hi im to late sorry😅 but kinda you first have to install windows 7 and install THE RIGHT drivers if you want i can give you a link to them and then you can upgrade to 10 and in like and 1 and a half you are done
You can't boot system from caddy. But you can use it as a normal drive just not to boot windows from it. if it don't show up in windows it's probably bad

The maximum available capacity is 16GB. I'm pretty sure you're able to use 12GB also.
