- We were in the mood for some Hawaiian Ahi, so we went to Kauai Beer Company for some fish tacos, fish & chips, and beers! That's not too crazy, right?

We're able to sleep/rest on the flight, or sit back and watch a couple movies with snacks! It's all good. =)

Believe us, Joanne, if we could've stayed overnight and left today (7/2), we would have. Our saving Grace is that we'll know we'll be back. =)

Wow.. over 10 hrs round trip for some dinner! You guys are crazy good! Next time you get out to Kauai, you should have breakfast at the Tip Top Cafe! One of the best Ox Tail soup you can get! Aloha!

Wow jet setters, 3 hours on the ground in Kauai and back to LA! Those ahi tacos and “ono” fish and chips look worth the trip! I’m sure the beer hit the spot on a hot day of travel! Years ago we enjoyed Kintaro restaurant in Wailua east side of island just before Kapaa for fresh fish and great local appetizers. Glad you made the trip, everything looked ono!

Yes, we would've loved to spend the night and next day there, but Lisa had to work on Wed. It was a teaser trip for sure. lol But, we'll be back!

Wow that was a short trip! Question, how do your keep yourselves occupied when flying?
Catch up on new movies, Lisa plays games on her phone, listen to music loaded on our phones/iPod, edit the vlog on the return trip, and of course, sleep. lol We both recommend the Bose QC noise cancelling headphones, makes such a difference on any flight.

Boy I needed this, the Pacific Northwest cool air and rain has spiked my fibromyalgia and wish I was with my family on Maui. Don’t tell them, Kauai is my favorite island. I love you guys and my pain appreciates this distraction 🦋💜What happened? I didn’t see one chicken at the airport lol

I really do love your vlogs, it’s a way for me to get out and about and enjoy travel because my body doesn’t cooperate lol. You do what I wish I could. Visit New Zealand in our wintertime, that’s summertime there. Oh please go for me. If I could afford to meet you there I would. We traveled as a wonderful bonus from my husbands company Kubota tractors. He was the top seller and earned the trip. Thank you friends 🦋💜
that's a short layover, what happens if the flight is delayed or canceled? do you just call in sick to work?
Wherever we go, we have back up plans in place. In that scenario, we would've seen if we could get on with Hawaiian Airlines (at a reduced cost). Back up to that would be to route via HNL to try to get back to LAX.. Worst case, buy a confirmed seat. Calling out isn't an option. lol
Bill, I know you work for the airlines so a peek is flying. Can anyone be a filler? Do you fly for free or is there a discount? It seems so exciting to hop on a plane for overnight. Sharon from Orange county ca
Hi Sharon! For Delta, all domestic flights are no charge for the employee, spouse/domestic partner and dependent children. International flights incur an airport exit tax when leaving that country which can vary anywhere between $20 to $160 per person (just estimates, but you get the idea).
Each airline has their own non-revenue benefit plans, so I can't speak for other airlines and their policies. That said, working for Delta is pretty cool. =)

French fries are over cooked Well, I supposed they browned the potato fries in Hawaii too. Potatoes are important source of nutrient for the American diet.
First off love the vlogs but I wish you would also workout after you eat at these places. , go to the gym or walk or anything but I just you guys getting bigger in every vlog.
