You can with a 4080 / 4090. I played the entire game in VR and there is no words that can even describe it, one of the most immersive and most amazing experience in my entire life, the fact that this game has no loadings + is entirely from your character's perspective combines so perfectly with VR it makes you feel like the game was created entirely for virtual reality. It makes the characters feel so real, you notice all the little details in the architecture of the world and cars, just walking in the city between the huge skyscrappers is like the most immersive thing i've ever experienced. I can't recommend it enough if you have a good PC, it will blow your mind

Bro they will easily top the graphics but the fact is Cyberpunk 2077 city is Very Futuristic and There are many light sources and Neon light present everywhere and their reflections with ray tracing and all the stuff included in Cyberpunk looks too good and even If Gta 6 will top it it won't be impressive as Cyberpunk's city cause Gta 6 city will be based on Real City !
Cause not everybody have rtx 4090 + they have to make it for consoles too

Minecraft with mods has literally been wiping the floor in terms of graphical quality in games. This is mostly just lights, wet roads and shiny reflections. This isn't mostly atmosphere. Wet shiny reflections does not equal good graphics. Although yes this game does look beautiful

@@Andrewtate200 you can do it with a 4070 super as well, mind you all these playthroughs you are seeing has dlss on, my system with a i9 14900k and a 4070 super all settings maxed and path tracing on gets 70-78 fps on average. Looks insane. Graphics cards, the new architectures and optimization has come a long way. We are no longer in the what if stage of tech. Its already happening and you can do these insane graphics today.

@@FcoEnriquePerez Well when I played Starfield, it didn't have DLSS. I haven't played since (because it's so boring) but it could reasonably have the same FPS as Cyberpunk now with DLSS support.
The real problem though is that even if it has same or better FPS, the game looks 10 years behind in terms of graphics so LOL.

I played the first race scene again with Claire last night and it was this exact Moment I took 1000 screenshots my God it was beautiful.
This high hangig Walkway really nailed the difference between my resolution and 5120x1440 and 8k. Almost next step graphics. This walkway almost looks like real.
How can you tell if you do not have a 8k screen?

I wish when people were demoing high-end graphics they wouldn't just drive around aimlessly, but would actually show what combat looks like with the mods and visuals like this. Every video is the same, people cruising the city showing off what it looks like. That's fine, but show us some action, too.

yeah they never play immersively. they play like a 12 y/o with no patience or cinematic eye. always thumbs down these vids for that reason.
And yet they still fail, because they drive to fast and reflections fall off dramatically have a look again how badly that looks when whole street section suddenly change from reflective to dull...
Those settings are good for some immersive gameplay or phot mode but, falling off at car chases or fast paced combats.
even 8k cant hide the oil painting effect ray reconstruction causes when combined with path tracing.

You know what? I wish Sony would turn Wipeout into a narrative-based, open cyberpunk world game like this. It's better than just letting such an amazing IP die off.
Playing cp77 on my ps5 an then seeing this .... its like different game man, ale those light effect on the streets but especially on buildings and walls, all those neon billboards and shit .. oO I would play this game forever just add me a feature of a "regular life NC citizen" like going to work, to restaurant. Why can't I simply ask Panam for a date at a random restaurant and then spend the night with her? Simple stroll or ride through NC itself at night is rewarding enough for me with graphics like that! Looks incredible.

@@magiclightning5239 Highly doubt it, they will continue to use AMD and AMD is behind on RT/PT performance by a fair amount. AMDs latest and greatest card the 7900xtx ( on par with a 4080 ) is literally around the same RT performance as my 3080 which I have had since release of over 3years now. At 3440x1440p I have to use DLSS performance to get around 45fps... That is not playable at all as its super low res and low FPS. Seeing as DLSS is better by a fair margin over FSR ( especially when it comes to balanced mode and below ), it would look even worse on console as they would target 2560x1440p at max for 30fps and if they went 1080p forget about it. AMD also does not have Ray reconstruction which helps massively with artifacts... which also get worse the lower the res ( without reconstruction ) so it would be a blurry, shimmering mess that doesnt run nor look good.
I'll never understand why people buy a PS5, at least in first-world countries. There's literally NO advantage to owning a console. Inferior graphics, extremely limited functionality (only for gaming), a limited game library due to console wars, expensive games, the requirement to pay for a subscription to play online, no modding capabilities, servers that will shut down after two generations, forcing you to buy a new console, and you can't even argue that it's more affordable because you MUST purchase all games, with no option for piracy. And if you have money to buy overpriced games and change the console every generation, you can sure buy a PC that will last at least three or four generations of consoles.
@@darkcy9493 I’ve also been a PC gamer for 30+ years and it’s always been a pain in the ass and always will be. It has its advantages, but consoles work every single time I turn them on, no issue. Every game works. I’m not obsessing over my graphics settings, like I always do on Pc because of some ocd or something.
One thing you can't fault this game for. It perfectly showcases what ray-tracing is. :).
perfectly showcases path tracing. path tracing is true ray tracing. The jump from just normal maxed out ray tracing to path tracing is massive. My best comparison would be going from 1080p to 2k or 60hz to 144hz for the first time, its that big. Makes the game look unreal. and its actually optimized now I can get a stable 70-80 fps on a 14900k and 4070 super. no lag spikes or crashes at all. ofc with dlss. at 2k with path tracing I get 50 fps. tech has come a long long way.

Don't know if it helps, but I find if you tap the accelerator instead of keeping the button held down when turning reduces spin.
Caliburn car and Kusanagi bike are the fastest and have the best handling. The Kusanagi is perfect for Dogtown and the Caliburn perfect for NC.

Why do all these modders think that them driving around in a non-lore vehicle, that is always a supercar/expensive SUV, somehow makes the game look better? This one is especially dumb as the Bugatti looks completley out of place

If the system doesn't release until the rumored 2027/2028-time frame, it is very conceivable that the hardware will have serious RT ability. If not through AMD themselves, I would expect Sony/Cerny to have a bespoke hardware of their own possibly.

PS5 was launched November 2020.
PS5 GPU closest analogy is RTX 2070, which was launched October 2018.
RTX 3070 was launched September 2020.
This means PS5 GPU (and Xbox Series X GPU) was close to previous gen PC GPU in low-mid range.
Assuming next gen consoles will come in 2027/2028, we can interpolate their GPU to be something from low-mid range of previous gen PC GPU. That would be something like RTX 5060-5070.
And now look at pathtracing requirements in cyberpunk. 4080 is entry level GPU for pathtracing. 4090 barely runs it in 1080p in 15-20 FPS.
Pathtracing heavily relies on new DLSS features (upscale + frame generation), and AMD still don't have anything close enough to this.
And now imagine what are the chances that next gen consoles will be able to deliver acceptable framefrate with pathtracing?
I think chances are pretty low
I have 3090, and I can enable only RT reflections in cyberpunk. Other RT features eat too many GPU power and fps goes below 60. I play in 1080 upscaled to 4k.
@@Z3rgatul First of thanks for the reply, and apologies for the long comment to follow, hard to keep thoughts in little words sometimes.
The PS5 GPU certainly was a low-mid range GPU at time of launch. These things always punch above their weight in consoles with a closed spec environment. Well, that is when developers optimize for the hardware.
We can interpolate (make assumptions), but we have little to no idea how powerful hardware will be in 2027/28-time frame, or if Sony is designing something bespoke for themselves, along with AMD. Since we can’t do anything else really, let’s have some fun.
I doubt the hardware in a console for 2027/28 will be using hardware the levels 5060/5070. There would still be 2 years of R&D to go before Sony would need to start producing hardware around the beginning of 2027 if releasing that year longer if they are holding out until 2028, I hope not. Much like the PS5 and Xbox utilized RDNA2, which launched the same month as the consoles, I would surmise the same thing happening 4 years from now. We “could” be seeing PS6 with RDNA 6 or at least features from it.
RT is the new candy, “IF” the rumored PS5 Pro is true, and Sony is doing this to push RT and VR, then I fully expect them to come in hitting hard on RT for 10th generation hardware, and AI upscaling that is hardware based not software only. I anticipate even now Sony is working on RT along with AMD that will be in future versions of AMD hardware, like they did with some aspects of RDNA 2. By the time PS6 is a reality, it will most likely be based on hardware from 9000 possibly 10000 series if we have new hardware launch at a 12-16 month cadence and assuming AMD hits the 2024 launch for RDNA 4.
Not including any architecture efficiencies, and the inclusion of dedicated hardware for RT and image upscaling, I would not be surprised to see mid-level hardware from 2027/28 being considerably faster than 7900XTX, in pure rasterization. If Ada-Lovelace Next is indeed releasing in 2025, that is still 2-3 years before PS6 may hit market in holiday 2027/28. That architecture (Ada Lovelace Next) could see a 2x improvement in performance over 4000 series. I would expect AMD hardware based on RDNA 6 to be more than a step above 5000 series if it is releasing 2-3 years earlier, at worse I would think RDNA 5 would compete with 5000 Series?
I expect hardware in the next generation of consoles to be much faster in RT than a 3090, like possibly several times as fast. I mean we are talking a console with hardware potentially 3 generations newer. I guess we will see, it will be fascinating no doubt. I expect massive RT improvements with 10th gen consoles, if not games with path tracing on the same level as CP2077 now. Just my opinion though….

RTX 2080 - Sep 2018
RTX 3080 - Sep 2020
RTX 4080 - Nov 2022
Interpolating this we will have 6000 series Nvidia GPU in 2026, meaning 5000 series will be prev gen. Like I described.
Or we will have 7000 series in 2028, so they could go with RTX 6600-6700 power.
Console manufacturers are locked by price of hardware. They don't want to sell consoles at a loss (or maybe just small loss), and they don't want to sell consoles at price of gaming PC. PC GPUs becomes more pricey every gen, it will be hard trade-off for console manufacturers in 2027/2028.
And we already have rumors that microsoft may stop care about gxbox and gaming, if they don't start making money in the next years. That means it is pretty risky business. There is no easy money here.
I don't believe in AMD implementing AI upscaling for the next consoles. It took quite some time for nvidia to make DLSS good. And they already had hardware for it. There is no rumors for AMD to switching from FSR to their own AI upscaler. Maybe they could add hardware for it, but there is no way they can polish software part to next gen console launch.

This game has successfully achieved that robot Uncanny valley effect while every cartoonish details totally ruin entire immersion.
this is simply not true if you have played the game. the immersion is top notch even with lower end graphics.
