Insight: Went in with my bro, got 6 booster boxes, 2 ETBs and probably 20 or so singles at this point. First 3 booster boxes we pulled 1 Pikachu from each (all different but got the grand daddy). First ETB I got the final Pikachu. Since then it's been ROUGH! We honestly thought we had the odds of pulling 1 Pikachu from each box but now, 3 booster boxes later and not a single Pikachu and nothing from all the singles. I think we are tapped out, but need 20 or so cards to complete the set.
6 Double rare per BB 2 Ace spec per BB 2-3 Ultra Rare per BB 3 Illustration Rare per BB 1 SIR per 2 BB 1 Hyper Rare per 4 BB Our sleeved cases gave exact same numbers.
Were they random? Did you guys pay attention to slot vs hit/no hit? Remember the booster boxes that you could pull the hits from once you know where the first hit is? Can it be done with a case of sleeved? Cause I’ve seen sleeved boosters suspiciously low priced online
@ossmann89 these are the numbers from other streamers that have opened 1000's of packs. We only opened two sealed cases, 1 sleeved case and 1 booster box case. The numbers for us matched to a T on both cases.
I think TCGplayer published that the pull rates for a SIR is 1/87 packs. With a sample size of 8,000+ packs. That’s 1 SIR in about 3 booster boxes… not so hot.
I truely have no idea how u hit that much... My friends and I just opened up 3 boosterboxes for a video and we got totally ruined;( but we had loads of fun doing it which ofc is the most important part:))
I personally think the Alolan Exeggutor SIR or the Ceruledge IR cards are the 2 best looking cards in the set. I also agree the best way to go with this set is buy other products ratchet than the booster boxes for a better chance at the SIR/IR's. I ripped 12 of the 3 pack blisters and killed it with a out 18 hits total including the Hydreigon EX SIR
I think the Exeggutor SIR is my favorite card but the Milotic is a close second. I love the way the rainbow border on the Exeggutor seamlessly blends into the art on the card and I love the connection of the Milotic with the Feebass. The art on both of them is beautiful!
me and my little brother love pokemon cards, we don't have many but we really enjoy watching people open them to see all the artworks in new sets but in your hunt for pikachu you didnt really care for the non rares we missed all the cool new cards. hope you feel better soon! Definitely waiting for prismatic evolutions, it’s an eevee set, it’s got Tera eevee, which is a throwback to when the games released and there were Tera eevee raids everywhere, gonna be much more fun to open, likely with better pulls.
Favorite card from Surging Sparks is probably between the Skarmory IR, Latios IR or the Ceruledge IR. Hard to pick just one. Hopefully I get to see the cards in person, might make up my mind then 😂
Honestly my favorite card is pikachu sir. Pikachu has been my favorite Pokémon since day one. It’s been my favorite for over 20 years. I’m so glad pikachu is still a relevant pokemon to this day!
Out of the SS cards my fav is probably the Clobbopus. It’s simplistic but done so well, I’m happy it’s not super expensive since I haven’t been able to pull it I can at least get it later on
My favorite card from surging sparks is latias EX SIR! But I love the set so much in every way, phanpy and skarmory IR, Jasmine's Gaze SIR, Hydreigon Full Art and SAR, lots of cards I love in the set.
I bought 4 single blisters today and got 1 full art and 1 SIR. No Pikachu unfortunately though. Favorite card from Sparks? Pikachu ex SIR. I Doubt I'll ever get one though.
My favorite would be the Pikachu Ex Alt art! I'd love to open a few and get a Pikachu, Latias, or Latios, but I think I'll be wise and keep them sealed ;)
Really look forward to when I can get some of these packs. Love the idea of pulling that pikachu. That is what makes ripping so addictive is the chase😂.
im fully positive the PIKACHU is gonna fall to about $100 after the first 2 months and right now is a sales hype for pokemon company to push more products. but my thoughts aside i definitely say that the HYDREIGON SIR is my favorite card of this set
The fact its still climbing is nuts because its not even THAT good looking of a card. We have opened maybe 30 packs and we got more for our son for Christmas. We will be going HARD on Prismatic though
Well, i just started collecting again after approx 10 years after selling my gen 1 collection for peanuts. I pulled a gold Gravity Mountain card now so i guess that will be my favourite since it’s the first one that has a bit of worth!
I have already opened 8 booster bundles, 10 single packs, 3 of the tri packs and 1 ETB and I have not really pulled much! I have opened so much Pokémon in my life and have only once pulled the #1 card and to my luck it was a shinny Charizard (at the time it was great till the reprint). Never ever since have I pulled myself a top card! I am praying surging sparks will be my jam but I want that Pikachu so so bad! I hope I don't have to rip 500 packs to pull him! My favorite card looks wise out of surging sparks is the Pikachu ex gold such a beautiful card!
Pull the pikachu SIR just for the hype, don’t forget 2 hit the button Fav card is the Latias or Milotic but out of the packs I open got the alaon exeggutor and hydregion SIRs which both are beautiful, rainbow boarders are gorgeous

This was HORRIBLE PULL RATES!! Usually 14 hits out of a booster box and 3 IRs…you got 17 hits out of like 60 packs and only 2 IRs in 50 packs. BAD!!!

my favourite card from surging Sparks is the Scovillian. I am going to build a deck focused on that card, i think it has lots of potential.
The Milotic SIR. The card is just stunning graphically to me. Focuses more on the environment and not just the pokemon.
Something about the Slakoth illustration rare just speaks to my soul.
I cant say I ever remember a set going this crazy days after release. Insane stuff but sadly think it will only go down in a few months.

Sleeved single packs have been super lucky for me. Think I am like 11 for 13 and pulled the Latias ex!
I've only ripped sleeved boosters and 3 pack blisters so far with decent success. My favorite card in the set has to be the Skarmory IR.
I think it's a toss-up between the Exeggutor SIR and the Skarmory, with the Hydreigon SIR close behind... they just look so good!
Can't go wrong with that Pikachu EX. I agree on the blister packs, I pulled a few alt arts from ES out of blister packs back in the day.
Surging Sparks has a lot of cute cards! The one I was hoping to get was the Milotic SIR. I also love the Spheal and Phanpy IR's.

Blister packs and sleeved boosters are definitely the way to go. Luckily I already pulled my favourite card of this set, the chrome skarmory.

Opened a box os SSP last week and was pretty happy with the hitrates. Got the 219/191 Pika among others.
Milotic SIR is by far my favorite from this set, it looks so good! Im still back and forth on ripping my BB and PC ETB.
