Just want to talk about the band member that rarely gets his due....drummer, Christophe Schneider. He is as reliable as he is relentless, and a true showman! He plays a custom DW Jazz Series kit w mixed cymbals, creating a unique Rammstein sound!
I love Schneider, he always looks so happy to be on stage doing his thing so seeing him able to show off here always makes me smile
@@tigerlily8447 He's a super nice guy too...I met him thru a program at University of CA that let you email buddy with someone wanting to work on their English skills...a year later I found out he was in a band and I was a gig handler (like assistant to tour manager, on venue site) on their 1st 3 N. American tours!
Schneider is awesome and a great musician. The first instrument he played was the French horn, a very hard instrument to play, then he learned percussion. Dude doesn’t get enough respect 😂
Rammstein’s keyboardist Christian “Flake”Lorenz.. is known for the unusual dance he would do when Weißes Fleisch was performed live. Also, there are unofficial recorded lives of this song, where it is extended with instrumentals and it lasts almost 9 minutes. It was played like this only at the beginning of 1996.

I love this song. Story!! What Flake is doing is the "Drunken Flake Dance". In the very early days of Rammstein, Flake got drunk before the show, as he thought the band was "silly". During this song one night, he jumped down drunk as hell and started doing this goofy dance, the crowd went nuts, and the rest is history. **From the authorized biography written by the band; "Rammstein" 2001.
Rammstein is one of my favorite bands of all time. I got their first album by accident in the 90s doing one 12 CDs for a penny sign ups and it was sent to me by the company.
We will join you..of course! It brings me always joy listening to them! ..honestly, i never had a "band" i realy, realy liked..i listened to everything, but..there was always missing something..i guess to "americanized".. i was listening on these early times, because i was borned in Germany, came to Portugal, but had a connection/bond to Germany.. yeah..them..i like them! For everything!

The term "white flesh" represents the purity of the victim and the "black blood" of the perpetrator represents depravity.
The song gained inglorious notoriety when the Columbine High School massacre occurred. The two perpetrators listened to Rammstein and also this song. The colors white and black from the song lyrics, fit well into racist thinking. American politicians quickly found someone to point the finger at in order to divert attention from their own responsibility. Music has always been a welcome cause.
Because of the accusations, Rammstein made a statement.
[On Friday, the band expressed its condolences
through a statement, which insisted the members "have no lyrical content or political beliefs that could have possibly influenced such behavior."
The statement continued, "Members of Rammstein have children of their own, in whom they continually strive to instill healthy and non-violent values."]
Could you please react to Oomph - Labyrinth ? Another great german band, and for the little story, they are the ones who inspired Rammstein.
I personally would have recommended this one live at A Big Day out festival in 2001.

In response, the band issued this statement:
“The members of Rammstein express their condolences and sympathy to all affected by the recent tragic events in Denver. They wish to make it clear that they have no lyrical content or political beliefs that could have possibly influenced such behavior. Additionally, members of Rammstein have children of their own, in whom they continually strive to instill healthy and non-violent values.”
Weißes Fleisch is about assault and rape. Till Lindemann once said in an interview that he received a letter from a girl who was raped thanking him for making the song.
"'She wrote that she could identify with the song, that was also in the index for a short while. I spoke about rape while she couldn’t. She had grown up with the idea that she had to keep that period from her youth a secret, and couldn’t tell anyone. Through my song, she understood she could talk about it. She was so grateful I had written that song. I still don’t understand what people get so excited about.'"
