Finally after crunching the numbers I finally found the Best Crit Driftsmelt Build in the game! This Build allows you to use it for anything Raw and Elemental! I even add the supporting data in my findings and compare how this build is undisputed as the best crit build versus all the other relevant build combinations!

Hey! My main weapon. ^^ nice to see it and you again.
Everything here is perfect, but the only thing I'd mention is that, due to ammo types damage being so crappy outside of the weak zones, weakness exploit can substitute for crit eye while you're getting to this point. The additional affinity after the first level is the same for both skills, and pale stones are more common than cyan, which you should be going for ice attack first.
Love your stuff! Looking forward to the dual blade one soon! My wife plays that and we were theory crafting the black Diablos blades are burst 5 (Rathian gloves and Zinogre boots (both burst smelted)), then as much weakness exploit and crit eye as possible (i think Wex 4 and crit eye 5 on Coral helm, odogaron chest, and pink Rathian waist. Needs 1 credit eye and 2 wex smelted).
Actually that’s not me. That’s the ACTUAL DATA SAYING THATS THE BEST COMBINATION. Most builds actually recommend having a consistent crit rather than just filling stuff with WEX because the reality is you have to factor in the margin of error that you won’t be hitting weakspots all the time so that’s why it make sense that more crit eye is better than all WEX.

I sadly didnt have the matts for the reg rathalos lbg, so started on the azure one as an alternative since i had a ton of matts for the event XD (already had my armor pieces...)
I had a full build the 2nd week of Driftsmelting but like you said I got really lucky. 🍀 Sending well wishes and luck to all my fellow hunter comrades

That’s a good question. I don’t think it will be that massive but we’ll see!
@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS I think the pairing will mostly be for RAW CB with Offensive Guard, Guard, Artillery and some Crit Eye
some corrections id make- its much better to put the thunder atk driftsmelt on the zino gloves and the crit eye on the lumu chest. same with barioth gloves- put ice atk on those, and crit eye is already on lumu chest. driftgems dont change with loadouts (yet) and having the element atk +1 on all the gloves which all have +2 helps with other weapon builds if you choose to later on. this makes it so only water needs a change, but with mizu coming, hopefully we get a water atk 2 helm and then were set for that too.
I agree, seems more efficient to put the element attack on the gloves and crit on the lumu chest
Just because they don’t change loadouts yet doesn’t mean it’s worth it to put it on something you won’t flex. Your suggestion is just someone who’s too lazy to switch 3 or less pieces of driftsmelts around lol.
Besides you’ll be using the lumu coil, CP coil, and AR greaves for EVERY LBG BUILD.
Also there might be a new skill in S2 that will make you want to flex those slots 👀
@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS they could save with loadouts eventually (should have at the start) but why go thru the time to manually change what you dont have to? instead of putting ice atk on lumu chest, and crit eye on barioth gloves, just put ice atk on barioth gloves and crit eye on lumu chest. it also could help out with other weapon builds. it just makes more sense. if a new skill comes in S2 that id use on every build id put it on one of the 3 pieces that dont change, one gem. instead of on gloves which change with every loadout, 5 gems.
Hey so maybe I misunderstood but I'm already working on building these. Am I not supposed to because I can't get grade 8 armor yet? I think my gameplay has improved already though.
Its really up to you. Driftsmelting is expensive in general so I would just get what you need to grade 8 and then figure out what you want to do.
@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS can you tell me if Dragon weapons are worth it? The game takes so many materials to make a useful weapon. Does dragon have any advantage over other elements?
Feels a bit meh to land on "endgame" sets for driftsmelting at the end of a season with new armor around the corner. Endgame will likely be shaken up with the new armor, weps, balance changes, etc.
Not really…from my knowledge it’s a few things but your sets WILL STILL BE SUPER RELEVANT!
Speaking with Niantics Coms Director they don’t want to make a set you just built useless. They are preparing you for a reason lol.
Can you ask them if they can add a damage counter after hunts so we can see how much damage we did and who did the most damage each hunt and huntathons and can this be implemented in regular hunts as well most games show you damage so I would like somthing like that if we can't have add-ons in game for somthing like that.
Honestly that’s a lot to ask for.
You would have to put a calculator for every person and every scenario is different.
I would say that’s something for later as there isn’t a lot of people calling for that feature.
@KINGOFCHARMANDERS maybe they could let people make add-ons for ingame damage tracking? If they dont want to implementat it into the game them selves end of the day all we can do is ask. I would definitely love to see an ingame damage counter
