    We love adding art and music! I love the idea of formalizing it a bit more like this too.

    The STEM bins sound so fun! When Ashlea shares about them I thought that sounded so neat! I like the little bins you bought for them.

    We used that same book from Artistic Pursuits last year and we probably did a couple of lessons a month we will be finishing the book this year. My daughter loved this book. About halfway it has your student do a gallery for friends and we had a dinner one night and invited everyone over so she could show her art. It was her favorite curriculum we used last year.

    We use apps as well. I’ve used crafts I’ve used as a pre school teacher and Sunday school teacher. Bible and set can go together. We teach music thru learning an instrument as I’m a guitarist and pianist. We often listen to worship music as we do other work and other things at home. I learn to tap on a beat to learn pitch. U could talk to ur kids bout ur pappa as u teach the pipe organ.

      Michelle, which curricula are you using for multicultural art and music? I've searched high and low and cannot find ANYTHING K-6 for Latin, African, Middle Eastern or Asian music history or art history. It's all classical and very Euro-centric, which is fine, but I'd like to incorporate other cultures too!

    • @MichelleGayScienceTeacher
      @MichelleGayScienceTeacher 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@user-vg8ez9cu6u I don't use any particular curriculum. I develop my own lessons. I teach at a public school.

    Thanks for the info! I also started last year and I have enjoyed being able to watch you go through the same steps in the homeschooling journey. Some of your kids are even the same ages as mine! I have a 3rd grader and 1st grader. As well as a 2 year old and 8mo old. I admire you sharing your journey and figuring it out!

    Thank you so much for sharing this! This will be my first year kinda homeschooling, my kids school will have a online virtual course but they will not have a teacher or zooms or anything so I see it as basically homeschooling with online work🤷🏻‍♀️ idk they haven’t gave much information about so I’m gonna try it for a bit until I know what I’m doing “homeschool” wise. Also love your channel I just subscribed

    Hey, Christie! I'm looking for a great art curriculum for next year, and saw your video in the suggested list! I know you filmed this in July 2020, but are you still using ARTistic Pursuits? Did it work for your family? If not, what else have you been using? I'm really looking into Atelier Art Homeschool. Just curious!

I can’t wait to hear your History video choice, I want to go with Notgrass with the 50 states but it doesn’t come out until August 31 but I think I might wait for it.
