- Looking for a homeschool art curriculum? Are you a non-artistic homeschool mom wondering how to even begin teaching your children art? I felt the same exact way until I discovered an art curriculum that took all the stress out and helped my family create fun memories around art projects.
Today I am sharing what art curriculum we used, why, and how it worked for my children.

I'm so thrilled I came across your video! I have always loved art, but it was never a focus for me growing up. My 2nd grader loves all things art and I really want to support and encourage that but am completely lost! This curriculum looks completely perfect and exactly what I was trying to find!
Yay! I am so glad it was helpful. Let me know which book you get and how it goes!
@@LittlebyLittleHomeschool We decided to go with the first K-3 book since it appears to cover many different mediums and styles. I told her about it and she is very excited! Thank you again for such a detailed review!
@@sewwhat85 Yay!!!! Have fun!
This is such an amazing resource! We are on our 2nd year of homschooling and art is a complete struggle not because my kids don't enjoy it because they love it but I'm not artistic at all. And finding something to follow is hard. Thank you so much
Yay! I'm so glad this was helpful for you. Let me know which book you get and how it goes!
Thanks so much for the video. Exactly what I've been looking for.
Wow these books look incredible! I am so excited to use these this year! Thank you for sharing.
Let me know how they work for your family! Also, I am sharing more on my podcast, Little by Little Homeschool, instead of over here. :)
Great video! Exactly what we're looking for. Thank you!
Yay! Please let me know how it works for your family!
Very helpful. Thanks for posting.
thank you so much for this fantastic presentation🙂
Great video! This is something that we'll be adding to our homeschool!
Fantastic! Let me know which book you get and how it goes.
@@LittlebyLittleHomeschool I'm not quite sure yet as I have various grades (next year will be tot school, K, 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th). I know you mentioned that one book could be used with several grades. I'm really glad you shared this as I have not seen it anywhere else!
@@jencarrier You can definitely use one book for various ages or another possibility with your age-range is to get one for the lower grades and one for the upper grades. Or pick a middle of the road one and make it more simple for the younger age range.
These look beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
Absolutely! I'm glad it was helpful. Let me know which one you decide to use. :)
@@LittlebyLittleHomeschool I found the Book 1 for Junior High for my 13 year old on a discounted book site, and it should be arriving soon! This week, we are beginning Living Art Lessons by Masterbooks a basic course that explores the 7 elements of art, & uses different media. I purchased it (the MB one) last month, but we have not yet begun. It am hoping it will be a good overview/introduction to start with, even though the recommended age is 4th to 6th grade on that one. Hopefully, we can find a way to incorporate both the Artistic Pursuits curriculum and the Living Art Lessons. I am hopeful that it will pique his interest and give him confidence with his art.
@@liztefft5312 This sounds amazing! Great job getting these resources.
Oh! So thankful for this video! As I was listening to the beginning of the video, I was wondering if you were going to tell us about Artistic Pursuits. I think I want to buy it as soon as I can :)
Yay! I love that you had already heard of these books. They have been so good for our family and I know my kids are getting some solid art instruction...in spite of my lack of artistic ability. Let me know which book you get and how it goes!
Thank you - however, I was hoping to see the pages clearer and the inside of the older/est child's book.
Can my high schooler take Visual Arts AP offline with art books I choose from library and still get the extra .5 credit?
Thank you for the video! I have been looking at the grades 4-5 books for my 4th and 6th grader. Do you have a favorite between the 2 books?
I would suggest deciding on if you want to focus on something specific to help make your decision. Do you want them to focus on painting, etc?
Is the Artistic Pursuits art curriculum faith based or secular? Thanks so much for doing this video!
