The message to Jews forever thereafter, one mustn't get altogether cocooned, enough to dissuade outreach or divine service. I do not know what this woman is saying, because some 2400 years ago, King Cyrus the Great welcomed the Jews who fled from the Roman and Byzantine invasions of Israel. Cyrus the Great, who authored the first ever declaration of human rights on the famed Cyrus Cylinder, gave the Jews safe haven in Persia thousands of years ago, but this woman is talking about how her father had to endure whatever in the town he lived in before moving to Tehran.
