  • The Fabia is Skoda’s small hatchback, and a rival to cars like the Ford Fiesta, Volkswagen Polo and plenty of others. What the Fabia lacks in driving panache and, arguably style, it more than makes up for in comfort, practicality and value.

    Love this brand, on my third Fabia estate, 2006, 2013 and now 2018. The two first ones took me and my family safely 350 000 km without no problems at all. Bought bigger engines but gets less consumption. Now 3cl 1.0 L, turbo with 95 HP. Not a flashy car, but all you need. Really hope Skoda can keep the good work up.

    Nice car. I really wanted a TSI but none around here sold one. I had to move up to a TSI Golf but man I miss these smaller cars. The looks are sharper on this Monte Carlo compared to the 2016 I was looking at. Not a huge leap forward, but some nice nips and tucks to keep it looking fresh.

    I had a Skoda Citigo having downsized from a Ford Focus after I retired. I was on my second Citigo and had only done 4,500 in it in just under 2 years. But I knew I would get an offer from Skoda after 2 of the 3 year PPC deal I had with them And sure enough (sadly for the car industry probably more prompted by Covid) it became apparent offers were being made. So I decided with such low milage to see what they were. OK they do not produce the petrol Citigo, so it was a look at the Fabia. The deal was amazing and suited me so I ecided to treat myself. The Skoda Sales Guy was amazing and I came away happy and in about a week I had my new car. Now comes the interesting bit. Although he had obviously made me aware of some of the new features Ithe Fabia gave me , I was stunned to realise how many 'extras I was getting. I can read the handbook to see how to take advantage of them but I am 74. Reasonably techy for my age but due to Covid the supplier was unable to run through in the normal handover to run through them . Of course the offer is there if I call and ask. But I was made aware of You Tube Vidoes to help. This is the first one I have seen. Thanks. Checking out! Fabia Video.

    I sort of regret buying my 2019 Fabia. It’s a fantastic car and I like many things about it. I knew that well enough before buying thanks to experience in my parent’s Skoda Superb, but with hindsight I can see it was a high pressure sale to me.
    I was sold the car (within an hour of my first visit) and I feel I was approved to buy what they wanted to sell rather than the car I wanted to buy which after a few weeks I think would have been in a different colour and a different edition of the Fabia, or a higher spec used car, maybe a hybrid (electric and petrol). I think I agreed to this because I was just in shock at getting approved for finance and didn’t want lose that approval. Suggestions for alternative colours and options were never made to me.
    Anyway, as I said, it’s a brilliant car and perhaps when I use it more, then I’ll enjoy it more.

    330 Lt boot space on the skoda fabia and you say bigger than any class rivals, but Seat Ibiza has 355 Lt. Also , Ibiza is the sportier alternative to fabia, but yeah the world spin around the Ford Fiesta. Nice job.

    What car does a beholder drive?

  • @indetailsydney2852
    @indetailsydney2852 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    So let you know, in the estate the seats DO! Fold flat!!! Lift the seat cushion on its front edge then fold it forward from the rear edge. Then fold the seat back down. Add the Vario Floor and the you have a full flat floor 1700mm long. At 1.8m tall I can sleep in my 2018 Fabia Estate diagonally! This is a great car. I replaced my 2003 Saab 9-5 Aero Estate (270kW, 440Nm) with my Fabia Estate 81TSI. Australian spec cars get 81kW 200Nm 7sp DSG drive train probably equal to an SE in the UK. I had to import from ŠKODA-parts, a company in Czech Republic all my accessories including the Vario Floor as ŠKODA Australia is a very, very small concern that doesn’t really want to support its product when the VW and Audi brands are going so well. Final word. I love it.

      Maybe they are trying to move away from diesel since the scandal volkswagen had, and the fact that they produce more smog than petrol ones?

      Since a couple of countries already announced to ban diesel cars in the near future, I am surprised that traders still keep offering them. But as I experienced it is a really British thing to not realise, that market started to get rid of diesel?

    What were they thinking with the clearance of that suspension? Looks like it's on stilts. You can specify sports suspension but nobody likes that standard look, surely? Furthermore, despite it being a generally sharp looking car, why is the interior so garish and downright nasty in the Monte Carlo? It looks horrendous, whereas the brushed aluminium panels on lower spec offerings is really classy. The carbon fibre panels in most of the Monte Carlos look really cheap, tacky and pretentious - unbefitting of a Skoda and particularly one that had a loyal following of VRS enthusiasts from previous versions.
