Did symphonic have a legacy option like Distrokid?
I signed up but there's that Label Name field and below it says" Name that will be sent when we distribute your music to stores."
I already sent a request so they can explain what that means but they'll be open in January. in short: There are 2 fields - the Artist name and Label Name. So if my name is A and Record Label Z than means stores will be using both names or only the Label Name (the example would be "Z")?.
im partnered wirth symphonic since like 10 years and never had any problems at all, they will change things for you even on release day and so on

I use Symphonic and OneRpm, but my Symphonic plan is different, it was when they first started. You had pay $20 to join. Then there's a fixed price per release depending on how many songs there are: Single (1-2 songs), EP (3-5 , something like that, not sure) and full album (more than 8, up to 12, not sure). But it was 20 bucks to join and a fixed price per release, you keep 100%.

They got our artist J.R.Clark playlisted on Apple editorial twice but it is a hassle

I have used symphonic, amuse, United masters & distrokid and I personally feel like symphonic is superior to other distributors to me. Fast customer services, release approve for stores are much faster… I talk to their marketing team on a budget for using their marketing services.. & they have a lot of local offices in United States that you as symphonic artist can go and visit.. i personally use both symphonic and distrokid still. I got with accepted by symphonic when Tully ( Joyner Lucas) was doing vip distribution deal through symphonic if you got accepted

On deck. I'm assuming the issue here is the US tax treaty that takes 30% from non-US artists?
@@Payusnomind yes they do also do all distribution platforms minus the 30% tax, which ones are the best for an Artist in Africa. How is the money paid out.? 🙏 Thank you

@@Starrysofficial Bit late for reply on this I know, but you should be able to declare on the Tax form in your distributor that you are a non US resident, that will stop them taking the 30% away. You may need to provide your tax number in your own country to do this.
