Christolclear101 I think you're right. I took a pretty good look at the actual prop. It looks like an airsoft rifle was used as the base for it. If that is the case, an 'accurate' replica would be pretty cheap to build. Hypothetically, anyway.

When I made mine, I just painted it black, and dry brushed silver to make it a gun metal colour. Add some weathering, paint the second half completely silver (and give it an orange tip cause you know, it's gonna look real eventually) and voilà! Here's an Andor's pistol ready to go!

Looks great, but I was wondering, why you didn't fill the screw holes with filler putty? Yes, it would prevent taking it apart in the future, but I didn't think you ever planned on that.

Hey Chris, I honestly hope you get a chance to read this. Why is it, with the Custom Collectibles for figures, for the most part, you strip them down and get very detailed with the painting, where stuff like this, and the other star wars blaster, you just throw the primer on, and then detail it. Please don't get me wrong it came out great. But since you didn't cut up the front like the other, and it is not permanently attached to the base. Why not make a functional prop? Yes this will still work, but pulling the priming handle and you see a huge chunk of orange. Plus depending on the amount of clear coat the priming handle and or trigger could be stuck now. I'm just trying to understand the thought process, if it is a time thing? Is it a too many moving parts thing to strip down?
I also did something like this on mine a couple weeks ago. But I wouldn't have painted the darts. They have a glow in the dark effect and it really loks like a laser shot in the dark.

That gun is the middle 3rd of an AR-15 rifle. They didn't even really add or subtract from the section...just chopped the butt stock and barrel. Seems a bit weird. (Your paint upgrade is fantastic, by the way.)

Look, Please don't sacrifice the look just so other people could do the same thing, for example: the death trooper gun. you did the chrome fade tip and the burnt discoloration effect with a brush just so a handful of other peole can copy your work. You could've easily done it with your airbrush! I've seen you use your airbrush with enamel paint for your freddy bust.

Rouge One also used a Luger (Jyn's blaster), an M60 (the U-Wing Gunner) and the standard stuff like MG42s, and Sterling SMGs

I think the bullets should have been painted neon red with blended white orange and yellow. it is a laser blast after all. great build!

One thing I suggest is taking some kind of moldable adhesive putty or somthing else to file the screw holes
