If you listened closer at the intro you will find the melody sounds kinds of similar to "Glass Onion" intro by the Beatle's:

it's literally just two chords in a very common progression, i think what makes this song special aside from the instrumentation is how good the call and response melodies are and how it seems to modulate back and forth thorough the song

I just watched Dfactor LongPlay's let's play on this game.
This song is pretty much the only song I like a lot from the game, although not all of the music was that bad
But the original Croc game really did have a better selection of music than Croc 2 in my opinion.
The talking from the Gobbos quickly got so repetitive and annoying
