I'm very impressed with this! I was considering something to take with me on a backpack trip and was a little discouraged after seeing some suggestions with good but very expensive, heavy material or, on the other hand, light but weak and fragile material. Your solution combines a compact and easy-to-carry set-up with assured paper quality. The magnets' solution is actually very clever. Thanks for sharing with so much detail!
I was trying so hard not to laugh at the incident with your dogs lololl so cute! I've been trying to optimize my on-the-go kit. Since covid, I've been spending much more time painting in the outdoors rather than in cafes, etc. You gave us some great tips and inspiration! :) I'm using the Pocket Palette which is basically a business card-sized palette so I can have my standard 12-color set.
Ooo I love the magnet idea! I don't know why I haven't thought about using magnets before, I just use hooks or sticky tape. This seems a lot more efficient. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this video. I’m so inspired that I have ordered all that I need to recreate your setup! Now I will have to practice practice practice!! You are amazing 😊
Great ideas, especially the magnets. I went to the amazon link but it didn’t link anything in your lists. Can you add the specific magnet listing if possible? Thanks!
Here's an updated listing: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XD2X45M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Sorry I didn't realize Amazon would have so many changes! Hope you get to see this, these magnets rock!
It is such a relaxing place to paint :) I love the ducks especially, and I also love when there are lots of people out fishing. It reminds me of simpler times :)
This was great! Thanks so much for reminding me that making art doesnt have to be grand and I think what you are explaining, is to have fun exploring creation!
I love Boston Terriers! Well done for trying to film and paint with dogs with you, I love that they dragged you off after another dog 😂 I have a MUCH bigger palette so mine isn’t as portable (the 14 half pan tin with thumb hook) as yours so I’m jealous of how portable your kit is
Awesome video. Super helpful. Love the dogs too. I've landed on the ground with my 2 dogs so I get it... Love that you posted this - I'm not the only one lol.
From Amazon. I will put the link below because these magnets are very strong :) www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XD2X45M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
I got them on Amazon. I'll put the link here because they are VERY strong. Standard magnets are not adequate. And these strong ones are only about $12 for a set :) Here's the link: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XD2X45M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
These colors are: Ultramarine blue, Perylene Red, and Hansa Yellow Medium. They are made by Daniel Smith and can be bought together as a set. Search for 'Daniel Smith Primary Set' wherever you purchase your art supplies (I usually find them on Jerry's Artarama)
OMG!!!I first opened this video a year ago, and since then I've been sketching outdoors every week. Then I suddenly remembered this video two months ago, but I couldn't find it. Today I accidentally found this video! I'm so happy! Thank you very much! This video has inspired me in a big way to get out of the house and sketch!❤❤❤
I do love travel palette set-ups (and of course, the doggos - Bostons are some of the best dogs ❤). Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful little palette! I will have to try this!
It's so fun! I have quite a few now (I really like Altoids, hahaha) and each has a different combination of colors in it. Love it!
Love how your filming equipment is so much bigger than your sketching equipment 😜👍
I know!!
good advice on picking what to paint..thanks.

Thank you. The magnet idea is genius. I wonder if the magnet would stick to the clip?
So cute and also practical. Using just primary colours helps too in rediscovering colour.
This is awesome...and you're hilarious!😂 Love your dogs

do you have the link to those half pans with magnets? amazon maybe?
Washi tape (for the border) would work on the size sketchbook you have.
What strength are those magnets and the size please?
I found some thank you, you liked in another video which helped me look :)
loved the vidio, can u tell me what colors you used in your little pallette?
Yes :) It is Ultramarine Blue, Naphthol Red, and Azo Yellow(x2)... they are all from M. Graham :)

I'm sorry but I have to leave right now. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas.
Thanks for watching Cristina!
I also have a dog. Don't worry
Mine are so crazy!!
I love the simplicity of this set-up. I think we try to overcomplicate things. Please do more of these videos.
I agree. My sketching is failing because I am focusing on detail
parece camarografa de huracanes jajjaja🤩
If you went with the bigger Altoids tin you could have a bigger palette (additional blue and other colors as well.

Yay!! That is awesome Teena!

Where did ou get your magnets? Is that a Pentel waterbrush?
Your park is really nice. Sketching to the sound of the water fountain ⛲️ 🦆

🤯 This is AMAZING! Best kit I've seen. Just made my own set 💖
Woo! I love hearing that!
Great video! Subscribed!
Great ideas… another TH-camr show how to fit 6 pots into the mini Altoids tin by turn one of them 45 degrees.
why do you use two magnets and not just one?
I love this setup! Thanks for posting. I found an old tiny altoids tin and am setting up my travel palette!
This was great! Thanks so much for reminding me that making art doesnt have to be grand and I think what you are explaining, is to have fun exploring creation!
I envy your neighborhood...looks beautiful!
With a little reshaping and creative placement you can get six half pans in the tiny tin. Thanks to Mind of Watercolor for that demo.

How long does it take the tube paint to dry in the pans so it doesn't run on the go?
Enjoyed this very much. How do you travel back home with a wet sketch on your bike? I am doing as much minimalist stuff as possible.
Fortunately watercolor pages dry pretty fast.. especially when you paint outside. And having a bit of sun and a good breeze also helps! :)
😄😄😄😄
😅
@@RMB.Atelier I didn't say why I was laughing. If I'm not wrong it was because of your dog. 😍
