- Ferrari has tested a new aerodynamic package at Fiorano which will make its debut next week at Imola, and it seems like the results have been quite promising for the Maranello team. The car looks totally different and while it does resemble some elements of the Red Bull RB20, a closer look does reveal that Ferrari has intepreted the design in its own unique way. With this in mind, what changes have Ferrari incorporated for the SF-24 with its latest upgrade package? And more importantly, are these upgrades enough for Ferrari to challenge Red Bull on a weekly basis?

Ferrari have revelaed the SF-24's Imola upgrade package at Fiorano, and we have discussed all about the upgrades today.
Enjoy the video!
Once again, a great detailed video man! Keep this up.
Informative video
I did. Thank you ❤❤
my ears are dyeing to listen "here comes Charles Leclerc towards the checked flag Ferrari on P1"
Crofty: He won in Imola, he wins in Monaco!
ok thats enough copium for today
@@askeladden450i need that actually 🙏🙏
@@Snazzy16 me too xD Lets gooooo ! Positive vibes only !
He deserves the win.
As a Ferrari fan, I’ve been visiting Formula 1 races for more than 15 years, and I’ve only seen a Ferrari win once (Monza 2006) 😢 I’ll be at Imola next week … it would be a dream to see a Ferrari win with all the tifosi around … ❤
Don't give me hope.
Red Bull situation is getting worse
There is hope my friend. You must believe. 😂
There is always hope young padawan
Lets wait this weeked and see..
The upgrades are aggresisve, but its not a Red Bull copy for sure. It looks good, hope its fast.
And whats this about the Red Bull suffering from cooling issues. Hope thats not the case and we get a competitive field for race wins and podiums in 2024.
The upgrades are nice, overbite is the way to go it seems. I cant believe the Merc concept was actually right. Eliiot will be like, I told you so 😆😆😆
I mean their flap was right, the 0 pod wasn't
The overbite is a very small detail in the grad scheme of things, and something Mercedes didnt even do willingly.
The RB and Ferrari are true underbites, where the inlet forms part of the undercut itself.
Mercedes and Mclaren are are/were normal sidepods with a aerodynamic element placed above the the inlet.
Mercedes didnt even do a overbite willingly, their aerodynamic elemnt was a hangover from the zeropods, where it housed the side impact structure so could not be moved
Merc had some good ideas. Their execution has been horrid since the new cars debuted though. And every time they try to fix anything they make it worse.
When you win 8 straight years everyone is happy when you catastrophically fall from grace
Just for clarification, no team is allowed to test aerodynamic parts out of a practice session, but if they want to film the car, then they can run the car outside of an F1 weekend with limitations
Yes, cause filming days are out of restrictions. Like teams don't get very useful data, as tyres are totally different, there is a speed limit and things like that.
In Ferrari's case, they ran the SF-24 here at Fiorano, so running the upgrades does give them relatable data. Ferrari exploiting the rules a bit.
@@overtakefans It would be nice if you included that in the video because it was a very informing video
@@overtakefansas if red bull doesn't "exploit the rules a bit"
Maybe ferrari should up their catering budget?
@@pneumansfia already give Ferrari extra income per season so the probably get free catering
@@ConnorS5645 hahaha cope. Doesn't change the cost cap
3:30 that elements is legal?
Great graphics for explaining the changes to the new SF-24 EVO
Yeah! like the w15 rocket during pre season
SO EXCITED!!!!
When one compares the overall area of combined intakes on the Ferrari vs Red Bull, rollhoop air box included, you’ll see the former is not necessarily ’safer’.
Hope it’s fast.
Lets hope these upgrades provide Ferrari with a winning car
Ferrari sf24 latest upgrade could be challenge RB20. I think this one is stronger package, so entire the grand prix season. We hope more interesting races every single weekend.
It's a bit of a shame that the cars now look very similar. The three different concepts of the big teams were very interesting. I miss the pretty 2022 Ferrari nose. But no matter, Ferrari is steadily heading in the right performance direction. Master🅱️lan times are over. Vasseur has a real plan. I'm looking forward to Imola.
Love your vids❤
Really appreciate the love!
I love it when the so called experts say that the package is "conservative", I found the SF24 at launch quite different to last year and said immediately it would be a good car. You cannot have a stable platform race in / out if you keep dramatically changing the platform ( like Mercedes did), because you just simply don't understand what the changes are doing. Also why have you not mentioned the elephant in the room - Mclaren I heard they went pretty good last time out...
The idea of it being conservative was that even though they overhauled the car they didn't take any risks with it. Which was by design so they could understand the car and utilize the potential of the powerful engine they have BEFORE introducing big upgrades. That is how you build a winning car. You can't just slap on a bunch of risky ideas without understanding the way the car handles first.
Ferrari have been night and day better since vasseur joined. He really seems to know how to manage that team and not collapse under the Ferrari pressue
I dont like Ferrari but I'm starting to like Fred. He means business, and is a good team boss. Their drivers are great as well
Agreed
Truly hope that Ferrari produces decent for Lewis
Expectation : 🚀
Reality : 🏎
My ears cannot wait for race winner lewis hamilton
Stop jinxing it . Let see it first at imola and then make these videos.
Well said
We are checking 😂
Isn't this against the rules? Testing Isn't allowed during the season?
Well, filming days are excluded. The FIA have set some rules though, limited speed and only prototype tyres are given. So data will be most likely a small set & not much relevant. Yet, a good to have one though.
Was getting excited until he mentioned red bull also bringing upgrades to imola...
Most teams bring upgrades to Imola every year. Nothing new. Red bulls upgrades are minor
