We all know Steve is watching from above. I believe he got to hold his granddaughter before she was born. When I hear Robert's voice, he sounds so much like his dad. The love and expertise Robert has for animals is incredible both him and Bindi. Steve did an excellent job in teaching them about animals when they were babies. Their mom is a superhero for wanting to continue Steve's legacy
This made me cry too.i remember when both robert and bindi were young.how cute they were.he IS very proud of both of them Terri had done a great job raising them.goid job Terri happy birthday Robert.
This only happens when a son truly admires his father. He knows he must earn his approval, because his grandfather never gave it away for free either. The makings of a great man.
His kids need to start leaping on crocs and grabbing snakes by the tip of their tales. So disappointed they aren’t adrenaline junkies like their father. Now it’s just a rehashing of his legacy.
We can’t blame an animal for wanting to defend itself. Steve didn’t mean harm towards it, but it was still spooked. If anything, it made many people more aware of just how dangerous a job Steve had. Anything can go wrong and even experts get hurt.
@@AFarmerCalledChicken Any animals in the wild are always unpredictable and potentially dangerous. Steve's tragic situation is evident of how this can and does happen. Sad but true. Wildlife is beautiful but again extremely dangerous when they get spooked as you said. It sucks but it happens.

@@AlexJones-j7uit's a shame Steve Irwin's dad treated his children so badly. Well according to Bindi her grandfather SteveIrwin's Dad never had anything nice to say to her. According to an article I read on Google. Sometimes love can't be forced upon people. I couldn't be forced to love my uncle on my dad's side of the family who I met when I was just 10 years old. You don't have to like someone because he's family. Sometimes a bond between a grandchild and his or her grandfather or grandmother happens naturally and sometimes it doesn't. I'm not affected in any way cause I'm not related. I really like Terri Irwin and her children. I have nothing bad to say about Steve Irwin's dad. It is what is. Doesn't matter who's right or not. At the end of the day people will take sides like they always do with whatever subject is being discussed.
Steve saying after Robert's birth "This is why I was put here, I could be dead tomorrow" is another reminder that life is so fragile and often taken for granted. Live everyday like it's your last day.
There are alot of video clips that steve almost apears to be leaving messages for his kids its realy weird either he was preparing for the fact that his job is super dangerous or its all coincidental either way when i see em i cry because as a fatger if i die i could only hope my daighter would turn out so amazing
Rob was only 2 when his dad died. Growing up without a father, in the shadow of a man who was so beloved by most of the World. It's not fair. But humans adapt and overcome. Look at Rob now, following in his father's footsteps. Showing the World how important it is that we stay connected with the other animals among us. Really great video
It’s such a shame Steve kept doing dangerous acts despite having two young kids. It’s so hard to have sympathy for someone who goes into a wild animal’s home and then is surprised when it defends itself. He should’ve been there more for his kids, they needed him more than the animals did.
The fact that she kept everything going, the zoo, her family, their mission. It's beautiful. If it's possible to look on our loved ones after death, I'm sure Steve is so proud of them all.
Robert is a perfect example of carrying a legacy. All because Steve has passed away doesn’t mean he’s gone and that’s thanks to his family. Robert’s carrying the torch now and doing a damn well job at it ❤️

Both children are happy to follow in their dads footsteps because you taught them how important it is. Bravo! Happy birthday Robert! Thank you for doing what you do!
Totally agree. I’m sure like all teenagers, there would have been many challenges and frustrations that were happening behind the scene but Terri somehow managed to keep them both on track. ❤
She had the World's support. That can make a BIG difference. Without any family..no friends.. it's harder to make it all work out so that every one heals well.
Terri needs a lot of credit. She raised two beautiful, incredibly passionate children. On Robert's birthday, one can only see how unbelievably intelligent, well-mannered, sensitive, and articulate he is. I was a high school teacher, and only once had a student like him. I can tell how emotional he really was at seeing that video of his dad, but his excellent manners and upbringing kept him cool and in control. What a treasure to that family, and Terri must be everyday beaming with pride on earth, and Steve beaming down from heaven. Ad multos annos, as they say in Latin, to Terri, Bindi and Robert! From tragedy has come such a happy ending. :)
I also love that she never remarried or had a relationship. Steve was her true love. She took that love and used it to raise their children the way he would of.
@@SeminarioMAE seeing how he wanted his children to be raised around animals and to take care of animals I would say yes she raised them how he wanted since thats what they do. He wanted his family to take care of the zoo and they didnt let him down on doing so.
Terri lost her best friend, her soulmate and the love of her life the day Steve died. But even so, she raised their children to be compassionate and beautiful individuals who wanted to continue their dad's legacy and do what he did. She made sure Steve's dream and purpose was realised, and if that's not love then I don't know what love is. Man, I remember being in 3rd grade hearing about his passing. I was absolutely devastated. Now in my mid twenties I'm still teary eyed.. a treasure of a man gone too soon.
I found out while I was in school. It was like a movie, everybody in the hallways was talking about it. One person was like it was a shark, another person was like no it was a sting ray! Another person was like no he drowned! There was no social media back then so nobody could fact check it so the rumours went wild.
I remember being in my 6th grade world history class when we found out. We were all so shocked. My family watched his show a lot and it was so hard to hear that he had passed
Robert is so well spoken, seems genuinely invested in wildlife conservation, and very humble. I’m going on 19 myself and couldn’t imagine being in the public eye like that; he seems shy but handles the attention gracefully. It can’t be easy having people constantly remind you of a lost loved one and compare you to them, though it’s true that his parents’ legacy could not be in better hands. Happy late birthday to him
@@insipidwallflower565 don't you think his death is proof enough? You think a ray will kill you in your daily life? I was really young when he passed, and I was devastated , I cried a lot, watched him on tv more than anything else ever. A genuine angel of a man the world needed
As a man who lost his own father at a young age, this was a very emotional video to watch, it's not an easy life growing up without a Dad, Robert's mother did a wonderful job.
I wasn’t that young when I lost my dad, I was 26. But I got to hear my dad say how proud he was of the man I’d become. That’s the type of fuel that drives the fire of life forever.
Not being asked to but maybe someone will get something out of it. My dad shed his mortal coil by his own choice when I was 8 I found him. Mom remarried. Step dad did a lot with me taught me a lot but was very very abusive physically and emotionally. All I ever wanted was a dad's love. I kept my heart open and I forgive my step dad. I got 2 maybe 3 years with him before he died where I was proud to call him my dad and myself his son. He was a good grandpa as well. I lost him in June of 2021 at 27 years old to a brain bleed on the tennis court and I miss him a lot more than I ever thought I would. I spent years wanting nothing to do with that man. I spent his last full day alive with him. We went to church and breakfast. I took the kids to the park and then up to his house to swim and play. Kids played dad and I sat on the deck and just talked about life stresses struggles hopes and dreams. He was my dad finally and i was his son. It was a beautiful thing for me to have that closure right before he died. Keep your heart open and choose to love people. Life is way to short and unexpected to not choose love.

Terri Irwin has done an outstanding job raising her children. They have grown into two fine adults that continue their father's legacy. Steve would be so proud. I saw a programme about Steve and Terri and how they met at the zoo. He was doing a show with a croc and immediately spotted her in the crowd and was smitten. After the show finished he went and spoke to her and her friend captured the moment with a photo of them. Amazing.

It's never too late to reach that goal of yours. Even though Steve isn't with us- he lives on through the work and legacy he's left behind and he lives on in his children; especially Robert with how alike they are. If you can, definitely still go to Australia and perhaps visit the sanctuary. Heck, depending on how old you are and if you have a family of your own, show them what made you love Irwin and what he did for wildlife when you were young. That's how people like Steve live on; those of us who loved him will tell stories of him and what he did and achieved. I remember feeling so upset when hearing he'd passed away, myself and my little brother used to religiously watch Steve Irwin shows. I remember my little brother constantly playing a Wiggles ft. Steve Irwin special, every. single. day. (I can still remember a few of the songs). "I HAVE ACHIEVED MY ULTIMATE GOAL" You did, and Robert is not only following your mission, he is creating his own mission 🧡
Amazing.
He sounds like his dad. It's amazing how they preserved his legacy.
Its not just Steves Legacy, Robert is building his own, and I just hope hes happy with where hes at.
I'm pretty sure it's cuz part of the act was overplaying the Aussie accent lol. Even then it's still really cool how the mannerisms and "forced" accent are so similar. Truly like father like son.
As a kid I didn’t watch cartoons, I was obsessed with animal planet, but not just animal planet but Steve Irwin, he was my childhood hero, I had 4 birthday party’s that were crocodile Hunter themed, I’d always say growing up that No matter what I’d go to Australia one day and meet him, When my mom told me the news of his passing I was so upset I didn’t go to school for days, he made such a good impact on all of our childhoods I’m sure, I wish nothing but the best for him and his family, got me tearing up just thinking about it
Did you get to Australia?
Him and Jeff Corwin
Go see Robert then
I think the whole world stopped for a moment to realize his passing. He was every kids inspiration.
The world has never really quite felt the same without him - but watching the Irwin children grow as I grew up as well, it's always been so nice and reassuring to see that Steve's legacy has continued and that his family are well and healthy.
Having lost my dad when I was 12, this hits really hard. Keep going Robert, make our dad’s proud!
Your father passed, but you never lost him mate. He is always with you.
My girl lost her dad when she was 12. It's so hard on her, even now at 21. You got another father up there and they're all proud of y'all. Keep pushing brother

He based his entire career on grabbing and hugging dangerous wild animals, and you were shocked when he was finally killed by one? I thought he was very lucky not to lose a child when parading them as toddlers within feet of crocodiles.
@@alostbard I always wonder about those of us who feel it their job to seek out and spew negativity at every opportunity, whether they understand the topic at hand, or not. I lost my mom at 4... she died at 12. Huntingtons, the obscure disease every medical TV show throws in at some point because of how horrible it is. I don't have the gene. I do have the scars. Lost my dad at 18 to hep c from a 80's blood transfusion. If the transplant didn't fail, if he had lived 10 more years there was a cure. Lost my grandmother, my second mom, at 29. She lost her first child when he was 17. She lost my dad as well. Probably the only thing worse than losing a parent. She lost both her babies and didn't recover from that despite me trying to coax her into getting counseling. My condolences to you. It's not a good club to be in. Once you've lost a parent at any age, you really feel for someone who loses their's. My father in law lost his dad a couple year back. He's in his 50s. His dad was in his 80s.
