- 15 years after the LEGO Star Wars MIDI-Scale Millennium Falcon, we have the 75375 Starship Collection Millennium Falcon. It’s $85 BUT has all-printed parts, a LEGO Star Wars 25th Anniversary Brick, and the Millennium Falcon is great!

Printing a piece you cover up entirely is kinda crazy but im here for it
Crazier given what they don’t do for the things you CAN see on other sets 😂
I mean I’m pretty sure it already came in the Technic Mars rover so it’s not a brand new piece at least.
They did that in the Speedchampions Ferrari (for convenience)
With stuff like that, it can give you the option to leaving it open, mod it for display open.
Like a cutaway. Some non Lego model builders do this and the gas and oil guys love those cutaway motors, etc. to see the inner workings.
which part? i think i missed it
They can print every part of a 85$ Falcon, but the 650$ UCS Venator gets stickers exclusively. "Only the best is good enough".
LEGO can print every part of an original trilogy set, but prequel/clone wars sets get stickers 🤔
@@DilbertChan"only the best is good enough"
"Only good enough is the best"
"Near enough is good enough"
"We tried is good enough"
Finally seeing them both side by side the new one looks so much better!
That "holochess" tile is a clever recycling of the AR tracking markers featured on the 42158 Mars Rover set. I love stuff like that.
Definitely my favourite midi/ star ship series set, absolutely beautiful
i’m a huge prequel fan but something about this set is so nice even if it is overpriced
Yeah
@@greyghost4471 me too bro
As someone who never had the room for the other millennium falcon sets, this is amazing! For sure one of my favourite sets in a while
This set is perfect for casual Star Wars fans that want a highly detailed model that is still able to sit nicely on a desk and doesn't scream "I'm a mega fan" like the UCS model lol
Ive been waiting for this review!! Im definitely getting it
Me too
This one is pretty solid, but 100% overpriced. Come on LEGO stop trying to do this to us
I mean all lego sets are pretty overpriced
Disney tax
I mean, if we consider the price per piece metric - it’s pretty good, it seems to me, isn’t it?
@sablepaul441 sure, by price per piece it's the best of the display sets, but 85 is a lot. The tantive is over priced too at 80. I think 50-60 is the best price point for the midi displays and helmet sets
@@sethhelman7796 with all the licensing and printed pieces though… idk, of course I’d love for it to be cheaper, I can’t even get the damn thing in my country at all, maybe only for 1.5-2x the price, so I’m not one to talk here, that’s for sure
I preordered this and other sets, and your review has me super excited to build and display next month.
For this set, the executor, and the invisible hand, I got many figures of Han Solo, Vader, and grievous. Going to display them on the stand opposite the 25th anniversary brick.
Great idea
Love hearing you get excited about all the small wins we get in a set like this
Prints for the Win!!! Also the tilt on the stand is beautiful!!!
This is the one I'm looking forward to. When I heard the leaks I thought it was going to be the Tantive IV, but as soon as I saw the builds I knew this was going to be awesome.
Great review for a great looking ship. The prints over the stickers is an absolute game changer and maybe the strongest draw for me to purchase this set
Looks quite a bit better than I anticipated. And it's honestly a perfect size for use as a shelf decoration
Hi mnr these videos have helped me through a rough time with my dads stage four colon cancer. Thank you. 🙏
Sorry about all that man! :(
@@MandRproductions it’s fine he got cured not that long ago and his re correction surgery is coming up
I hope you dad gets better
Praying for him. Take care of yourself!
@@Pleasedonthurtme79 thank you 🙏
Idk why Pixel-Dan isn’t hired to make LEGO Star Wars ships. He made an incredible MOC with no gaps, super durable, retractable landing gear, and a ramp.
For some reason, I thought you had already made a review on this, and I read the title thinking it was the dark side falcon set and my heart got crazy 😂. I really trolled myself with that one
Same
Love it and will look great on the side of the other midi scale Falcon! Thanks
Been looking forward to this one! Great vid! ❤
This is definitely the best out of all the midi-scale sets!!!!
I was on the fence about buying this set, but the fact that is all printed pieces put me over the edge. I’m absolutely going to get this set!
This is the one March set I pre ordered, and I'm even more glad I did now, this thing looks great 👌🙌
I just put one of these together, and having segmented bags really helps save a lot of searching for pieces. The build quality is pretty good, but like you say it's not rugged for "play" but more just for show. I found the sections which make the rounded parts of the ship to be rather flimsy and with noticeable gaps, but if you don't go looking for them it's ok. I also appreciated the angled stand as it gives the "I'm already flying" look to it. Not really a huge Lego afficionado, but I also couldn't afford the AU$2k for the larger sized model.
This was a very fun build. Quite a few interesting building techniques.
Will definitely be picking this up!
My only criticism is with how good the thrusters on the 2020 Falcon looked, which used trans blue tile pieces, this set going back to the tube piece is a bit disappointing. I wanna see if I can mod the set to have tile thrusters when it releases.
Oh wow, great build and awesome LEGO!
Absolutely LOVE that there's so many printed parts in this set and no stickers.
This is awesome that all the parts are printed - couldn’t they have done the same with the tantive and hand?
Ask Mandr: Whats the difference between UCS, Starship Collection and Master Builder thingy.
Everything. 😂
I- I- Ok I guess the best Lego Starwars ytuber is laughing at me.........
@@CommanderOfTDSUCS means Ultimate Collector's Series. These sets are massive and very expensive, made up of vehicles in extreme detail. They are meant for display, not play. Think of the new Venator Class Star Destroyer.
MBS stands for Master Builder's Series. These sets are huge play sets full of play functions and minifigures. Think of the Ewok Village and Cloud City.
The starship collection is a series of mini UCS style ships. They're meant to be more affordable and have smaller ships in great detail but small enough that you can display them more easily on a desk.
hah you forgot the mos eisley cantina for MBS
@@CommanderOfTDS I was just listing a couple of examples, not every single MBS set. But yes, the Mos Eisley Cantina is a MBS set.
Im glad i waited. I wanted to buy the $170 flacon but I wanted something smaller so I was waiting to see if they would make one of these again and they delivered. Cant wait to buy
I’ll probably wait for a sale. I do want it to make some more of my “Surprisingly Scale With Each Other “ shorts ‘cause I feel like it’d be a good one, just not at $85….
I remember building the '09 version when i was a kid. For some dumb reason I was building this in front of the front door and my mom came in with groceries and stepped on it destroying it by accident. I still have it but broken down. Im definitely getting this new one. And no I wont build it in front of the front door😅
Great story for a reminder of what being a kid is like! Did you buy this one yet?
@willscubingchannel3062 Yes I have bought it! Bought it during May 4th.
Haven't built it yet due to a lot of working!
@@christopherwilliams5808 i just got it two days ago, almost there! Fitting it around work is quite nice, you never want it to end right!?
Great Review. Bought mine Yesterday with 20% Discount. Can't wait to build.
In my opinion, this is a comparison of two sets with two different design criteria's. The 2024 falcon was designed for esthetics and display while the 2009 MIDI falcon was designed to play with and swoosh with the midi star destroyer; that's why the new falcon is more esthetically pleasing but less swooshable. I like how robust the 2009 midi scale sets are but I wish they had the esthetics of the 2024 midi sets.
i preordered this thinking it would be solid and swooshable like the 2009 version but now after mandrproductions pointing out its not the strongest while handling it is kind of a let down. Hopefully someone can make it more solid and post a how to video
The 2009 got a front boarding ramp - though i wish it was on the correct side, landing gears, bottom turret and pretty solid. Also i like the length of its mandibles compared to new one. Only downside imo are the stickers, though mine still hold up pretty well after all these years.
Seeing the set in person makes it look so much better than the early pictures did.
Been waiting for this one ☝🏼
I'm really liking the starship line. It was a really great next step after the helmets, which I also really enjoy. I just don't know what other helmets they could make at this point
This set looks amazing! I love it.
About time you made a review
This is definitely going to be the set I get for may the 4th promos.
I was thinking of getting the Executor, but I have mixed feelings about that, but decided to go with the Millennium Falcon. You cannot go wrong with that. Although it's a display piece, it is easily playable/swooshable with one hand.
Anybody else immediately notice that the gunner turret window print is actually the front of the cockpit?
This set looks amazing
No kidding
The model looks awesome, but I don't understand why the cockpit has a flat front. They should have used a "Plate, Round 2 x 2 with Rounded Bottom (Boat Stud)" (2654) which would have had the perfect curvature.
It's not like LEGO® can't put prints on this element. They've done it before multiple times (for example a space hatch pattern for the Saturn V or a hamburger bun pattern or multiple eye patterns).
Was hunting for the PlaySet x wing today a retailer had bean advertising it on line but as soon as you went into the store out of stock lol .so ended up in the lego store looking for it no joy but they had one space shuttle a set I was after for months. Got a cool free be lego space rocket thrown in because there website in Europe is shocking lol the guys in the shop were brilliant.
LEGO on their way to make the 103736th model of the Millennium Falcon in different scales
i was planning to get this eventually but not day one, this review miiiiiiiiiight have swayed me
I never had a Millennium Falcon set, might just get 1
Same, I think this might be my first if it goes on sale
having all pieces printed in sets significantly increases the likelihood of me purchasing them personally. When i was a young kid I refused to use stickers because it didn't feel authentic to lego to me. Really regret not putting the stickers on them now though especially my og hyperspace ring and separatist shuttle
How well does this size up with the current x-wing polybag?
For sure my fav of that of those mini scale
Yeah me too
@@cieloazul1205 yeah but the invisible hand is also really nice
A very good set but too expensive for me lol. Great review Ryan keep the posting up!
0:29 that absolutely killed me
So after reviewing the midi scale Falcon, is the Invisible Hand still your favorite?
Cool set
Looking forward to buying all of these new sets...Be nice for a jedi interceptor this scale..
Printed pieces should be a must already. No more stickers
Major upgrades
Gonna get this for my dad if I find it on sale🤞
Any idea when the UCS AT-AT is reitiring this year? I would like to wait to get it during the May 4th promo so i can also get the droid carrier but at the same time dont want to risk the AT AT being retired by then…
0 stickers on this but we got dozens of stickers on UCS sets 😔
Been waiting all day😂
such a cool set - getting it for my dads birthday :)
I would love the next step in the evolution of these miniscale sets would be removable panels to see the micro representations of the characters. LEGO: make it happen!
Can you imagine trying to square up the underhull modules with those angled studs tho
I picked up the boarding the Tantive IV set yesterday because I found it very early
I always wanted the mid scale Falcon from 2009. It’s a great to see a new one.
This is definitely a good, set I might get it. I just wish it came with some sort of 25th Anniversary Minifigure.
Wow another LEGO Millennium Falcon! So cool! :p
The front mandibles look off though, how it dips on the sides.
The old one has a more accurate/better front. Hopefully an easy mod.
This set is a pleasant surprise
Cool millennium falcon and i love that holochess peice , wished we'd got an actual holochess set
Ryan question, why did you display it for a second with the anniversary brick of return of the jedi?
Nailed the use of *Technic* for taillight
I can only find this set on target or Legos website are no other retailers going to sell it?
So many great prints here and at the same time stickers on two other ships. I just can't understand the logic behind it.
Between this and Lego 75257 Falcon, which is worth having in the collection? Or should i wait for Dark Falcon (Basically, i prefer the Original Trilogy Falcon every time but i can overlook that if the new ones are good)
Just building this set and with all my other starship collection sets I decided to add the main minifigures associated with the set to the base. In this case Han and Chewie will be added. For the Executor (not officially starship collection) I added Darth Vader. For the Tantive IV I added Captain Antillies and for the 77904 Nebulon-B Frigate I added General Dodonna because he commanded one in the Rebels series. Getting the Invisible Hand soon and General Grievous will be added to the stand. My opinion! LEGO should have done the same!!!! But hey! "Only the best is good enough", apparently!?
Printed! I can't hold. The force is with us, great sandwich build of YT1k3, perfect set!
How does it fair up to the deathtrap trench run? Is it in scale with it kind of?
Letteraly the exact same building techniques for this as in the ucs millennium falcon
thank you ryan, very cool!
LeBron James.
Im more and more excited for the maul s ship now, i think this could be easily top 3 set of this year
I can't wait, will look great next to my Tantive IV. But dude, prints on this and stickers on the Tantive IV. Unfair
Is this mini scale Falcon more in scale with the Mos Cantina set?
Ask mandr: what do you think the chances are of receiving a midi scale venator for the rots anniversary to go with the invisible hand And what other sets would you want to see?
I really like the starship collection sets. Just wish they included a minifig.
A think you should do a Shorts comparison between old and new
Getting this to go next to my ucs falcon, when I get around to building it that is…
I recently bought and built this falcon 10/10 would recommend
A BANGER, but they should of added a figure or the broken metal detail/easter egg
This is so accurate way better than the original version live your videos
I don't know why Lego can never figure out how to make a playscale Falcon or Mid Scale Falcon with no gaps. I did not appreciate all the time/money I had to spend to make my 7965 Falcon perfect.
Are there any 2 bags with the same number at all in this set, for example, 2 bag ones or anything like that because i got it for my birthday opened the box to see how many bags and i am second geussing myself on how many there actually were
Printed pieces are fantastic
Now we're talking LEGO. All printed. That's real nice.
Most positive MandR Star Wars review
I mean this is what you get when you don’t make terrible errors. 😂
2 videos in 1 day I must be dreaming
