These amps now days the Hi level inputs are solid! My Kicker KXA800.1 does not need any aftermarket converter. Its solid tapped into rear door speaker wires. The RF Prime is a good amp for Hi level use. Does rated power and more, clean sound.
Been watching for quite awhile, I’ve noticed something that most places don’t do..you both do the same thing with each vehicle, so there’s very little difference between Dean’s wiring/set up and Fernando’s. More places should be like this!! Also you all think ahead for not only the customer but maybe any repairs. I’m planning on going down have you fellas do my truck and I’ll go get some Hooters while I wait
I like that too Big Mo. I like to think of them as real life car stereo installer version of Breaking Bad. Dean is Walter White and Fernando is Jessie Pinkman. :)
Holy crap, I have used my center channel speaker in 2016 Ford Taurus for my high level input and have asked so many folks if it was ok due to it being a 3.5" speaker ajd crossed over to very little bass output and was told it was fine and would still work, and now I know that was the furthest from the truth! The front door speakers also output bass but the rear door speakers have the most bass so that's what I need to use for my high level output to input convertor. Now I know why I keep having the issues as turning up the amps bass boost and the gain @ 90%.... Ugh. Lol well, another question should I use the amps high level input or use a power convertor?
I have those same vise grips wire strippers from lowes and going from the standard red handled ones that you pull on to strip the wires the auto strippers are sooo much nicer and way faster idk how I managed to live without them! Only the yellow plastic piece fell off of mine? Oh! What do u reccomend for ends for connecting the wires to a screw down terminal amp?
When tapping in to speaker like that does it need to be 4 Ohm as I noticed in your case I saw 2 Ohm? Just that my current car happen to be 8 ohm and my after marked amp Pioneer GM-A6704 has High level input.
I have a question for you guys. I recently installed and amp and sub in a 2020 Camry hybrid. I used this same LOC and got the signal from the rear left speaker. The amp and the LOC are powered on and everything seems to be working good until I go turn the car off. The stereo doesn't turn off when the car is off and the door has been opened. The dealer says it's because there is power going back into the stock head unit from the wires attached to the speakers. Does that make sense? What did I do wrong?? Thank you so much for your time!
i guess Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Jayson Reid i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Love this video. Thanks for the in depth details. I installed for 3 years back in the 90’s. Let’s say I’m out of the loop. So looking for assistance. I have a 2020 Santa Fe with Infinity system. Looking to add subs and amp for subs on high level. I’m a old school base head. Had 8- 10” OZ Audio subs and 4- Audison mono-blocks in a Toyota Celica All Trac Turbo. So I’m looking to build 4-10” or 12” subs into the floor of the Santa Fe but want to keep stock head unit. Any advice would be appreciated.
Very informative as always , can I ask why you only tap in to one side for the signal input? I'm just about to install a pioneer under seat sub and it wants left and right inputs!?
Hey man I recently installed my mono amp high to low to a factory subwoofer on a 4Runner . It does not sound good ima try this same setup with a LP7-2 wish me luck !
They come with a party mode button . whenever it’s off the factory sub does not play . I think I can get a clearer sound by tapping into the front kick speakers
Ahhhhh.....the classic under the seat install! I can't tell you how many Rockford amps I installed under seats. 100's. Except the ones I did were all Punch DSM 40's and 60's!!! Of course our boss mad us use stingers....1" to 2" screws that were super sharp (I know you know what they are, Fergie probably does too) and were supposed to be rust proof....but the new holes we put in the car weren't! LOL! I was just get them out and get them in. SUCKED! This video's install would have been high end custom installs for us! Oh well, as long as you know you know it's wrong but you're being forced.....it's ok. Man. If I could just get that washing machine box full of Punch DSM end caps back, I'd be so set!!!!
Just tap into your speaker wires and send that to a line output converter which will give you RCA's. Then connect those RCA's to your subwoofer amplifier. Then maybe change out your door speakers and you probably will have a pretty good sounding system.if I was close by them I would totally understand going to the pros because they do it best but you'd be surprised what you can do after watching these guys
GRRR...... HELP! I have watched dozens of videos about using speaker level inputs/high level inputs. I understand the concept, but I want to know if I use the speaker level inputs from my factory subwoofer to send a signal to my aftermarket amp and subs "Do I lose my factory Sub"? I would like to keep my factory sub as a mid bass sub. If I use the speaker level inputs/High level inputs can I daisy chain the inputs off of the factory sub to give an input signal to my aftermarket amp? I have a 2006 Nissan Titan Crew cab with the 10 speaker Rockford Fosgate sound system. I want more bass! I have a small budget, so I was going to buy a 500 watt Rockford Prime mono amp with speaker level inputs/high level inputs and power 2 Rockford Prime 12" 250 rms subs. Can I do this or am I wrong in my system planning?
Umm, doesn't that Rockford have a speaker level input built in? Does it not work well? Have you found it to be an inferior way to get signal to the amp? Just curious.
Question for you Dean... How do you guys mount those pre-fab boxes? Do you let them slide around? You never show that part. Just curious. Great job as always.
I have a American Bass Xmas 12 inch subwoofer what would be the proper box for it I would love for you guys to make me a box I'm in South Carolina I will take the drive all the way to Florida for it is there any way I can get into contact with you thanks.
CH Steele there is nothing wrong with either brand or those models of products. Plus they are both companies that still innovate and do the research and development to come out with items that move the industry forward. You guys don’t even realize how vital they both are to the industry.
I used to run 2 Bazooka Tubes in the 80s I think they were 5 1/4 not to bad for what they were I was being fescicious Dean trust you I know they are good I'm disappointed all these American companies are outsourcing to China lol
For amplifiers with front and rear high level input, is it worth connecting both front and rear to it? Or is that strictly to keep the head units fade?
Typically the manual for the vehicle will cover all models, not just the specific model they are working on. So you will likely have to do much of the same testing they are doing anyway just to ensure operation and wire color at different locations.

Really nice clean job. Nice attention to detail.
Man!.. you guys scored on that firewall!!!
I love watching yalls videos 👍🏼
Love the videos, can you play the systems for at least 10-20 seconds on all these beautiful systems? I want to listen to the results. Thanks.
Simple setup. Nice job as usual fellas.
Someone got water for Dorian.😂..
Hello from Ft.Myers
When tapping in to speaker like that does it need to be 4 Ohm as I noticed in your case I saw 2 Ohm? Just that my current car happen to be 8 ohm and my after marked amp Pioneer GM-A6704 has High level input.
I did an install like this for one of my buddies car yesterday.not nearly as professional as yalls install but it sounded good.
@ 8:45 can someone tell me what kind of plastic that is (what it’s called)
My lithium battery guy said never to ground to chassis and to use the battery instead. What do you think?
Great job guys
I know this comment is a year late but I have this same amp under the seat in my KIA Forte 5 and it is definitely worth the money.
can i just tap in the speaker wires at the rear if my amp is in the boot

16:00 "Hey what's up"🤣
Great video guys!
Always 5 star work from you both, Mr. Dean & Mr.Fernado ! No pun intended 🙏🏾☝🏾💪🏾⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

@Benjamin Marley Instablaster :)
@Jayson Reid i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm.

Are you getting your high-level signal from one speaker and then running to the amplifier meaning that I don’t need to pick up right and left side?
Wait, why use one channel to send signal to the amp? Wouldn't you want two channels input?
Bass is pretty much mono output
Are those amps on the wall by the roll up door actually little light switch and control panel fixtures for your shop?
They are just old amps people have given us. Some work some don’t, most don’t.

trev815 i have exact same question..... left and right high level inputs on my amp...
did you ever find an answer?
@@pmcccarever find an answer?
Anyone figure out the answer for this yet?

I have a 2017 Impala I need you guys to really really hook me up with a decent sound system and set of woofers

Only tapping into the left signal for speaker output? So stereo bass is out?
Corie Burk bass is non derectional 👍
Those sounds come from the midbass.
Thank you for the great information!
Hi i got a question whats the difference between the white black and grey audiocontrol epicenter
The black is the latest version of the unit.
Fantastic video. So much " Brain Food" !
I was confused at first on the thumb nail it said part 2 and I was like wait what did I miss a video LOL
Thanks I will fix it
How was Fernando wearing a hoodie and jeans?
This was filmed in January

Not a fan, it is not 100% .
Thanks.
Power and signal ran together? Doesn't that pose possible signal interference
Not in this install
Dean, I would like to install TS-SWX2502 which Amp would you recommend
How do the heat ducts come into play, do you cap them off?
Amps get cold to.
Have you guys installed a system in a ws6 trans am?????
Who Cares PSH! Who Hasn’t? Who Cares? Unreal! I’m not impressed....... PSH!😂
How do you guys deal with the gain on the LP7-2? What’s the best way to tune it in conjunction with the gain on the amp?
Leave it up all the way.
Always “Top-Notch”. 👍🏼👍🏼
Question for you Dean... How do you guys mount those pre-fab boxes? Do you let them slide around? You never show that part. Just curious. Great job as always.
Depends on the customer and what they want. We try to make a brace on the floor if they ask for it.
With that tone I was thinking you working for AT&T or Verizon aka Frontier
I have a American Bass Xmas 12 inch subwoofer what would be the proper box for it I would love for you guys to make me a box I'm in South Carolina I will take the drive all the way to Florida for it is there any way I can get into contact with you thanks.
Sorry unfortunately we do not build boxes anymore
"Hey. Would You Look At That" lmao
A Rockford Fosgate amp running cheap Stillwater Design subs ☹

that chime bro lol
Who gives a thumbs down to these guys ? Fucking internet

Why not just find a manual for the car and go from there?
Knowing how things work is a far better skill.
@@FiveStarCarStereoInc I guess your right. For me work smart and work harder so a manual would help me do that.

Exploratory Surgery!!!
I only use Kraco stereo equipment because I fart a lot in the car and no one will ride with me.
🔥🔥
Ahoy
👍👍😎✌️
Dude u talk to much and mostly just rambling
Great video!!!!
What signal do you use for remote control that switch on amp?
As I know stock head unit does not have remote control output wire.
