i love everything including the old glass and how the ripples are left in where the blower is removed, old glass use to have those.. Burtons attention to detail neber ceases to amaze me. living there would be absolute heaven for me. I'd be the happiest odd duck on earth 🤣
Christopher really fooled me in the movie. As the Hessian, he really looked like he had a special connection with his horse. Like the horse and the rider are one. I never would've thought that riding Daredevil was one of his biggest challenges in the movie. Him riding horses just looked so second-nature! Also, I really admire ALL the hard work of the set designers and editors who put so much effort into making this amazing movie! From the gory, visual effects to the construction of the town. :)
Christopher Walken ROCKS as the HH! Totally awesome that this wonderfully soft spoken guy can sound so terrifying! He looked to me as if he was 'getting into character' as he was dressed up. Watching the make up artists putting his character together was fascinating. Chris looked fantastic! When he's having those contact lenses put in and his 'look' is finished he looks totally hypnotising. (And very handsome I might add) - and wouldn't it be great to have his character as your best mate? Who'd dare to mess with you? NoONE!! LOL :-)
Tim is great visioner! It is shame that in movie industry they don't respect him at all. They should won many awards for his work. The same Johnny! I love them.
I kind of liked the fact that they didn't. This interview felt like some drama and entertainment aspects were put into it as well, and not just for informative purposes. I always liked and respected the retellings of this story where they always kept the Headless Horseman mysterious. No personal background. No name. No face. No dialogue. No one knows who he is. That sort of thing. The more you know about him, the more it feels like his story is a bit squandered. If I really want to know, I'll go to a Ray Park interview. :)
christopher walken and johnny depp together again. 4 years before that movie, christopher walken was the one who obliged depp to kill the governor eleonor grant in the movie "nick of time"!!!
I always wondered how they did the actual head removal of the actor. That's pretty cool. I figured it was digital, obviously, but didn't think about a bluescreen hood. Also, I never noticed the demonic faces in the fire through all the times I've watched this movie-- but I saw them now that they pointed them out. Poor guy, he spends all that time on the faces and then I don't even notice. Sorry, effects guy ;)
katielou the town is not there anymore it was built for filming only but they left the church there the church still stands to this day if you watch the dvd and listen to tim burtons commentary as the film plays in the cemetary scene at Jonathan Masbeths funeral tim says the town is gone but the church is still standing.
hey thanks for uploading this its proved very valuable for a piece of coursework i'm doing about Tim Burton. Would you be able to give me the reference for this please? thanks again x
6:30 I don't know why, but I have this extreme fear of Computer Generated Objects. They just seem extremely creepy to me and I have nightmares about it.
anyone else wondering why the headless horseman's scull has regular teeth when they must have been pointy when he lost his head? seems strange this detail was forgotten or purposly left out of the ecuation...hm...
Why didn't by just come to our town? We've still got the ridge and the original church :3 I still think it would begin to live in the manufactured town. Looks pretty without the hessy ;3
I'd love to see the makeup process that Walken went through to play the bloodthirsty Hessian...not that he needed to go through one to begin with..but still..
hey, the stunt guy at 6:09...i think hes the guy who does toad in x-men. cuz, he is a proffesional stunt man in real life i think. anyone agree with me? (i cant remember his name tho)
It's so sweet how Johnny Depp says he wanted to live a 'Tim Burton' like village. I want to live there as well
I want to live there too
I love the rural setting, the cloudy whether, and the forest
me too. im always sad when i think about them tearing it down 🥺
i love everything including the old glass and how the ripples are left in where the blower is removed, old glass use to have those.. Burtons attention to detail neber ceases to amaze me. living there would be absolute heaven for me. I'd be the happiest odd duck on earth 🤣
I'd like to live in such a village too! Woodwork! Costumes! Natural beauty of everything! And johnny depp...
That horse contraption is just too cool. I'm always amazed at how much detail goes into making a period movie.
Tim Burton is my fav director , & Johnny Deep is my fav actor! Love their movies!!
Honestly I’m in love with this movie and it’s super cool to learn about how it was made.
Me too.
I agree!
Sleepy Hollow is an awesome movie, i love all the effects, i never noticed the faces in the fire...
Christopher really fooled me in the movie. As the Hessian, he really looked like he had a special connection with his horse. Like the horse and the rider are one. Mr. Tim Burton, master of gothic movies.
I love the Horseman, he looks positively medieval.

I'll say. Those eyes. It's like he's quasi-vampiric without being an actual vampire. No wonder I can't resist him. He's so badass.
gabriela peina
I agree completely!!😂😍
Yo tenia fantasías con ese mendigo personaje!!
Great production and brilliant performances. I love Tim Burton's movies
So much work went into making this film look beautiful. It's a visual masterpiece in my opinion.
I love this movie ! Johnny is beautiful... and soooo funny !
omg, that horse looks frickin real o_0
btw, love Johnny, best actor ever
walken absolutely owned the headless horseman character
Johnny Depp's face Aftr he said
'I wanted to live ther' was so sexy
I LOV IT XD
"A stunt person"... ya'll know that's Darth Maul!
I agree with Johnny, I want to live there!
I can't believe the village was physically real, we've got so used to CGI backgrounds.
Tim is great visioner! It is shame that in movie industry they don't respect him at all. They should won many awards for his work.
The same Johnny!
I love them.
Christopher walken! a genius enough said
I can so see Johnny Depp living there :)
I like some of the Tim Burton films, especially this one. It looks really cool!
I saw this movie 2day, i was scared shitless!
Tim Burtons Cinema, it was its final day of showing
6:07 Hello Ray Park!
8:41, Christina Ricci said "I believe I can fly" and her skirt goes ALL the way up. This movie is awesome, love seeing how it was all put together.
Ha Ha... Johnny Depp wants to live in a Tim Burton village.
6:06 RAY PARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY LOVE!!!!!!!!!
Christopher Walken is SO beautiful!
what makes Burton great is he indulges in every resource he is given to give the best experience. Now in 2011 its too much CGI and green screen
My eyes water when he puts the contacts in.
3:52 i love the way Miranda Richardson smiles!!
I don't understand why they didn't interview Ray Park he is good actor and martial artist and also Walken's double in this movie...
I kind of liked the fact that they didn't. This interview felt like some drama and entertainment aspects were put into it as well, and not just for informative purposes.

If I really want to know, I'll go to a Ray Park interview. :)
Whooooo, Michael Gough!! He's a brill actor, especially in Batman :D
Christopher Walken's new eyes look completely awesome :O:O
christopher walken and johnny depp together again.
4 years before that movie, christopher walken was the one who obliged depp to kill the governor eleonor grant in the movie "nick of time"!!!
I saw this on my old dvd and loved the fact Chris Walken has never had much experience is horse riding XD
Behind The Scene in Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow (1999)
I actually wanted to live in that village too...and wear Ichabods clothes
Love the post, and all good luck to Depp,
I always wondered how they did the actual head removal of the actor. That's pretty cool. I figured it was digital, obviously, but didn't think about a bluescreen hood.

you took the words right out of my mouth...
Somewhere up in Heaven, Walt Disney be like "Why didn't I think of that?"
Dumbledore, Alfred, Tarrant Hightop and Mr Turnblad...wow
Also Emperor Palpatine, Darth Maul, and Count Dooku
That moment when Darth Maul is the Headless Horseman...
Because Ray Park was Christopher Walken's stunt double to play the Horseman of the killings and fighting sequences.
*Christopher Walken getting fitted with creepy super blue contacts*
_I look like Paul Newman._
This fucking killed me 😂😂 god bless Paul up in heaven
I'm just going to ask what everyone is thinking: Is where they filmed Sleepy Hollow still there?!
katielou the town is not there anymore it was built for filming only but they left the church there the church still stands to this day if you watch the dvd and listen to tim burtons commentary as the film plays in the cemetary scene at Jonathan Masbeths funeral tim says the town is gone but the church is still standing.
Man, too bad they destroyed it. That could've been an awesome tourist attraction. I'd definitely want to come see it.
Headless horseman was a good role for Walken.
Park was also Toad in X-men 1
This movie is so gruesome, but it's cool at the same time!
06:08 This is Ray Park who also played Darth Maul in Episode 1
It just like Van Hellsing 2004, the director went in search of the village that appears in the film and it was built further like in the film.
those contacts lenses look painful man!!! haha but it payed of..the horseman was veryy scary!
cooollll!!! good time I found this part of Sleepy hollow´s making of. I had to conform with part 1 only. Thanks a lot to Chocobharata.!!
I´m afraid none of us actually noticed it... it was so quick!
hey thanks for uploading this its proved very valuable for a piece of coursework i'm doing about Tim Burton. Would you be able to give me the reference for this please? thanks again
x
Christopher Walken kicked ass as the horseman, he just needed a little more cowbell 😏😏
My favorite movie
I want the sword of the headless horseman
The horse by the way? It is Andalusian right?
I actually has play Sleepy Hollow as a theater once! Me and my group made our own version of this story! And I was playing Ichabod Crane!
6:30 I don't know why, but I have this extreme fear of Computer Generated Objects. They just seem extremely creepy to me and I have nightmares about it.
Unbelievable Work
i want to ride Daredevil!
i've been riding for over 19 years now!
Tim Burton would take any chance to splatter Johnny with blood with both hands
Does anybody know where I can find a picture of the faces in the fire for a background? It's perfect for Halloween and I LOVE that bit =]
Miranda Richatsen is a very beautyfull lady
anyone else wondering why the headless horseman's scull has regular teeth when they must have been pointy when he lost his head? seems strange this detail was forgotten or purposly left out of the ecuation...hm...
Maleficent's Apprentice Ooh, nice find!
Maleficent's Apprentice
Didn't notice until now!😂
@equinechick569 is it this film or a different one, i never remembered the hessian in it
@AdamR702 I know I love the fact that he wants to keep stop motion alive. I've always loved stop motion and that's one reason why I love Tim Burton
I would have nightmares for weeks if I was in this movie
i want my house to be Tim Burton like. :D
2021?
Why didn't by just come to our town? We've still got the ridge and the original church :3 I still think it would begin to live in the manufactured town. Looks pretty without the hessy ;3
Ive got to see this movie!
This Music is from Congo by Jerry Goldsmith 8:20-9:16
It's very creepy how real this fake horse looks
Is Optimus Prime narrating this!? XD
Very Nice.
This is freaking sick.!!!
u can click the print screen button and then paste it in paint and save it as an image
Johnny will look like Christopher Walker when he gets old....
vdnkvndsk00
Well. Looks like walkin will have a twin...
What do you mean ‘when he gets old’?
4:15 Dumbledore
4:15
5:33 oh cool a boom mike
I wonder if the village is still up...FIELD TRIP! :3
And that headless actor was Darth Maul…how could they not mention Ray Park???!!!
Christina how do you do ma'am?
What the… why are they stealing the music from Clear and Present Danger? 3:22
yeah... always close to Katrina (Chris Ricci´s performance)
@GurdyrootInfusion and Johnny Depp doesnt hurt the visuals either ;) lol
Esse filme é bom 😁
movies were so much better without all the cgi crap. this movie rocks.
They built all of that? Goddamn...
only legends know that johnny depp is in this movie
i would live in sleepy hollow, ahah
There's a good cast, Michael Gambon Iain McDiarmid and Miranda Richardson are all Brritish legends.
I'd love to see the makeup process that Walken went through to play the bloodthirsty Hessian...not that he needed to go through one to begin with..but still..
Nathan Forester
U r not alone in this!😊😍
Christina has a pretty laugh
Wow
HOLY SHIT!!!!!!! its Gambon 4:23
hey, the stunt guy at 6:09...i think hes the guy who does toad in x-men. cuz, he is a proffesional stunt man in real life i think. anyone agree with me? (i cant remember his name tho)
