How does charging get managed? Who is liable for interior damage? Who is insuring the car while in the fleet? What if it's called back mid fare or deployed hours away? Where does it station when in the fleet?

Zero chance we see this optimus robot in less than 10 years... Hes not wrong just his timeline for everything is to soon.
The only criticism is when he says as long as we are reducing the number of car crash deaths we are doing the right thing. We saw how forcing people to stay home and not work in the name of "safety" was horrifically damaging in so many ways & so many people to this day defend the numerous infringements on our freedoms and rights. I know Elon probably did not at all intend it, but with the implication that ANYTHING to stop death is "good" we know that is dangerous and not true. The main gripe with EVs, besides the sustainability not really being anywhere near cleaner or greener than oil especially during production, is the potential for the government to track & one day either disable or force a car to drive its owner to the authorities (I wish this sounded as ridiculous as and unlikely as it did a decade ago). So I think highlighting the issues with the vague statement is warranted with the push for 5 minute cities & discouraging interstate travel so people can escape areas & leaders that are no longer serving them.
