Do You think the case is secure enough for a wilderness backpacking trip shoved inside the bag?

We go on memorial weekend in the same river and get out at Karthus.

It’s a great stretch of river. You should try the section from Karthaus to Keating.

David Kile We might be doing that this year depending on the weather. I just don’t like the rapids after rolling stone , flipped 4 years ago in the rapids and we got some damage done to us.

All depends on what you wanted to do. But yes this rod could handle back water Florida Keys fishing.

Yes I did, I’d call it light inshore saltwater.
