- Here are a few ways to significantly increase HP and TQ on you 3rd gen Acura tl! This is a fairly easy DIY with the proper tools, and it should be for the following Acura TL 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008.

So glad I replaced the shocks on my hood, even got them in white to match the color of my car lol. While I’m not a fan of the tan interior I’m definitely a fan of Acura TL’s. Cheap to work on and not that difficult to replace the important bits
@12:23 that’s what she said!
Idk how my 07 tls hood struts are bad but my 94 eg hatch trunk shocks are fine
@@GreenBeamGlockCassarole crazyyyy
Get yourself a couple pair of small needle nose vice grips for pinching off those pesky coolant lines! NO messes on the floor!
OEM stabilus hood struts $25 for the pair at autozone
Shoot let me go right now🚶♂️
@@_MTgarage_ dude when my hood first started sagging last winter my bro was tryna show me some yt video and the second i found them at autozone that cheap i was like lets go rn
We need a J37 manifold vs J35Y manifold
Relatively exact same in terms of magnesium composition, but one difference I know of is J35Y is direct injection and ofc overall size
I have a 04 tl 3.2 can I put a 3.7 throttle body and run good ?
@vapeplug6457 yes but you will need the manifold as well to match I beileve
what is the one hose sitting atop the intake tube that's not connected
@tMena45888 orginally connect to the manifold bot got replace with a tube, does not connect to anything anymore, but it's connect to another bottomed hose doesn't affect anything negatively
I swapped mime to the 3.5 . Upper intake manifold . An a short ram dc intake an it slapps for me I have the 3.7 intake manifold but the plug an such is not fitting propper pins an such
@@AlxandEr29 you gotta swap some stuff over from the 3.5
Have a question.what would be the name of those wheels what kind.thanks...been looking for a set up them...

No check engine light? Mine came up for a vacuum leak so I had to put the original 3.2 back. Thinking it might be the thermal gaskets I got for the manifold spacer
Vacuum leak usually means something ain't completely sealed up 100%, no issues on my end at all. I don't think a thermo gasket could throw a code like that, did it run rough?
@@_MTgarage_ my problem was the top plentum screws ...had vaccum leak because i was missing two screws ...
@@_MTgarage_ well I was having issues with the manifold gaskets lining up, previous guy also had a 6mt non type s and said no check engine light on his end. Can’t be the hoses cuz I reused them for the original 3.2. Gonna have to troubleshoot 😂
@randomdude6240 yeah definitely double back and check every lil thing and if it's solid scan it and see what it says

Is it straight plug and play for a 3.5 or do you need a different throttle body to match the sensors plugs?
@@nickhernandez8805 a 3.5 is straight plug and play, 3.7 you gotta swap over some stuff
dont you have to tune it after installing a bigger intake manifold to actually make power?
@FatBoiiDaniel1600 no you don't have to tune with a manifold swap the tb and the ecu is within range to adjust to it, however once you're fbo you're gonna wanna tune it so it performs at the max capacity of everything installed. But this forsure is an easy mod that does make a noticeable difference right off the get go
PRO tip? What about stuffing rags into those intake runners before working on anything else!! Never know 1. When your going to drop a nut! 2. NEVER know how far down into the engine #1 is going to travel!! After 42 yrs of Honda/Acura work: I think maybe I should be
the one giving out the "pro tips". It's OK young man, just get those runners covered up,...NOW!😁😉
It easier to just port the old one than change to diffrent
Huh
Port the runners or the intake?
@@Davis.Official both
How much hp and tq do you think it gained???
@jesus20escamilla now this is a good question hmmm🤔
I wouldn't be able to really tell you about it with just the intake manifold alone because it's practically fbo, but I'd definitely say it's a significant amount. Even before when I had other j series and alone did the manifold upgrade it definitely does performance better
Is that from a 3.7 ?
Yes from tl sh awd j3.7
Wouldn't work on a clients vehicle w/ bad hood support struts!! Just choose the one w/the most seepage and replace!! CHEAP! BTW...ever had a hood fall on your hand?? #owwee!
That IS disgustingly dirty!! AND those JUNKY A/mkt wipers!! Shame! Nothing like OEM Honda wiper blades w/ Honda inserts!! They adorn my 02 Highlander & 00 Dingo!! 42 yrs of proff Honda service/ repair here....biased? U betcha! It' s the whale oil in the rubber products 😉
