Yes, It is almost like he is a clone of his father now. Almost creepy. But funny to. He has the same burning interest and enthusiasm for nature as his dad, but have perhaps inherited a bit of his mothers common sense. He seems a bit more controlled. But the he goes and does something completely classic Steve Irving. As time goes, I think he may become even more knowledgeable, and better than his father. Even if that seems impossible, he is well on his way to become his equal.
Hes a 1 to 1 copy of his Father :) even the movments he does.. its so strange.. :)

its so interesting how as they get older robert becomes more the “face” of the zoo, he really seems to be at ease in front of the cameras and loves engaging and teaching people. while bindi seems to be a more behind the scenes type of person, really taking the reins of running the zoo. the whole family is a well oiled machine and i cant wait to see all the amazing things they’ll do in the future. steve is proud, no doubt about that.

Seeing Steve's kids take his torch and run with it makes me happy. He's missed by millions to this day.
But also, they are their own people and bring a new style to the zoo. Great young talents!

i would go as far as say billions - Steve was an global treasure. I know people from almost every corner of the world and they all love and respect Steve Irwin.
Been donating $10 a year to Australia Zoo since I was 9 years old, I was so inspired by Steve. I'm 33 now, and a veterinary technician because of him. Love from America

It is an unusual father indeed that names his first born baby girl after his favorite Croc! But the legendary Steve Irwin and the Irwin family carries on a most wonderful and much needed legacy of caring for the animals and assisting humanity to return to connection with nature. Thank you Robert, you are a smart funny and wonderfully talented (chip off the old block) young wildlife warrior, photographer, educator and Uncle ~

It's wonderful that crocodiles live so long, it's kind of touching that they're still around after being with this family for so long and through so much ♡
I'm looking forward to their old age videos. They will start showing up in about 20 years.
I can't imagine the size of Steve's smile his soul is feeling.
Did anyone else start to tear up when they saw Steve or is it just me? 😢 He was such a big part of my childhood.
All of the crocs mentioned here I remember from watching Steve as a kid! I remember Charlie's incredible rescue and how utterly heartbreaking his prison cell of an enclosure was, (I think he was always my fav croc for some reason), I remember the episode "Graham's Revenge", Monty, Murray, all of these crocs!
If I EVER get to travel and visit Australia, this zoo is NUMBER 1 on places to see and experience!

It’s amazing seeing him talk about the crocodiles and then they show clips of back when his dad would feed them. It’s all come full circle.
Your dad was a legend. Not just for what he did for animal conservation. When I was a young lad. But for painting a extraordinary path for his family even tho he's not with you now. What a guy! Looks like you and your sis will live up to his name.

Why am I still getting so emotional watching the Irwin family….. am I the only one? I’m crying just writing this post.I’m a 90’s baby, and loved watching the crocodile hunter. I do not know why it is so hard for me to watch them…especially Bindi….Sorry if I made anyone sad, love you guys and will continue to watch the show🙏🏻🙏🏻

Me too! Every episode of Crikey it’s the Irwin’s I cry! I miss Steve soooo much and watching his family carry on his life’s work is amazing! Steve is up there beaming with pride!
@@Mrsjam96 Thank you for writing that lovely message, it’s like my generation grew up all of a sudden and forgot about him. When we were kids, everyone around me was pretending they could wrestle a crocodile. Everyone practiced his accent crouching into any space whether it was a basement or a forest. I guess that’s why I feel so alone about how I feel, everyone’s just like he’s gone get over it. He helped me a lot in my childhood, especially as the “weird kid” who loves animals

My goal at this late stage of my life is to once again visit The Australia Zoo. I absolutely will work towards this goal. I’ve been quite ill recently and when I’m better, this is what I will do ❤️

I have always wanted to go but living in Florida, well its a bit far to say the least. Plus, going by myself really isnt much fun. I hope you get better soon and are able to go. Let me know if you want company on the trip. 😉

I have such a crush on Robert... I hope he and all the team stay safe. It only takes one small, freak thing to go wrong... That aside, I'm very glad they're continuing such important work. There's something very noble in educating people about the creatures we share this world with. Thanks for all your work, everyone! You doubtless make Steve proud!

Robert is such a natural and truly just like his dad. Amazing on camera and has the positive attitude his dad had
Gosh, he even sounds like his dad. And I'm not just talking about the Aussey accent. His pitch & tone is almost exactly like his father's now. It's great to see him taking after his father's legacy and it's even more amazing to see him truly enjoying it. For a while I was worried that he might have been pressured to walk in his father's shoes for the sake of the community, but it seems like he naturally took on this role by himself.

Their mom has done an amazing job raising Robert and Bindi. This young man has grown up and is carrying on his dad's legacy.
It's just amazing he is literally a carbon copy of his Father, although he was too young to ever know him, or have memories of him, his passion and swagger is so like Steve. Amazing family.

I wanted to tear up. I still remember how shocked I was when Steve Irwin passed away back when I was in middle school. We would always watch his videos Im school.

Remembering that time Steve said something like “everyone told me it was impossible, that I would never get the crocodiles to move here on command, that the crocodiles wouldn't come into this place of their own free will.… look, we've done it!" And then he started laughing like the "crazy" Steve that we all saw and admired. It makes me very happy to see Robert carry out what Steve started, especially in the crocodile area.
An incredible family, with an incredible history, an incredible heart and incredible future plans and projects for the planet and the animals.
Imagine if Robert had a son it would be pretty call if he named him Steve after is father

I’ve got such wonderful memories of Australia zoo with some great photos of your dad performing in early 2000s. Lovely to see his legacy lives on 💖
So many years on and his dad is still missed by millions. I remember doing a road trip many many years ago up to QLD and stopped by Australia Zoo. I remember seeing Rob and Bindi as kids. This must have been shortly after Steve had passed. The kids were so small and cute. I drove from Sydney, up through far north QLD all the way to cairnes and port Douglas, but Australia Zoo was one the highlights of the trip. I'm so happy to see the family and the zoo are still going strong.
I do remember all of that . Missed your dad . But I know he is sooo proud of you all

He could spend all day talking about the crocs and I could spend all day watching it. Your dad was and still is the best person to introduced people to reptiles and I love watching your family follow and produce your father's vision.

Like most the early 90s kids that grew up across the world on the crocodile hunter and see Steve Irwin. Seeing roberts enthusiasm about crocs and wildlife shows how much Steve is in him. I’m from America and one day I will go to Australian zoo

Robert if you ever see this, Steve would be extremely proud of you. You are a genuine person and I love that you are providing the joy our generation got watching your father go out into the wild like a super hero and show not only the incredibleness of the wild but of the human and our capabilities for generosity as well. You always hear about people dying to animals due to doing something stupid out of a lack of respect for wild animals, but your dad was not only adventurous but he wasn't mindlessly so. He showed a proper amount of respect for the animals, stayed at a safe distance even if it cost him views because he knew his life was worth more than TV ratings (which we all made sure he got plenty of I mean he's Steve fricken Irwin, the guy is a justified legend!). His death wasn't caused by his own foolishness as he knew what he was doing and never forgot it, his death was truly a tragedy and it has hurt us all but you more than any of us can imagine. You have done an excellent job continuing your fathers legacy, all the best man!
Steve has been a big influence on my life since I don't know, 94 or 95. I have Monty tattooed on my arm with Steve's birth date and passing date. He's still a huge influence on my life till this day and one of few bucket list things to do is visit Australia zoo. Love you guys

Before Steve passed away, he was an expert- wildlife environmentalist active from 1991-2006 that’s16 straight years of animal study and experience he’s had dealing with wildlife. Robert was born in 2003, and he’s 17years today, he doesn’t have as much experience in this field for anyone to boldly say he’s already better than his father, it’s ridiculous to even mention. Robert still has a lot of time to develop his craft and skill set to be his own man, by carrying on the tradition and legacy his father left behind, in which the Irwin family is proudly doing. this is not a competition and (I’m pretty sure Robert doesn’t want to be better than his father but to keep his legacy alive.)

Why was Bindi Steve's favorite crocodile? I have a vague memory of back when Bindi Sue was born, Steve talking about Bindi the croc being aggressive or something like that, and that's why Bindi the crocodile was his favorite. And that's why he named his daughter after her. But it's a vague memory, so I don't know if that is accurate at all. Does anyone know why Bindi was Steve's favorite crocodile, so much that he named his daughter after her?

I grow up by watching his late father's all documentary about crocodile and his skills handling these monster since I was 7 in 2005 . It's good to see now his son follow up his passionate into crocodile

I haven't watched any of your videos before - seen you at the zoo but not watched a video with you presenting. I am so proud of you! You are a complete natural, and immediately likeable. I know your Dad would feel that even more. Makes me glad to be an Aussie. I also love how you guys have kept your Dad alive in the zoo in your presentations and commentary, and through the clips in your videos. I have always loved zoos.
