In this episode of Rig Rundown, Jake takes us through the The Sherwood 250mm (10in) heavy-duty table saw.
The carriage in these units are a massive network of ductile iron casting. All designed to cope with the extra power from the huge 3HP/2400W/15amp motor and deaden vibration and the directional forces when sawing even the thickest and hardest of timbers. There is a relative ease of running at 90° through to the full 45° range of right-hand tilt. The cabinet itself produces amazing stability and quiet operation.
There’s a truly superior finish to these table saws with precision-machined table tops and heavy-duty fence rails and arms. This Taiwanese built, high-performance machine is virtually unsurpassed when working with solid timbers.
Available Heavy Duty Cabinet Table Saw accessories
    10in Overhead Dust Guard (SWMS-250-SUVA)
    Table Saw Panel Attachment (SWMSA-48)
10in Dado Saw Blade Kit (SWMS-250DK)
Please note: this saw is not supplied with a blade. This unit comes with a 15Amp AU plug on it.

I’ve just set this saw up in my workshop and I can say that it sure is a nice quiet machine to use. And so powerful! But the manual….OMG what a horrific manual. It’s a good thing you don’t really need it to set the saw up, as it is mostly assembled out of the box when purchased from Timbecon.
You would think, however, that the Aussie importer/distributor would have the chinglish manual updated and accompanied by comprehensive photographs, that actually make sense and save having to trawl through paragraph after paragraph of bad English… just to end up realising that it was of no help anyway.
Other than that, the saw is great! Especially with an Incra LS positioner fence attached 😊

      Hi Ben,
We are actually in the process of updating the manuals at the moment. As sherwood have an extensive line of machines it is quite a task and does take some time. Seems like you were able to get the saw going, but if you ever need any assistance our customer service team are always willing to provide it at any stage.

      @@timbeconaus Thank you, Timbecon guys!
I did work it all out, as I did note that the machines (I have several Sherwood machines now) all come about 99% pre-assembled and Ready-to-Run. So that's nice. I haven't had to call for help yet, which I think is also testament to how good your products are.
Looking forward to being able to download some updated Sherwood manuals, soon!

There's probably nobody monitoring these comments any more but: ... I don't understand WHY the 10" table saws have RIGHT-tilting blades, when it could potentially jam work pieces between the rotating saw blade and the fence?
The 12" saws have LEFT tilting blades, which is considered by many to be safer. Was it really that big a deal to make the 10" tilt to the left as well?

Hi Ben, Left and Right tilts both have their pros and cons. See the below article for some more info if you are interested
