I wouldn’t have thought of bic pens, so thank you for that! I like the autoshop paper towels they are soak up a lot and don’t melt with use. They also pack super small.

Hi, Luis (?) I have my small kit in a bumbag, with A6 sketchbook and home-made A6 watercolour block. If I want to take my bigger set, with full pans, it all goes in a backpack. I don't like water-brushes, so I use old 35mm film canisters (which have served me well for over 25 years!) and my favourite Rosemary and Co travel brushes in the bumbag set-up, and my ordinary brushes, in a Pro Arte brush wallet,.
My palette, like yours, both the half-pan and full pan set, has a mix of warm and cool reds, blues and yellows, plus some earth tones, but mine has only 13 colours - again, all that I have needed for as many years as the rest.
I can't choose a favourite piece of kit, because these two set-ups have gone with me to many countries across the world and given me great pleasure during those 25 years! 😊

Great video. Love the setup of your palette. Warm on one side and cool on the other.
My minimalistic sketching gear is very minimal. A pocket size watercolor palette made by Expeditionary Art. It is the size of a business card (2 x 3 1/2 inches). It can hold 14 colors. Two different size waterbrushes. A Posca white marker like yours. A TWSBI fountain pen. Bullclips and a little sprayer. And of course, a Moleskine pocketsize watercolor sketchbook plus blue shop towel.

Hi, why do you carry a Posca pen? What do you use it for?

I love the minimalism of your kit. And, although I like drawing with ballpoint pens, I never would have thought of using a black BIC pen, it makes so much sense. Thanks for this! 😊

Thank you, thank you. You helped me decide to go with the smaller (mini) Sendak artist roll. Cafes, from inside the car/the inside of the car, parks-just wherever & that’s the point of my kit. Otherwise I can take snaps/video with my phone and make out with all my art supplies when I get to “my studio”😋. So thanks for reminding me what I’m getting gear for.

Hi. I love your travel art supplies. To be honest I have never been an urbansketcher. I have to try. I just try to paint three years ago. But I love my passion, probably like you.

Very simple set up with a great palette set up. I'm amazed you don't know the names of the colours you use, but I guess that's not important while painting, as you can see the tones and hues you're mixing anyway.

If you click on his channel name, it will take you to his home page. Then go to the top and click "About". Scroll down to see where he is from. (I'm not telling you, so that next time you'd like to know, you can discover it for yourself, as every youtuber has to put a country for a location. No-one should put more for internet safety reasons). 😊
