    Is there a way to smooth the corners/edges in Curves? I think it has something to do with the Spacing?
    If i break the Set Spacing Nodes i can manually set the Spacing to lower Values than my Mesh is but then it is taken for the whole Spline, would it be possible just to have it in Corners?
    If not, it would work with Lower Spacing Numbers already, but then the Textures are also Repeated that often, is there a way to fix that?

      Hmm. The "Tangent Length" determines how much the spline mesh is following the spline. If you increase this number like at 1:42 then your mesh should become smoother. However your actual static mesh has to have enough polygons. If the mesh is only a square with two polygons the smoothest you'll get per mesh is two edges.
      The "spacing" determines how much space one spline mesh should occupy before the next one starts. If you manually set a lower value the mesh will be shrunk along the x-axis. This would result in better smoothness of your mesh (because there are more polygons/length) but if you overdo it it will look ugly.
      In conclusion try to to add some more loops to your street mesh and/or increase the "Tangent Length" value.

    Hey so I am having an issue with the tool and the meshes, I got the tool into ue4, I also got the individual meshes in ue4, I know i don't have textures yet but I can't get it to work. When i place the tool into my scene it does nothing but place a sphere, even when i try to map the meshes to the tool. overall I need a lil bit of help.

    Thanks a bunch, great tool! One thing I'm struggling with however is how to make the spline curves smoother where the meshes meet. any ideas?

      Depends on what you mean. If you mean the single spline meshes on a road:
      There should be this white handles, the bigger they are the smoother the spline will be.
      If you mean the point where a spline mesh is meeting the cross road:
      The only way is to create a intermediate spline-point bevore this point and do it by hand sorry :/

    Hey man, firstly thanks for putting in the work that you didnt have to to create this tool for the persons like myself who donesnt currently have the knowledge to create it ourselves. Question tho. Im using UE4 version 4.17 and the tool doesn't seem to be showing up in the contents folder. Im wondering if this is a random error, or is it because of the version of UE4 that im using, basically can you help me to fix this. Thanks.

      Number15 - Graphics.Animation.Video hi, I heard several similar problems. They are usually solved by a combination of restarting the editor and moving the blueprint file somewhere else by hand (in the file explorer). I hope it helps you.

    Wow awesome tool, I been playing around with it but really solid. But it seems as of 4.18 the add end button does not work anymore. not sure why. All other features work, but unable to add end mesh

      Well that's not good because that's the only feature which distinguish it from the normal terrain spline... kind of. But I am sorry, I can't investigate the issues because UE4.18 doen't build on my AMD system at the moment :(

    Hey this is really awesome but I'm having trouble using your meshes. I imported your blender as .fbx to my project but I don't have any of the meshes I see in your video like EU_Normal_Cross and EU_Normal_Straight all I have is EU_Street_save_plane and EU_street_Save_cube. Please help

      Did you split the meshes? The blend file exists to show you how to build the meshes. Within UE4 you'll have to have one mesh per road segment. For instance one mesh is the cross, one mesh is a straight etc.

      Well, the easiest way is to select one model, go to export->fbx and then tick the checkbox "export selected" or something like that.

      Acka Well, you place the blueprint in your level, add some road meshes if you haven't done this yet. Then you can follow the tutorial.
      if you just want to add a new spline point, select a white spline point, hold "alt" and track the point out. This should create a second one.

    When I click on show landscape szises, I do not get the visual aid of the spline sizes. Is anyone else having this problem?

      Hi,
      you can open the blueprint and have a look at the mesh component of the markers. If you didn't do it already changes are that there is no mesh saved which leads to spawning a "none" mesh.

      I placed a mesh, which is a simple polygonal plane, and it gets all distorted and stretched way out of portions, sometimes causing the editor to crash

      Zeether I am currently selling the textures used in the video on cgtrader.com/siebencorgie . If you need exactly this textures you'll have to buy them there. But I
      I am not able to include them for free.
      However if you need some free ones, have a look at cgtextures they have good road textures as well.

    Hi, thanks for that amazing BP. I have problems with the export the example .blend. In FBX when i import to unreal give the road in a lot of pieces.

      sometimes you have to check "combine meshes" in the importer of the unreal engine (the last of the extend "Mesh" section), otherwise the fbx-file is split in individual pieces.

      It is possible, just select some other static mesh as the road mesh(s).
      However i am not sure if the tool is still working, I don't use unreal anymore for several years now.

    hey is anybody missing the Bluetilites in the details panel? i'm stuck and not sure how else to do cross roads and this pack is too awesome to not use!

      Hi, which version of UE4 are you using? I guess it should be a version >4.9 If its lower, try to update to the newest one. If not, then it should be somewhere in the last/lowest tab within the the blueprint settings. Sometimes you have to unfold the menu.

      hey! no i figured it out. I'm using 4.16 but the bluetilites tab is named "Default" and there is only one button called "Add End" - just found below General settings and above End Mesh tab. it still does the same job i was a bit lost on why mine was not at the bottom.

      Strangey you shouldn't have such problems. I know from Mac and Linux that they sometimes have problems with UE4's UI. But not from Window. May you'll have to submit a bug report on the answer hub.

      Hmm... It's most likely is something to do with my computer then. UE4 does act strange or me quite often, and the boot times are pretty horrendous.

      Vanic Well, I hate it to say, but maybe you'll have to reinstall either UE4 or even Windows... On last resort could be the graphics driver. Is it up to date?

    Why would you go to all the trouble of releasing this and then not allow for forward axis adjustment? It just means you are lazy like all free asset devs.

      Well sorry, it was only a free time project. However, I never thought about it because I never needed it. Feel free to add it (it should be easy I think). But I don't know if the "apply spline to landscape" component can handle this. At least as far as I know the default spline editor for landscape doesn't do it. But I never tested this as well.
      The road tool as component has actually some more problems. Like that you cant just click somewhere to place a spline point at this location. But for a more non-linear workflow I would have to redo some bigger parts of it. Maybe in some weeks, maybe not.
