    This perfect example how demo should look like!. Beautiful sounding. My faith in Epiphone is getting restored. Fantastic colour of the guitar. Thank you 👍

    My Epi Les Paul Traditional Pro IV (Guitar Center exclusive... BUY ONE, they're great!) comes stock with these pickups in it. I'm really impressed and this is coming from a guy who almost always replaces pickups. The Alnico Classic Pros are staying in this guitar for the forseeable future. They're really great pickups. Epiphone has SERIOUSLY upped their game in quality since the new management took over!

    They are meticulous recreations of Gibson's '57 Classic PAF 50's humbuckers with Sand cast Alnico V magnets basically late 60's T-top reproductions, highest quality Elektrisola magnet wire 42 awg polywire same as the original T-top. Available Nickel Silver unit basses and covers Vintage correct alloys of metal for the pole shoe, screws, and slugs.

      Late 60's T-Tops had Alnico II Magnets instead of V, the mid 70's T-Tops had Alnico V.

      @GuajoloteGonzales From what I can gathered online. Gibson randomly used magnets 2, 3, 4, 5 in PAFs till 1961 by 1965 alnico V was standard for all Gibson pickups. Alnico II were sometime substitute as well

    Man that first lick in the lead gain test on the neck has Billy Gibbons tone all the way. Awesome. I'm getting this same guitar in cherry red tomorrow !!

    Man, 5:17 = that is great tone and clarity for live Rock in 60's, 70's, 80's right there - balanced with treble bite. Very, very nice. They really did a great job on these pickups. Classic Rock 5:54 sounds like 1 million dollars! Great playing and great tone.

    I love these pickups. They came in my Epiphone ES-339 and are hands down the best humbuckers I've had. They do everything I need them to do - 60s Blues Rock, 70s Classic Rock, early Heavy Metal, Jazz, and lead soloing. I bet if you did a magnet trick on one pickup, they'd get that Peter Green out of phase sound in the middle. The neck pickup comes very close to getting his tone.

      Hi there...........Are they better than the .......ProBucker-2 Humbucker and ProBucker-3 Humbucker

      @@Nokiathrower flip either the neck or bridge pickups magnet over (after partially disassembling the pickup) to make the middle position sound out of phase.

    Got these pickups in a BB King Lucille. With the Varitone switch, it's a very versatile guitar.

    I picked up a glary very nice body very nice neck little bit of work on the frets. I'm installing a set of these and replacing everything else on the guitar basically and I think when I'm done I'll have a very nice instrument I have done some other projects in the past so I'm not a complete rookie but I'm definitely not a luthier. Looking forward to getting everything else completed so I can hear what it sounds like. I do have an epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro with probuckers and I hope these come at least close to those because it is sweet. I am basically a Stratocaster guy but I am getting used to the humbucker vibe. Wish me well and God bless

    Buenas, para mí las pastillas epiphone alnico classic pro, son un poco embarradas. Me gustan más las epiphone probucker, o las Tonerider alnico II, y bueno las Gibson 490t y 490r, son geniales.

      Thanks! Hmm can't remember if I changed these to my standard EB 10-46s or if these were just what came with the guitar originally.

    About to get my 2020 Epi LP Studio and this is just the vid I needed.. I was wondering if I'd be missing anything not spending the extra and going with the custom (Probucker 2 and 3).. after this I don't think I'd be missing anything at all.

      i think that Probuckers are a bit more "mellow"... bluesy jazzy sound. While this Alnico Classic Pro are more rock sound, better in yelling style ^^

  • @jimmyjames2022

    I've been curious how these stack up vs Probucker with Alnico 2, definitely hear that Alnico 5! Apparently the windings are different too.

      Yea not sure how the ProBuckers are, I haven't tried them yet I don't think. But, I gotta say, very impressed with the AC Pros... especially in that middle position.

    • @ErebosGR
      @ErebosGR ปีที่แล้ว

      The ProBuckers are virtually identical to the Burstbuckers, the Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates and the PRS 58/15.
      I prefer the ProBuckers over the Alnico Classic PROs in almost every guitar, except for maybe an especially dark-sounding semi-hollow.

    I have these in a 2022 Epi Lucille and they're awful.
    When I play a root 6 or root 5 power chord they distort very easily. In fact it sounds like the speaker is broken on a completely clean amp. The bass output is ridiculous. In comparison an Epiphone with Probucker 1 and 2s on the same amp with the same settings doesnt break up.
    I wacked the the Probuckers in the Lucille and it's way better.
    I wonder if the Alnico Classic pros in my Lucille were faulty? I doubt it.

    • @Soulmanbsr
      @Soulmanbsr 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I had the same problem, Have you tried to roll down volume knob on the guitar and set amp volume a bit higher? If you play with volume knob near 8-10 on the guitar, it goes distortion easily
