Love this one to bits but then I adore Andrew Lloyd Webber. I want this played at my funeral. Yes he did dedicate it to his father. To the person who said he ripped off Faure you should listen to the two together. The one is nothing like the other. I studied the Faure version for CSE music in school. To the person who said that Sarah should "role" her r's in this I agree in part though Andrew Lloyd Webber is noted for insisting on having everything sung as he wrote it, something which Sarah, as his ex wife, she would be well aware of. She sings this submilely.
I like it this melody .make me relax my brind and my soul want to go up. It is nice. Sometimes make me cry because always i thinking in jesuscrist. 😔😪. 🙌Glory.
OMG, this was a hard song to track down. I heard it once, and didn't know the person who wrote the song or the singers and given my lack of memory of words or the language. Some how I found it because of the oboe. I'm so glad I found it, it is a masterpiece.
Almost convinced by others that I was unlovable and detestable, I listened and realized that Adonais has always loved me and has a purpose for my life. Tears of joy have replaced the voices of hatred. Why are humans so often "inhumane"?
I sang this in Latin with a Male Chorus nearly 20 years ago. I never knew the English lyrics to this composition until last week. The words are beyond description in the depth of their meaning to me now, since the recent loss of my beautiful wife of 39 years.

Wow this takes me back! Been looking for this for some time. We used a version of this song for our Easter Passion play every year from like the early 90’s up until like ‘08. Whether it be this version or the live version one of our wonderful choir members would sing, this song was always very touching to me. Chills to this day; eyes welling each time. Blessings and goodness to everyone here.🙏🏾

Truly a masterpiece!!! Sarah Brightman at her best and most elegant!!!
1:18 looks like the kid version of Andrew Lloyd Webber.
By far one of the best from Sarah Brightman. It just touches you right in the heart
Hi how are you doing?
Love this one to bits but then I adore Andrew Lloyd Webber. I want this played at my funeral. Yes he did dedicate it to his father. To the person who said he ripped off Faure you should listen to the two together. The one is nothing like the other. I studied the Faure version for CSE music in school. To the person who said that Sarah should "role" her r's in this I agree in part though Andrew Lloyd Webber is noted for insisting on having everything sung as he wrote it, something which Sarah, as his ex wife, she would be well aware of. She sings this submilely.
And here is the same. Bravo! th-cam.com/video/VXNc9LPV3MM/w-d-xo.html
One of the most beautiful songs ever made
Sarah is a worldwide treasure. I cannot listen to her enough. She is truly the Angel Of Music.
Isn't the Angel of Music Michael Crawford though?
I am from the 80’s and I am simply in love with this song. What a masterpiece!
Your message makes you sound like a time traveller!

I like it this melody .make me relax my brind and my soul want to go up. It is nice. Sometimes make me cry because always i thinking in jesuscrist. 😔😪. 🙌Glory.
Cette musique ne touche pas les âmes sensibles, mais les pures...
OMG, this was a hard song to track down. I heard it once, and didn't know the person who wrote the song or the singers and given my lack of memory of words or the language. Some how I found it because of the oboe. I'm so glad I found it, it is a masterpiece.
Andrew lloyd webber wrote it
Jackie Evancho does a really nice job singing this. Check out her voice.
I’ve always loved it... when I’m and out of earshot alone I sing it to myself 🙂
He don't write it. Only the music.
Try the Katherine Jenkins version.
Almost convinced by others that I was unlovable and detestable, I listened and realized that Adonais has always loved me and has a purpose for my life. Tears of joy have replaced the voices of hatred. Why are humans so often "inhumane"?
Makes you feel...there must be angels....
Worthy is The Lamb and may He recieve His reward for His suffering. King Jesus reigns now forever and ever.
Still, THE best version. Impeccable.
Mr Andrew Lloyd Weber, God,s inspiration was over you. Thank you and be blessed.
I sang this in Latin with a Male Chorus nearly 20 years ago. I never knew the English lyrics to this composition until last week. The words are beyond description in the depth of their meaning to me now, since the recent loss of my beautiful wife of 39 years.
I'm so sorry for your loss. In the spirit of the song....may you be granted mercy in your grief.
I'm so sorry for your loss😢

Were we ever this young? Ah, they were so talented and did so much. In my own life, notsomuch. Such as bittersweet song.
I'm no longer a young person. I was a teen when Jesus Christ Superstar was so glorious (played that vinyl album ALWAYS!). But ALW's music just keeps getting more and more stunning, and the performances more and more other-wordly. Simply amazing.
Thanks for all the love and support. I am blown away by the love from you all. I know these are hard times but with love and faith we shall all see the light again 🥰❤️❤️. Love you
this is a beautiful song. Thanks to Malakai Bayoh BGT, now I love this song
I love Sarah Brightman, her voice reminds me of my mum :))) She liked her very much when she was alive
I have no words, I grow weak in the presence of beauty

Played this at my grandmother’s funeral. Beautiful piece of music.
Blessings and goodness to everyone here.🙏🏾
Most beautiful song ever
I don't care what anyone says - surely surely there's a God. Not a feeble whimsical diety, but all knowing all powerful and......entirely loving God!!!
Me too.. Came searching for the song because it stuck to my heart and soul. 😊
If you are here because of Malakai's BGT 2023 Performance just leave a positive comment for the boy and drop a like

Masterpeice. Beautiful in every possible way. I think of life between space and time and my worry for humanity and earth. I wonder what is after this life if there is anything at all. Also, where have my loved ones gone after death. They were such characters surely you don't just die. ???☝

Malakais voice brought me to tears, thank you universe for showing me this song
I find it amazing that this is by a man known more for Broadway. A friend of mine is an opera singer, and it was by her I learned of this piece. It is the one thing I always have her sing for me.

This song brought me into singing, my mother had the cassette and I just started to sing along (sort of) and next I knew I was on a boys Choir, going for my 25th year now.
This always makes me cry whenever I hear this. As it reminds me of when my mum was with us back in 1985 and we were just getting over the loss of my both grans that passed away 2 years earlier 1983 and the previous year 1984. Now I have not got my mum now which makes emotional too when I hear this.
It is a fantastic piece of music. It's just before you become a Christian, just by hearing it. It sounds so beautiful. I love it and love it.♥
Beyond beautiful. This makes me want to believe there is a God.
there is god ,always believe so xx
If this is how the choirs angels sing to the lord, i want to go home now😢 praise to you lord jesus christ🙏
