Howdy, friends! I started working on this video two weeks ago and so much has happened since - Biden spouting right-wing talking points about "illegals," liberals patting themselves on the back for sending a handful of expired meals to Palestine (while continuing to support their ethnic cleansing campaign), Biden announcing the US will officially be occupying the region in order to build a "port" in Gaza (which will surely not be used for military purposes), it's almost too much to keep up with. Time to tell it like it is. Our liberal friends need a wakeup call.

@SecondThought are you seriously saying AOC and Bernie Sanders are the same as Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff. Why have electoralism or democracy at all? You do realize Bernie Sanders is a true Progressive unlike Nancy Pelosi and is committed to Civil Rights even when it hurts him politically same with AOC. There are differences between Progressives and Liberals and you need to premise that those true Progressives in power are are marginalized by the Liberals who demand negative peace over positive one.

MLK Jr wasn't murdered directly because of wanting to end segregation and racism, but shortly after he started speaking truth to power and tied the struggle of black Americans to the struggle of the working poor. Once he realized that racism went hand in hand with wealth disparity he was assassinated, because those with the most would sooner make him a martyr and co-op his message than ever allow fair wealth distribution to become a reality in this country. The struggle has always been a struggle of class, it's just those at the bottom rungs of society tend to be minorities that get ground to dust the fastest.

Also, as a Jew myself, the idea that protesting Israel is antisemitic would be hilarious if it weren't so sad. For one, tons of us do not and have never supported it. For another, people seem to forget that Arab Palestinians are, in fact, also Semitic people. (But then, these are the same people who insist on calling white people "Caucasian." Since when does the actual meaning of words matter?)
Anyway, there are multiple reasons for a Jew not to support Israel. For one, many of the Jews who have historically supported it have been secular Jews who don't care about our faith or traditions whatsoever. For two, it's outright sinful to take back the Holy Land ourselves or rebuild our own Temple. Only the Messiah can do that. For three, and perhaps most importantly, especially now, we've been the victims of pogroms and genocides for hundreds and thousands of years; there's nothing more sad or disturbing than Jews doing to others what has been done to us. We've always been on the side of the oppressed standing against tyranny. This is not us, and anyone who thinks it is is someone I don't wish to be associated with.

I find it very interesting reading about the origins of Zionism, it seems to me it was initially created and supported by only a handful of the ultra-wealthy, whereas most Jews found the idea to be absurd, with some even believing it to be a Goyish conspiracy to get rid of them... The Gaza war has made it so much more obvious. All the people I grew up with talked about what they would have done in Nazi Germany to fight for justice. The left is analysing existing hierarchies (such as that which exists between workers and the owner classes) and opposing them, seeking to transform a society from what it is into a less oppressive societal organisation. The only class that would be disenfranchised in a socialist regime is the owner class, which produces and reproduces injustice and inequality. This reminds me of one of my best friends. A very open-minded guy, very empathetic. Happens to be American, but the minute there was some violence around the BLM protests. He turned his back, claiming that the methods weren’t correct, but yet, he also doesn’t believe that the Democratic process will change anything either, And he doesn’t believe in strikes. So it’s very frustrating to know what to say to a person like that. You don’t believe that the Democratic process will change anything, which I can understand at this point. You don’t believe that strikes are appropriate because it disrupts peoples day, and you think that a protest or March is illegitimate immediately, because some violence happens, when it is all filtered to you by the same media who wants to shut it all down. Basically you end up being a person who doesn’t like the way the world is and has closed up all options of doing anything about it as inappropriate

The thing that pisses me off so much about the Toronto Mt Sinai Hospital thing is that the hospital is along a major street called University Avenue where pretty much EVERY major protest walks along, and someone always climbs up on that scaffolding along the street, no matter what the protest is. @luminator911 I can't speak for him, but I'm 36. I grew up in a "Blue State" that is / considered pretty left leaning. As far as one can call a state left leaning in this capitalist hellscape. Also, I had moved here from New York City. So, not only did I live in a bubble here in my new state. But I came from a place where there was every type of person, and that was my baseline normal. Eventually, what really opened my eyes to what was going on was when George Bush Jr. was able to steal the election and get away with it. I was not able to vote in that election, in-fact I wouldn't be able to vote until after High-School because I graduated when I was 17. I was introduced to radical politics because of the school I attended. I went to a special school that only accepts in coming juniors and seniors from anywhere in my state. You have to take an entrance exam and write a couple of essays, and then they let you know if you are in. They do this for two reasons, they can only take so many students, and they want to take kids that are there for the right reasons. Those reasons are a care and passion about the environment. There were some right-wing kids there, but only a couple that I know of. We would have open discussions about the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and they struggled to get anyone to play devils advocate for the state, let alone support them. Anyway, by the time I left school I was a radical environmentalis and on my way to where I am today, politics wise. I wanted to tell you this story because my experience is a lot different from the original poster you were commenting on, where he talks about open racism and Nazi flags in his school.

I'm jealous. Me and my father got along well until October. I tried to talk to him about Gaza because he thinks they can leave any time they want and the conflict is religious going back to biblical times. He refuses to speak about Gaza and called me antisemitic for saying Israel is an apartheid state. After that conversation he became distant and when my financial situation changed for the worse he said all all kinds of harsh things that served no purpose other than to knock me down further. I stopped talking to him and blocked his number.

So who do you vote for if you are in the west, in America? Biden who this video claims is AN enemy or Trump who will give Russia everything they dream of and take Ukraine for their own while Trump would give it to them regarding of how much they have fought to protect their sovereignty? I would take Biden over Trump because it's not just Gaza vs Ukraine, that's not fair to either of them, a world war won't help either of them, a destroyed republic is not helping either of them, conservatives will still help Israel, they had no problem voting that bill, but they will gladly give Ukraine to Russia. Iran, Saudi Arabia, Russia, north Korea and China have all been enemies of the west through their actions, called for our destruction. I don't support war except when it is for defense, when you backed into a corner, I support Israel's right to exist in this world and I support Palestine's right to exist. I don't have an answer about where either of them should go or if they should move, I wish I had the answer but no different than it's not helpful for the US to break up into racists and wokes, it's not fair to remove either of them from their lands. It's not black and white but Trump will do more damage than Biden, so who will you vote for when you have one vote?

He took it one step further and saw that the children of polite white liberals growing up in the 60s and 70s would go on to adopt the language of civil rights, but instead of actually give up power, simply manage the situation with a smile and a concerned voice.
