I loved it. To me was like watching the 80's classic The Outsiders, 90's GoodFellas and SOA all in one movie. There is a love story here as well between Kathy, Benny and Johnny. Kathy and Benny's marriage vs. Benny and Johnnys brotherhood. I enjoyed it. I thought was good. I'm also biased though lol because I love motorcycles and that early to mid 60's greaser era.
The lighting and cinematography was stellar. Great acting. Jody Comer should get an academy award for her role. It’s a throw back movie which is refreshing compared to recent years of Marvel CG movies. We need more like this movie.
all that really survives from the bike culture of the 60s is the stereotypes. as a guy who wrenched on bikes in the 60s, it was the mask that engaged me, not the face behind the mask.bikers were in fact actors of a sort who were busy 'freaking out the squares'. the book of photographs is a deeper work than what i've sampled of the movie. those photos are resonant; almost make me cry.
