Hello dear. That was a beautiful reaction. The song is so powerful in it's way. To me the lyrics are about a sad father singing to his maturing daughter, getting ready to leave the parents home. The boat symbolises the home the rough sea the world. To me the line that reveals the protagonists in the lyrics is:" they just talked about your mother" The song has allegories from the old song by Lilie Marlen. So beautifully song by Till. he started his singing career only at 30 or 31 years old, I can understand that he does not consider himself a singer, he has the humility to recognize that he had no training to be one, nor wanted to be , it was a rough diamond that did not even require to be cut, but just a little polished. if richard hadn't insisted, he simply wouldn't have become a singer. POV : his shy nature was better suited to hiding behind bass drums or behind a pen and a notebook to write poems than behind a microphone, to the point that he had to add pyrotechnics to accommodate it.

Hello Pandora I love your presentations with the subsequent making of`s. I find this kind of presentation excellent to understand the whole work of art more comprehensively. The many background stories and motives, interviews and intensions. I don't think any other video fits this better than "mein Teil". From experience I know that exactly this video meets with a lot of disturbance and lack of understanding. Therefore my tip. 1. inform yourself about Armin Meiwes at Wiki. 2. show the official video. 3. the making of. I promise you that not only you will be thrilled how a theme becomes a song and finally a video. An absolute masterpiece.

Just search for "Seemann (live Lichtspielhaus)" and in this old concert from 2009 you will see and hear how emotional it is, it truly touches your heart ❤ It is not a common thing to see people ceying on Rammstein concert... Till is a real poet and you can feel it with his every word sang ☺️ Have a nice day! 😊

The song is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to overanalyzed. There is NO deeper meaning. German speaking people will understand it.
Definitely the stupidest and most ridiculous video of Rammstein and the hairstyle does the rest. The video that even Rammstein regrets having done. The best, in principle the only good thing, is the woman. 😁 Nina Hagen covered the song and made a much better video.
