Your reactions and analysis of this arc, and Togashi becoming healthy enough to sit and draw again so he can continue the manga, are gifts from God to us HxH fans 🙂
@@kusut Yeah, I agree. He's intelligent enough to easily keep track of the plot and the characters in the current arc. There aren't many people I can confidently say that about.
@@alanklm The current arc of the manga is probably some of his best writing with some amazing potential, depending on how it goes a lot of people think it could surpass Chimera Ant as the best arc. It's just overall really good stuff. We've been living in fear that we'll never get to see it finished but over the last few years and this year specifically Togashi has been making a lot of progress on it, and the current batch of chapters has been amazing so far.

I really like when the narrator says some of the things the characters have thought of, but then the characters say somethings themselves. I feel it makes their thoughts more pronounced because it's a way of selecting which thoughts they voice. The show lets them say the things most important to them while letting the narrator cover more of the stuff that is a flash in their minds. The things they aren't really consciously thinking about.
"Even those who broke in to assassinate the king stood in place, breath catching in their throats at the sight before them, a girl covered in blood, and a horror creature, who, despite his appearance, held her body was clearly treating her with tenderness and kind". This scene always gives me goosebumps. A masterpiece.
Breathtaking, beautiful episode. Love that you highlighted Meruem and Pitou's interaction in the discussion, that's one of my favorite moments as well. A+ character analysis, as usual haha.
Almost looked like she broke the sound barrier is good, Pitou covered such a huge distance in an instant there, she must've been actually well beyond even baseline Hypersonic speed XD...
Great analysis. I think it's a pity you didn't watch these 2 at the same time, because I feel like you were more hyped for the previous episode, it's just a mood thing really that one cannot control. That's why I don't like to just quit episodes when they are at the peak, I need to binge watch these special ones one after another because I know that if I just go to sleep (if watching at night) and continue some other day then the hype won't be as big. It simply cannot be, once you are in the mood you are in the mood. That's why binge watching episodes is great. I understand, however, that you cannot do that because you are also recording a reaction. So that's a bit unfortunate in some of the episodes like this one where I feel like it was just as good as the previous one and you would have been much more hyped had you continued right after the previous one. Either way, good stuff :)
The fact that Killua knows that Dragon Dive is Grandpa's power could be one of the inconsistencies of hxh, since since Killua learns about Nen he does not separate from Gon or get together with Grandpa. Cool that you noticed something there.
It’s not really an inconsistency and Im clocked the most likely explanation right away. Killua never saw Dragon Drive but he heard about it from his family members.
Nah, I do think it’s a plot hole. Another one for me is that Kalluto was taught nen at earlier age than Killua who supposed to be the next head family. Doesn’t make sense.
@@Ria1D13 That makes sense because Killua was rebellious at the time. If the Zoldyck family taught Killua, who was already considered a prodigy before learning nen, how to use it before they broke his habit of running away he’d be much harder to get back. He already slashed his mother’s face, injured Milluki and got as far as making his way the hunter exam before learning nen. They were most likely going to train Killua at a younger age but decided to wait because of his outbursts. Kalluto didn’t need the same treatment since he didn’t have any of Killua’s behavioural issues and was easier to control. Also Killua learning about nen means he’s more likely to discover the needle.
@@goofinger4907 good explanation. I read the manga about a decade ago when kalluto’s using nen with the phantom troupe and my reaction was “huh? Why’s Kalluto seem more advanced than Killua?”. Then the narrative that Killua is a prodigy even among zoldyck became weird. I love hunter x hunter, one of my ultimate anime, but few “inconsistencies” about Killua’s nen education is my only complaint. But I can accept your explanation, thanks
When Gon and Killua met Knuckle for the first time, they get intimidated like the would face a “giant”. When Knuckles see and punch Youpi for the first time, he gets intimidated and also gets a very similar panel/shot.
I like that Knuckle's point of comparison in terms of aura capacity is Morel, meaning that among the people Knuckle has fought against Morel is confirmed to be in the top in that aspect...so cool ^^ thinking that he was only at 35% of his capacities is still crazy I agree about Killua knowing about the Dragon Dive : I never thought it was a plot hole, it was established that Killua heard a lot of stories from Illumi and Zeno and probably other family members or butlers, and he said earlier to Gon that Zeno infiltrated the country in the past, he got a lot of info about East Gorteau from 'his brother' as well... I assume Zeno using that 'giant bird' to dive somewhere is definitely not a first and Killua knew about super powers before learning nen : he himself could modify his body, use rhythm echo etc so even without nen 'special powers' are smth he knows about and that's probably why he never suspected the existence of nen before and probably assumed there were just 'regular' powers he just didn't know anything about yet I think Killua being kept in the dark about nen was purposeful to guide his growth as the future head of the family, but it doesn't mean he knew nothing about powers, he just didn't know it was nen About Pitou's tears I think that being in contact with the King's aura was the reason why she understood him completely in that instant, how much Komugi means to him and how he would feel if he lost her, so she probably felt his feelings like her own bc she is inclined to empathize with him in the first place of course like it was shown in previous scenes Pouf kicking and punching those falling rocks that are in his way is so cool! I always wonder how the story would have turned if Pouf went to Komugi's room first and felt that aura... Love the Shoot moment and that Morel was mistaken about his train of thoughts and was pleasantly surprised by his reaction I feel proud too ^^
if Pouf found him first, he would have to summon Pitou to heal Komugi anyway. Meruem would still be frozen in place unless/until he thinks of a solution to heal Komugi before she lost all the blood and dies. Priority ! Pouf would have to comply, but if he went in there and saw that distraught aura he would understands the King's true feelings, and consequently Pouf might shift his trajectory. The understanding will probably saves himself from all the anguish. Would always be nice for Pouf, or any of the 3 guards to be there and witness such a raw and transparency of Meruem's feelings.
I love how both Dragon Ball Z and Hunter x Hunter have this 1 super stretched fight against main foe. They so similar yet completely different. In DBZ lot of it is filler, in HxH every second counts.
Interesting choice for a thumbnail! Didn't expect this two shots. 112 continues the peak and as legendary as 111! And regarding Killua, Dragon Dive and what non-Nen users can see: ordinary people can see conjured things like Kurapika's chains or Kastro's doppelganger. However they can't see transmuted things like Hisoka's Bungee Gum (unless aura is transmuted into some natural element like Killua's Lightning then I believe it's visible). Zeno's Dragon Dive should be a combination of Emission and Transmutation, so probably, can't be seen by non-Nen users. Honestly, this may be one of the weakest points in all of HxH. People go to the Heaven's Arena to watch fights with invisible powers? But also if you're a Nen user you can see it on a TV replay?? Really weird IMO
About the TV replay, if you refer to the Hisoka vs Castro fight, that was only possible because it was videotaped with a Nen user ability, as Wing said. But about the Heaven's Arena, many fights are made by non-nen users, but only the top floors are likely using the most advanced techniques (nen focused fights) as Silva suggested Killua on his first time there, to not go to the higher floors. And for some of the nen fights even the announcer describres things in surprise not knowing what happened, like Gon being dragged to Hisoka's fist , or Hisoka mending his arm after being chopped, so they probably think some special abilities exist but probably no one figured how / why.
I believe Netero said before "dont think i can do this without sacrificing someone", so, i mean, he could mean possible people in the palace too, no? Makes sense...sort of? No?
Well, the moment that he was thinking about that , was even before the king was born, when they were expecting they had more time still, picking off groups of ants inside Knov's Nen rooms, and all the ants were residing on the nest. Since they were all surprised that the king was born so suddenly, It is rather unlikely he was expecting that scenario , invading a populated area to kill the kings / royal guards and sacrifice civilians.
