I miss hanging with my dear pal ornette Coleman here in L.A 🌴 I used to help promote his shows in L.A at UCLA, his last show, I remember "FLEA" of red hot chilli peppers played Bass, Flea is a BIG fan of ornette, What a amazing show 🎉 RIP to my pal O.C 🎷 He is deeply missed....🕯 🎷
I wish I could watch at 5x speed all I need to see is 3 seconds of each cover, I can do without the chat. Mike needs to understand the records are the star of the show
Indeed. The stopping and talking has gotten worse and worse over the years. I keep yelling at him thru the screen, “we don’t care, move on to the next!” 😂
Gracie Abrams is actually the daughter of famous movie and tv director JJ Abrams. She’s also a very close friend of Taylor Swift which Taylor is featured on her album as well.
I'm a fan of those Japanese Sony reissues, they are well done. The only odd thing is they don't have the rights to the columbia name in Japan, so they don't have the branding on them, just that "eye' logo. Kind of Odd.
The pursuit of music is about the music only & then ( secondly)….! how it is played. This vital lesson is lost on sad Audiophiles. They have forgot the reason that brought them to this hobby
@@crazyprayingmantis5596 See FYI, I already sold all my physical media 10 years ago. So see my collection is all digital so you're pretty much preaching to the choir and nah not interested in Bluetooth.
@@mr.jazzfusionhiphop1298 If it's only about the music what's your issue with 128mb mp3 files playing through a $10 plastic portable Bluetooth speaker?
I'm just starting to get into jazz, and I dig that Sahib Shihab Danish Band record. I think I prefer my jazz to be from larger combos and arranged. I dont mind some jamming and improv, but I guess I like that to be riegned in. What artists/ records should I check out that are similar? Thanks
What frustrates me about some of these box sets Billy Joel for example is they release the box set an included an album that they say can only be obtained by buying the box set and then they start reissuing them as individual releases so it’s a little disingenuous on the part of the record companies
Question on pre-orders if it’s a numbered limited run from AP if we go through TIG you don’t get an assigned # copy ? You have to order directly from their site ? Seems like a pre-order is a pre-order maybe Mike can clear that up ? Thanks
Hello from France mister groove 😊. Very good japanese accent😂😂. Always a pleasure to watch your vidéos 😊. What means ogv? At your next vidéo mister groove 😊.
So glad to hear Fred (Sam Records) is in good health again. Super nice guy, he's produced so many great titles.
Agreed, I hope he's on the mend, he's done so much for the audiophile community, great guy!
Can you make the website so you can sort by: In stock, out of stock, and pre-order? Would be way easier to navigate!

Do you think Blue Note is just breaking up that Ornette Coleman box because it didn’t sell well?
Yes, 100%
Looking forward to some fun Elvis discussions with you and David, Mark…

Arte those Sade LPs the Abbey Road half-speed versions?
23:16 “OK Orchestra” sir
Mike… the DESATURATED SEVEN.
Desaturating can be devastating.
No Pablo’s? Seem very late.
Did AC/DC have a album called Jailbreak, thought it only Thin Lizzy
AC/DC's is called "'74 Jailbreak"
Even more modern crap sounding vinyl pressings. Do all these “modern” vinyl buyer just collect or also LISTEN to their vinyl on decent equipment?!?
I forgot the Sade reissues were coming. I'll need to grab a few.
Imagine how many more records would have been sold back in the day if sound quality and who mastered what were promoted like they are now?
The Little Feat is very good
I love actual stuff.
Crimson and Clover was Joan Jett
It was Tommy James and The Shondells First
I kinda want that album.
Yes, as a cover of the original version by Tommy James
@@thomaslytle5519 of course….he was talking about Tiffany doing a cover version…but it was JJ
Maybe a stupid question but is there a way to order with no stickers?
Price stickers*
Yeah, it sucks that he uses non-removable price stickers that are very difficult to peel without tearing the shrink.

OG is American slang for “original gangster” or “the first version”. An OG record means the original pressing from the cleanest original plates.

What’s the name of that Primus record? 14:28.
