retirement and for how much he helped me. Could someone give me some ideas? Can be anything.
Oh man, that sounds like fun!
Sounds like you play or have played RuneScape with the lvl 122 sword comment.
Let’s be honest if you’re not bringing your own toilet paper with you to the trail head parking lot, then you’re not prepared for the day
Haha, I definitely am ready with it in the van, but I don't know how many regular folks carry!
Я хочу такжеееее 😭
All thanks to the team on my channel for helping me recovered back my missing bike few days ago there are the best????
Double Ass for life! 😂 You need to lean those things over some more in the corners and get the full experience!
no bears?
Still upset about the White Clouds Wilderness? Come back to Idaho let’s do the Little Casino to Big Casino loop.
Why no e bike ? Makes climbing much easier
Not allowed in this park
Saw a bear on this trail be careful when biking alone
What kind of hubs are you running? Sound really nice!
No worries about critters with that great sounding hub. Sounds like a rattlesnake on meth! Great trail going to have to make a trek to the Sierras.
Nope, not for me. I love trail riding, but I’m not the skydiving/bungee jumping type, and I would argue that this trail is more dangerous than both.
$60/month for hydration supplements? Too rich for my blood. ($1.00/packet x 2 packets per day x 30 days). Maybe I'll just add some salt to my tap water.
I only use it when I'm riding! If you're riding every day then you might need more than salt!
@@bkxc I would use gatorade. Has worked for many decades. You can even buy cheap packs to add into your water.
So many TH-camrs with no gloves, lately.... Is it a new fad?
Bears--wolfs--bobcats-----have gun on you..../good videos
Bees are out here killing people every day while bears get all the credit!
Carry a gun? Puh-lease. This is the type of thing that just leads to forest shootings of humans by other humans. CA Black Bear not an issue. Wolves? Not really. And Bobcats? Are you kidding?
The biggest threat to mountain bikers in the CA mountains are themselves. Then other humans. Then any manner of small animals and THEN maybe mountain lion.
If you carry a gun mountain biking in California, then you're just looking for a reason for trouble. Which means you ARE the trouble. Let's ratchet up the paranoia so everyone's hair-trigger on the edge and just looking for reason to shoot someone.
Sad.
I'd say if you're this paranoid, then stay home in your reinforced concrete bunker, surrounded by your guns & ammo. You'll be MUCH SAFER there. Let the rest of us intent on ENJOYING the outdoors actually enjoy the outdoors.
@@bkxc all need recycling and keep harmony on planet humans dont have bigger value than other living organisms like bees or bears my friend!
@@dudeonbike800 dude you missed the point. Which was self-defense.
@@gundog7199 taking a gun mountain biking couldn't be missing the point any more than you are! This is a decision with deadly consequences. Bringing a gun means you have intent to use it. Having it on your person means you're primed and ready. You're also concerned about someone NOT getting ahold of the lethal force you brought along, so will be more likely to utilize the lethal force to keep it under your control.
Maybe you're new to the outdoors. Or hang out with others who are perpetually scared in the outdoors. But for those of us who've grown up feeling comfortable in the backwoods, there isn't a need for guns. Foresters, mountaineers, climbers, hikers, photographers all can venture out without this need to be armed to the teeth.
Sad that our world has come to this.
All thanks to the my team of experts team @Evdspytech for helping me recovered back my missing bike few days ago there are the best????

Every trail system decides their own difficulty, so there’s plenty of variation and dispute!
