I have to say thank you very much! My 2000 3.2 TL has intermittently failed to start more times than I can count. This morning I finally noticed the green key light blinking and not turning off which pointed to the immobilizer system which lead me to this video. I was literally about to tow it to a mechanic and probably be on the hook for hundreds if they even found the correct problem. I'm guessing they would have wanted to reprogram or replace the entire ECU. To any doubters, this fix 100% works but just be aware it takes about 4 seconds after putting the key in the ignition for the car to start.
Great it did for you. But after it failed for my 01 I ordered a emulator chip and put it exactly where the chip was removed. But only resodering pins 1/4/8/10/11/12. Even made the 350$key work that didn't help. Honda of Hickory! And lost one fob.. however putting the emulator chip in will cause your c/ engine light to stay on.. lets hope this first works for you all as well.....Dok

My girlfriend’s mom’s car has the exact same problem. I’ve just taken the ECU out to do this and the inside of the ECU looks totally different… there’s no little boards sticking up like that at all. It’s a 2005
I have a 1999 Honda prelude it cranks but doesn’t fire, I have compression, fuel and spark, but the key is not flashing at all on the dash, the only thing I can think of is the immobilizer, its a new motor and all
Well this worked for about a week and now it's doing the same thing as before, I'm going to install the bypass chip I got off eBay and see if that helps
@@javierpadro-sierra7522 the chip that i got off ebay was faulty, but i didn't figure that out until recently, now i ordered a new chip and will install around dec 26. but i had the same problem with the faulty chip, fingers crossed with the new chip
what my car is doing is i have to turn on the power and i wait until the warning chime stops then i start the car, and if i go somewhere the car has to sit for about 20 minutes before i can restart

Yeah mine looks way different than any of them I can find it brown not green and is marked as g8 on the cover and the board is huge and is mounted on the outer skin of the ecu instead of the center piece
will this method elimate the stiff brake pedal and the car from starting? my sons 2003 TL brake pedal is stiff to press down , the shifter will not move out park and car wont start. neutral switch and shift cable is fine, for some resason the anti-device module and ecu came acroos my mind.

I hope you broke off the correct one. But yes mine works. It takes about 5 secs to fire up & my CEL stays on. I put in the CL computer and tested it & the TCM light came on. But yes if you break it off the car does run fine. Just a CEL light
Stop driving the car ASAP!! That code correlates to The Fuel injectors being clogged up. Which makes sense why it won't idle. As you drive it's giving it more fuel but it's still running lean, which will destroy the engine. Drive it to a shop that can Clean & test the injectors, & also have them perform a fuel pressure test. It maybe an old worn out fuel pump. Either way it needs to be done asap!!! $500 is cheaper than a $3500 engine change.

i got a TL 05 change the immobilizer mines was sitting for a while and jus stopped workin didn't recognize the key it would just flash also i changed my ecu the immobilizer was bad reprogram it wit a locksmith

Can't find anything on the 98-2003 Honda Accord 3.0V6 with the junk Motorola PCM in it .Looks like Honda wisely returned to the Kei Hin/Aisin type PCM . I'm stuck with 2 of these with duff PCMs with no info on how to replace them with a known good one or remove the immobiliser from a Motorola PCM . Any one out there with any ideas I would appreciate it .

I lost the key to my car. I can get a key cut for about 60$. That will fit the doors/ignition. By removing the chip as showed in the vehicle I should have no issue driving the car or anything other than a cel light??
mine is having this issue i de-soldered it from the board and it still wont start checked all fuses and relays replaced starter, alternator, battery any suggestions?
@@559F13Pupp3t There are many videos on replacing the main relay... or.. you can have a friend that can solder do a touchup on the bad solder joints inside
I removed the chip and still have a no start man why did I listen to you now I’m going to have to buy a new one you shouldn’t remove this chip until you have no option at all
Replace your Main Relay. The chip was likely not your issue if it didn't fire & run for 5 secs & cut off. Google main relay & Learn how common of an issue it is.

Before. I swapped out the ignition switch & then had a different key, so I had to remove the immobilizer

Mine would rotate over, but not fire until I removed the chip. Look into acurazine.com & find your exact ecu thread
I have a 04 TL can I get a 07 ecu and remove the immobilizer chip and will the car start up, I’m trying to put hondata in with a turbo kit?
04-05 are the same & 06-07 are the same. So im not sure if they will work but it's possible

I believe it was because the key I had was cut & didn't have the chip inside it. But I truly don't know why the cel was on.

Why wouldn't the key come out of the ignition & does the CEL cause issues with passing inspections?
@@johnnyb6566 if you buy an Emulator on EBAY and solder it in place of the IMMO Chip. you wont have a CHECK ENGINE LIGHT anymore.. It works

Id say yes, but the chip may be in a different location in your ecu. So research it before hand

Correct! Its about a 4 second delay when u turn the key, then it'll start.

Google your cars model & find a picture of inside the ECU, locate the correct chip & break it off.
