why is the 10'6 MH triumph rod so damn beefy i wanted to pair it with the shimano ultergra xsc 5500 but it dosent look right on the rod it sits to close to the blank
I know what you mean...i surf fish on long island and trying to cast poppers, diamond jigs, bucktails with MH rod SUCKS...

the mojo is like $60 more but to me not that much different..just looks prettier i guess.
for the price compared to higher end and custom rods they far exceed there price point.
As my back up and get up n go i have the 8ft triumph surf that lives in the trunk of my car 24/7
for when i hit the back bays and long island sound
I want the 10 ft travel rod because i want it to fit in my case. It would be really helpful if you stated the length of the travel case so i would know if it fits in my case. Any info on the 10 ft travel case length ?
I never have seen a rod that uses a click mechanism so when you cast a two piece rod for example, it won't make the other piece fly out. Somebody should make them.
That's a good idea. Okuma Nomad sections fit together great and I've never had the trouble. But the Okuma rods are way! to stiff for the designation.
Well that seemed like an interesting conversation especially since I'm searching for buying a few travel surf rods. To bad you didn't show us all the video! ?? Why stop it mid sentence? If I were St.Croix I'd never do another with you.
