I agree today's horror isn't even scary, compare Dracula Untold with Bram Stockers Dracula by the master himself Francis Ford Coppola. When the priest vampire has a way more scary presence compared to the main character, then you know that movie will suck hard.
That's because Burton are using sets and are merely using cgi to enhance the effects, and I wish that Stephen Sommers had used full body suits for the Werewolves and Vampires in Van Helsing instead of cgi.

Of course, you can't kill a ghost. "Is he dead?" "That's the problem. He was dead to begin with."
Damn I was hoping they'd show when Ichabod was in bed with total PTSD over what happened because until that moment he thought the Horseman was made up, but then he saw it first hand in a horrific way that it definitely would haunt me! The reason I wished they showed that was how it displayed such good acting on Johnny Depp's part!

In the modern era the headless horseman such an underrated movie monster He can be used to make a great piece of cinema and this film proves it this movie is perhaps one of the best films I’ve seen in my life

The sound effect they used on the heads rolling or bouncing on the ground sounds exactly like the sound a hollowed out pumpkin makes when you hit, drop it etc. I get flashes of this movie every Halloween...

This was the first horror movie that I ever saw and I loved it I love Tim Burton and his movies because they are a bit out there but I myself am a little bit out there so we have something in common and I will wach almost anything that has Johnny Depp in it.
I like how he vehemently denies the existence of the Horseman while earlier in the film he discovered overwhelming evidence that PROVES the existence of the Horseman and even had an ACTUAL encounter with said Horseman whom threw a burning pumpkin at him. The logic is infallible

I’ve actually played Sleepy Hollow as a theater once! Me and my theater group did our own version of Sleepy Hollow! And I played Ichabod Crane!
