It is a lot when you're beginner but I, as a fat guy, went from 15 km a day being tiring in spring of 2020 to doing 35 km in a day and still being fine to do the same next day in half a year of training. Our body is made for walking. It adapts fast to that. The rest is in your head.
I know there are insane people who trail-run long distances, but to the common man 40 km, with a lot of elevation, is a lot... especially when you do it for 5 days in a row. Cheers
Dear Kraig. You capture the essence of the mountains so trully like being there myself. Next summer we are off to Island and back to Courmayr to do the loop. Keep on this fabulous work. Frank

I love the constant theme of you pulling away with the drone across your videos! Does a really great job of framing not only the location but the magnificence of the places!
Hi Kraig! This is my favorite of all your vlogs ... to date!! Werner Herzog would have totally approved your cinematic filmmaker's journey! The soundtrack is so tailor-made to the film ... I absolutely love everything about this movie. Have you thought of submitting this to film festivals?
@@kraigadams - I just think there is a HUGE audience for this film at film festivals. Awards notwithstanding. :) (Btw, I have never suggested the film festival option to any vloggers ... ever. Not even the huge beloved vloggers we all know and love out there!!)
Fantastic! We, my wife and I, did the TMB last September with a small group. Really enjoyed but your video really showed the appeal of doing it solo. We arrived in similar fashion, taking train from Zurich to Geneva then again from Geneva to Martigny. We then took cog rail to Chamonix where we started. Thank you for sharing.
i cannot explain how much peace your videos give me. they are so peaceful. so satisfying. these videos have made me very happy when it’s really hard to be. thank you, thank you, thank you for your content.
the way you take shots of film with interactions, scenery, then your own commentary all put on top of the perfect music is fantastic. I wish i could live in Switzerland, your video gave me more view and perspective of its beauty and the other countries you were in. On a side note i dont understand the dislikes.
@@hejiranyc Expensive and bad food compared to where and what food? Unless you live there and have been all your life then your comment is in comparison based on where you live and or have been, so in comparison to where and what? If you have lived there all your life then its only expensive if you been somewhere where the same service, food, ect,. is less.
@@Gunter_Severloh I live in the U.S. in the most expensive city (NYC). And I can verify that Switzerland prices are much higher than NYC prices and although the food is fresh and of high quality, it is bland compared to France and Italy.
@@hejiranyc Thanks for the insight, good to know, im in Illinois, and aside traveling to other states a few times, and to Canada and back probably hundred times since i was 5, plus i was born there, only thing in comparison and probably not a good comparison but from my own at least is its a tiny bit more expensive then the USA but not by much, haven never been out of the USA. My Heritage is Dutch and German but most of my family aside my parents and my brother all live in Canada, my grandparents still alive :D in there and are in their 90s were born and lived in Holland during the occupation in WW2. My mother traveled to Switzerland from what she told me when she was young, so i could only assume that prices, ect,. then were different back in the 60's and 70's, but maybe still expensive then what it is today. Idk the European countries is old school lands, and when i see them it brings me back to my childhood of simpler times, maybe i could have a cabin there for a season but then not fully just live there, right now im somewhat rather stuck til i find a way to work for myself and get out of this slave race we all call a job, but in this video to me is a dream, even going back to Canada is but a dream right now, its been so long that i been there that the last time i was there was before passports were required, so ... over 10yrs idk i forget. When did you go to Switzerland btw?
@@Gunter_Severloh Uh, I just flew back from Geneva on Sunday. LOL I spent most of my time in the French and Italian Alps on this trip, so Geneva was the most convenient airport to depart from (direct flights to NYC). It's an okay city, but definitely not one of the great European cities. Set your sights higher... it's a big world out there.
I did the TMB this year in June (2020). It's hard to believe you managed the tour in 5 days. Congrats on that. I can only recommend the TMB to anybody who likes hiking in a fantastic scenery. As a matter of fact: This video was the inspiration for doing the trip. :-)
I was distracted from the gorgeous scenery by Kraig's footwear. Mountain trail in sneakers (they don't even seem to be trail runners)? That's dangerous (unless TMB is so easy you can do it in sneakers). I did parts of Via Alpina this summer in trail runners and regretted choosing them over boots more than once, especially in the rain and on descents.
Once again your videos delight the sense of wonder at the beauty which surrounds us. So often we cant do what you do, but it brings me great pleasure to join you in the hike in spirit and awe. Thank you Kraig.
I've been watching your videos for a few months now, and this is still hands down my favorite. The music in particular matches perfectly with the shots and ambient noise. It really captures the serenity and peace of hiking.

I grew up in Europe and spent a lot of time in the Alps, and have lately been thinking if I should move back for a while...this may have just decided it for me for next year! You captured the Alps perfectly, I got every emotion back from it. Thank you for creating something so beautiful.
I actually thoroughly enjoyed watching your video Kraig, it's so pleasant and relaxing! 😁🙌
Really makes one have a sense of one self and unstand how beautiful the surrounding environment is
It is like walking in paradise, I am speechless
Such a stunning and simple film, puts me right back there. Bravo.
youtube notif : Kraig Adams uploded a video

Yess! Amazing video as always Kraig. I'm a huge fan of yours and have been watching your videos for many months. I finally got motivated to make my own hiking video inspired by you. Would mean a lot if everyone could check it out and Subscribe to me small channel :) Thanks!

The BEST video I ever seen!! Thank u, Kraig!!
Hey Kraig!!! Your video made my week and weekend. The HONSTRANDIR was so damn awesome. Thanks dude!
Perfect! You are never alone with nature. She watches over you always
Thank you a lot! With your video i get an incredible relax. Really, thanks.
I've never been able to think of anything to add to my bucket list beyond the usual "hey, I want to go to these countries." And here we are, there's something on it now - I HAVE to do something like this. Thank you for this. Now I can't stop watching your other videos.
Wait ~200 km in 5 days, that means ~40 km a day?!!! That´s just more then aggressive, that´s insane!
Good work and great shots.
peace
Didn't roman legionairies march 100 kilometers a day or week
Yeah check out UTMB. I think they complete the loop in 21 hrs😅
Cheers
I love your videos they help with my anxiety. What a beautiful place! Maybe one day I can see it for myself :)
Dear Kraig. You capture the essence of the mountains so trully like being there myself. Next summer we are off to Island and back to Courmayr to do the loop. Keep on this fabulous work. Frank
11:27 the most relaxing sound ever. 😏
Seriously, never stop creating. These videos are exquisite! Watching your videos makes for an entirely visceral experience; it’s personal and beautiful.
This falls in the genre of hardcore nature porn.

I hate the word” porn.” Ok. Just so you know.
@Chris Pheros loVe Chris...it's a travel video. Heliosign tried to describe it as he/she saw it...why do you feel the need to analyse it....Let it go already. Jeez.....
@Chris Pheros loVe he meant the modern version which is esentually something you Jack off to the slang term nature porn is a word to describe beatiful enviroments which i hate
You really captured the beauty of the hike in a way I haven’t seen in most other videos. Really brought me back.
Amazing hiking, stunning scenery, beautifully edited video.
How could someone dislike this? Fabulous composition and incredibly beautiful terrain.
Excellent! And the unexpected Q&A at the end was awesome.
And is there anything better than an ice cold coke after a long run/hike??
Yes, an ice cold beer!
I dont normally drink cokes, but after a long day on the trail or a multiday backpacking, I crave one.
YO DUDE KEEP MAKING THESE VIDEOS, I WILL WATCH ALL YOUR VIDEOS DUDE
i cannot explain how much peace your videos give me. they are so peaceful. so satisfying. these videos have made me very happy when it’s really hard to be. thank you, thank you, thank you for your content.
Just in time for my solo hiking adventure in Switzerland 👏
The Life Created am considering TMB for solo hiking but could there be a safety issue there?
What a fantastic video...so well done on so many levels. thank you for sharing your tour. all the best KA.
I love how he pets animals along the way
the way you take shots of film with interactions, scenery, then your own commentary all put on top of the perfect music is fantastic. You for the first time made me think that traveling abroad is something I could do and this may be the inspiration for me to do it. Thank you Kraig! Keep up the great work
I wish i could live in Switzerland, your video gave me more view and perspective of its beauty and the other countries you were in.
On a side note i dont understand the dislikes.
Switzerland is way, way, way too expensive and the food is appallingly bad. It is beautiful though.

✔️ Burgers

🚫 A spare set of clothes on a 120 mile hike
POO
Because he was solo :)))
4:17 damn kraig those legs 🔥
I've been watching your videos for a few months now, and this is still hands down my favorite. The music in particular matches perfectly with the shots and ambient noise. It really captures the serenity and peace of hiking.
I would like to do this myself!!
