Pacific State (808 State Cover)

Recorded at home in London during lockdown 3! :(
All instruments played by me. Thought I'd bring stylophone, guitar and ukulele into the mix to give it a bit of a twist! Drums programmed using the 909 drum machine built into Ableton Live Lite.
Always loved this tune growing up. Love the use of a real sax and the slight dissonance caused by the major/minor scales. Makes it stand out from the crowd.

Oh, mate! As a very long time 808 State fan who's seen them play live from a distance of literally inches, that was absolutely brilliant. I've heard hundreds of versions and this one is mint. The lads would be proud of you.

After the first few weeks i had also started some video project last year. I taped my phone to a cutting board to shoot about 4000 frames for a stop motion music video. Couldn't use my phone the entire time, but nobody calls anyway, so that's fine. It ended up extremely exhausting, and i was glad it was over at some point. I had hoped i would not feel the need to aim for such drastic measures of spending spare time in isolation again... but this time i'll find an easier way... or at least one that does not occupy half of the table.
