@@williamneal7210 This is a synopsis of the AoT live action. I have seen the anime and read the manga. The LA doesn't do the book any justice or rewrites a lot that doesn't make sense.
For instance, why do Mikasa and Wannabe Levi have 3 Dimension gear or are trained for it.? In the movie, Hange invented the devices for the troops INSIDE the wall. The Mikasa/WB Levi were outside the wall so they wouldn't have been able to know about the invention at all..

ironically, this movie actually kinda predicted 2 things:
- the titans were being used as bioweapons by other people
- that shot of the armored titan shoving the bomb into the colossal titan's mouth is a bit reminiscent of eren shoving those barrels into the mouth of Rod Reiss' titan, eh?
plot was horrible, but i'd still like to see a live action AOT, especially since the movie actually kinda nailed the horror of titans.

@@nasus_elyob I know the movie was inspired by the series, but I figured the movie came out in December 1st 2015 while the manga chapters I'm referring to came out between August 7th - December 5th 2015 (chapter 67 - 70 Rod Reiss).
And the whole reveal with Marley from grisha's memories and the market arc came out in December 2016 to august 2017.
(Chapter 85 -94)
So the movie might've borrowed inspiration from the Rod Reiss battle, but otherwise it still kinda predicted the premise of the series.
Albeit, the movie strayed far from the source material so I dunno
I mean, its important to remember that Isayama still had some creative control over the story, and could have easily informed the writers about the 'bioweapon' storyline. as for the Rod Reiss thing, thats definitely a fair point. although I believe you did get the dates wrong, as they were issued from march 6th to June 8th 2015. the dates are still close to the movies release, but perhaps far enough away to make a difference? im not sure how long it would have taken tbh@@littlesneets8026

In the anime Mikasa is the only Japanese character. Presented as one of the last of her race. Not upset about the race swapping as it is a Japanese IP. I honestly think that the creators were hoping HW would pick it up with a big budget.
Levi is as well. They're both Ackerman's though I recall Mikasa is only half Ackerman.

Not to forget, her mother was targeted and killed, for fighting back, by traffickers BECAUSE she’s Japanese. They chose to try to take Mikasa too because she was half, but we know how that ended. Them all being Japanese creates a plothole with the deaths of her parents. So, if they weren’t targeted by traffickers for being rare then why would she be with Erin’s family? It’s so aggravating because all they had to do was make her race different than everyone else to fix that.
I can see why this live-action movie version isn't talked about. Not only is this a hole-filled shell of the actual plot, but there's a huge portion of the runtime where it doesn't even focus on the main characters, who are nothing like the original versions. Mikasa is the worst example as she risked her life to try to save a random child even though she's shown to be mostly unemotional in the manga and anime, and she quickly became the fucktoy of the first guy to save her even though her ONE-SIDED devotion to Erin in the manga and anime bordered on sociopathic. There's also the fact that the titans all have a masculine frame in the manga and anime, which is why the advent of the Female Titan was such a shock, and so many more inconsistencies I won't get into. I don't actually like the excessive gorefest that is "Attack on Titan", but even I'm offended by this dumpster fire.

If you are a Hard Core Fan of the Attack on Titan Anime, you should stay clear of this Live Action version of it cause it will ruin your expectations of a good AoT movie. This thing is bad ( This is my own opinion btw )

The titans are humans in a endless nightmare, hence why the titans are stupid. The island that the main characters are in is called Eldia (modern day Madagascar) there was this one slave girl named Ymir who freed a bunch of pigs from their pen. The king however did not like this and hunted Ymir down. Ymir finds a giant tree to take cover in and falls in the lake inside the tree, where a weird worm creature attaches to her spine and gives her the ability to turn into the founding titan (titan shifter) Ymir then marrys the king and they take over entire nations and murder billions of people with the power of the titans. Ymir gets hit by a spear in her chest trying to save the king from an assassination, Ymir was an almost god like being so she could've easily lived but she chose to die there. That is why the curse of Ymir exists so when any Eldian has one of the 9 titans (armored titan, attack titan, founding titan, colossal titan, jaw titan, beast titan, cart titan, and female titan) they only live 13 years and after the 13 years they have to pass on their power to another eldian. So long story short, that is how the titans came to be.
Now for why there are so many titans, one of the nations that Eldia conquered, helped overthrow the king and made him retreat to an island where the king took everyones memory of the outside world away using the power of the founding titan, a power than can be used to its fullest extent by royal blood. Marley then takes 7 of the 9 titans to use against any nation that tries to go to war against it. They then turn eldians into titans with the Titan Fluid Serumn to help confine the eldians within the island.
Marley then plans to go onto the island and take the founding titan aswell as the islands resources to help them in a long war against other nations. That is why they train Eldian kids aka Warrior Candidates to infiltrate the island and take the founding titan. The eldian kids were brainwashed along with other eldians that live in a location inside of marley called the *Eldian Internment Zone* to believe that the eldians inside the walls are bad and abandoned the other eldians that live in marley, so the eldians that live in marley must atone for their ancestors sins of killing billions of people by ridding the world of "the bad eldian devils"
This is why the wall was breached. To lure out the founding titan so they could take it. Little did they know that the main character Eren had a father who had one of the 9 titans, his titan was called the Attack Titan and he used the titan to take the founding titans power from the true royal family. When the wall was breached, he gave this power to eren but eren had no memory of how he got this power, so he couldn't use it.
LONG STORY SHORT, eren begins to master the ability to turn into the *Attack Titan* at will hence why he joins the Scout Regiment to achieve his goal of killing all the titans. But 3 of his comrades who he trained with when he joined the survey corp, are actually the titan shifters that breached the wall. Their names are Reiner, Annie, and Bertholdt. First annie tries to capture eren but she fails and uses her hardening ability to form herself a crystal so she can stay in. Then Reiner and Bertholdt aka the Armored and Colossal Titan, try to capture eren during a battle but the scout regiment rescues him.
*THEN* The plan to take the founding titan has been going on for a long time so Marley sends War Chief Zeke, AKA the beast titan, and he is also Erens *Half-Brother* so Reiner, Bertholdt, AND War chief zeke as-well as another titan shifter whos name is Pieck, try to capture eren but with the help of erens friends they fail but almost everyone in the survey corp is dead because of the mission to retake Wall Maria (Eren's home town). Erens best friend Armin is on the brink of death but the commander of the scouting regiment, commander erwin is also on the brink of death aswell.
Captain Levi has a Titan Serumn bottle and Syringe but he can only use it on one person so they can turn into a mindless titan and eat a titan shifter, turning back into a human aswell as gaining the titan shifters power.
So Captain Levi has to choose between saving Eren and Mikasas best friend or saving Commander Erwin. Long story short, he saves Armin, and Armin eats Bertholdt (they captured him) and gains the power of the colossal titan.
FAST FORWARD, Eren becomes way more distant and more emotionless, so him and his half brother Zeke plan on using the founding titans power. At this point everyone in Eldia knows that there are humans beyond the wall who hate them.
So Eren raids Marley with the help of the Scouting Regiment to kill Willy Tybur, The leader of marley. During his decleration of war speech. Eren then takes the Warhammer Titans Power. A very powerful titan that has the ability to make weapons and objects out of thin air.
After the raid, eren gets imprissioned in Eldia by the scouting regiment because he manipulated them and went against their intentions. A new group is made though, they call themselves *The Yeagerists* they serve Eren and believe that HE should lead Eldia and stop the nations who want Eldians Dead.
Eren escapes prison with the help of the Yeagerists and forcefully brings his best friends, Armin and Mikasa as well as his other friends from the scout regiment to Wall Maria, Erens Home Town and the place where the breach first started.
Marley, however begins its operation to raid Eldia and Eren has to Battle Reiner along with The Jaw Titan, Cart Titan, And marleys fleet of blimps armed with weapons.
Eren puts up a badass fight but he almost loses if it weren't for his half brother, Zeke helping him. Eren and Zekes plan is to touch each other, which would activate the founding titans full power because Zeke is royal blood and eren has the founding titan power.
Zekes plan was to make Eldians not have the ability to reproduce so they can die out, but eren however convinces the founder Ymir (in the paths) to start the *Rumbling*
The *Rumbling* is an ability, which the THOUSANDS of GIANT COLOSSAL TITANS inside the walls begin to walk and crush anything thats outside the island of Paradise (AKA Eldia)
LONG LONG STORY SHORT, Erens friends stop him and Everyone thinks the Eldians are heroes that stopped the Devil of All Earth (Eren Yeager)

Eren puts up a badass fight but he almost loses if it weren't for his half brother, Zeke helping him. Eren and Zekes plan is to touch each other, which would activate the founding titans full power because Zeke is royal blood and eren has the founding titan power.
Zekes plan was to make Eldians not have the ability to reproduce so they can die out, but eren however convinces the founder Ymir (in the paths) to start the *Rumbling*
The *Rumbling* is an ability, which the THOUSANDS of GIANT COLOSSAL TITANS inside the walls begin to walk and crush anything thats outside the island of Paradise (AKA Eldia)

In my own opinion, the live action stomps when it comes to horror of titans. I personally like the transformation of the armored titan
i both like (for it's creepiness) how they look weird and unnatural and dislike it (because it so unlikely... i mean WHY? what are they?... where did they come from.. is there _any_ explanation?....)

All the titans are humans and their last King put them all on this island as a form of exile so they can never harm anyone else, the people that live on this island all have the ability to take over other ppls titans by eating them (they just dont know). The people lived rather peacfully untill another country that thinks the nation that lives on the island are lesser people sends a military group to attack their walls that protected them from the titans.

Live action anime films always have over-the-top acting lol it’s so comedic.
If a live-action adaption of Attack on Titan is ever tried again, they need to use CGI titans. Made-up actors just can't capture the uncanny nature of the titans in the anime, not to mention the odd physical proportions (looking at you, gluttonous titan) and the odd way of moving that some have.

The titans are humans in a endless nightmare, hence why the titans are stupid. The island that the main characters are in is called Eldia (modern day Madagascar) there was this one slave girl named Ymir who freed a bunch of pigs from their pen. The king however did not like this and hunted Ymir down. Ymir finds a giant tree to take cover in and falls in the lake inside the tree, where a weird worm creature attaches to her spine and gives her the ability to turn into the founding titan (titan shifter) Ymir then marrys the king and they take over entire nations and murder billions of people with the power of the titans. Ymir gets hit by a spear in her chest trying to save the king from an assassination, Ymir was an almost god like being so she could've easily lived but she chose to die there. That is why the curse of Ymir exists so when any Eldian has one of the 9 titans (armored titan, attack titan, founding titan, colossal titan, jaw titan, beast titan, cart titan, and female titan) they only live 13 years and after the 13 years they have to pass on their power to another eldian. So long story short, that is how the titans came to be.
Now for why there are so many titans, one of the nations that Eldia conquered, helped overthrow the king and made him retreat to an island where the king took everyones memory of the outside world away using the power of the founding titan, a power than can be used to its fullest extent by royal blood. Marley then takes 7 of the 9 titans to use against any nation that tries to go to war against it. They then turn eldians into titans with the Titan Fluid Serumn to help confine the eldians within the island.
Marley then plans to go onto the island and take the founding titan aswell as the islands resources to help them in a long war against other nations. That is why they train Eldian kids aka Warrior Candidates to infiltrate the island and take the founding titan.
This is why the wall was breached. To lure out the founding titan so they could take it. Little did they know that the main character Eren had a father who had one of the 9 titans, his titan was called the Attack Titan and he used the titan to take the founding titans power from the true royal family. When the wall was breached, he gave this power to eren but eren had no memory of how he got this power.
Long story short that is a short summary of Attack on Titan, there is way more information but i cant say it all
