On my 4545s there are 2 RAM slots, one on top of the other. I am currently using 2 x 4gb = 8gb total running Linux Mint. After removing the battery I just popped off the cover. I did not need to remove the screw shown in the video. I slid the retainers toward the center and popped the lid with my fingernails.

for some reason the big cover did'nt pop off like in the video....
had to use my palm to slide it out

you don't actually have to remove the screw. just remove the battery, then move those sliders 3 times and the back cover will pop off.
