Would you consider mounting the fans in the recessed top section, pulling air up through the radiator mounted inside the case? Or is mounting the fans below the radiator the best option?

Great video sir. It helps a lot. Can I ask you if you can suggest a 90 degree USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C1 adapter to use between the motherboard and the cable? What type or brand could I use with the Corsair 5000d airflow case? I'm talking about the one that on the front panel is the smallest after the USB sockets. Thanks a lot for the suggestion.

Okay I have a question. I have almost this exact same build except with the H100i AIO and I also have 3 fans on the side panel. I am having trouble figuring out if I should keep the fans on the side as intake fans or exhaust. I am worried about the massive amount of negative pressure it might have from having 6 exhaust fan (3 side, 2 top, 1 rear) and 3 intake fans (front). Can someone please advise?
NEED a video on how to install and wire all 13 fans (3x front, 3x side, 6x push/pull, and 1x rear) for this case! You're a godsend.
Loving the 5000D, truly a great looking case. My cable management is not as good as yours, as this was my first build in this case and have an extra 3 fans on the side. I went AMD and am getting 35oc idle but under full load temps only reach around 70oc max, using exactly the same AIO on my 5900x
I love this case! Have heard nothing but good things about it since its release.
I am rocking a 5950X and a 6900XT with this bad boy and have no issues with thermals at all.
Never thought about the push/pull configuration option with the top tray, so thanks for sharing Rob! Might try that out. 👍

I want this 5000D, i bought 4000D and i have big problem now - i can't install my new (FKNG EXPENSIVE - HATE MINERS) "Sapphire RX6900 Toxic Extreme Edition" (360mm water cooler). 4000D have only support at top for 240 and 280mm, in front i already have 360mm cooler for my i9 10910 (yes, 10 at the end - Apple Exclusive CPU)... Now, thanks to new card - I NEED TO CHANGE CASE, i haven't money for it because i'm not clever to buy this monster for SOOO BIG PRICE :(... Soo - i'm really in big ass... :(

@@Lennox032 I wrote this, read again 🤣! Already changed my 4000D for LianLi O11 Dynamic, because i need 2x 360mm support! And NEVER put your GPU radiator in front because GPU makes LOT OF HEAT, but CPU radiator makes less...so for best cooling put CPU radiator on front and GPU radiator on top!

Im having trouble with the “Fan Repeater”…. Is it controlled through the motherboard in BIOS? I can’t seem to control speed… my rear exhaust and middle front intake can aren’t as strong as my other fans…
Jo i have a question. I have the arctic freezer 34 duo as a cpu cooler. Now I bought a 6 pack of ezdiy fans. Is it somehow possible that i use 2 of these fans for the cpu cooler? I mean it got no connection for the cpu fan 1 adapter so i am not really sure if that still works properly if u know what I mean because then the fans are not spinning faster when the cpu gets hotter. Pls help me.

3 years later I still have the 7000d airflow. Best case I ever have bought to this date. 7000d was over kill for my build cause I don't use liquid coloing

PCPARTPICKER gives an error when combining this Motherboard and Case: " Note:Corsair 5000D AIRFLOW ATX Mid Tower Case has a front panel USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A port, but the Asus ROG STRIX Z590-A GAMING WIFI ATX LGA1200 Motherboard does not have sufficient USB 3.2 Gen 1 headers. The case USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A port will not be usable."

The Airflow is better in the 5000d, you have that front panel that's open and it makes a big difference.
Yooooo this case will be so futureproof... Im upgrading my rig over, and my recently purchased h115i capellix wont fit into my current case... So futureproofing time. Im getting this tomorrow, so hyped.
Having my pc rebuilt currently in this case with 6 fans at front intake and h150i 360 aio top mounted with push/pull config for exhaust. Will my pc have slightly positive airflow with this setup???
Yes with essentially six intake you are good the six at the top aren't pulling the same amount of air so you should be a slightly positive. (You can test this by grabbing an incense stick and putting it near a crevasse where there is no fan. If it pulls in air (negative) if it blows the air away (positive). The stronger the reaction the more powerful it is.
Do you feel like the airflow would have been better utilizing the three side fans as intake, the front three as intake, top three as exhaust and a rear exhaust fan? I’m currently buying a Corsair 5000D and have a lot of fans ordered but I have no idea what config is best for performance

I got the Corsair 5000X... I've heard great things about the 5000D Airflow. But not much about the 5000X. So I'd like to know where the 5000X compares and if I should order the airflow front and top panels to put on my 5000X or if the airflow on the 5000X is good enough to keep my system cool enough. Btw my specs are 3080 10850k 360mm aio 850W psu on a z590 tomahawk wifi mobo for power and heat I'll be dealing with. I should be getting it next week so I'm not able to test it myself yet
I bought a 5000d and then just bought the airflow panels separately. It came to 30 dollars us shipped.

How is it setup now? You could do that for sure, or another option is to get higher airflow fans at the front.
@@RobeytechLive I have the 275R Airflow but would like to get the 5000D Airflow. I currently have the h150i capellix in the front and 3 of the preinstalled fans in back and top as outtake. I would put the 5000D case fans behind the cover and capellix on top as outtake + 3 ML 120 RGB (non pro).

I'm building the black one right now! I got about 45% progress got most of my parts but gpu is absent lol...I need another way to plug the front panel usb c, my motherboard (rog strix b550-f) is lacking that connection 😫. The case is awesome though well worth it
Yeah that's the issue with the B550's is they don't have USB C

Can you install fans on the side while still having the curved plate there? Would be nice to cool the board.
I actually tried that out. They will fit but you’d be better off taking it off for thermals. Your ram will block the air from reaching the vrms on the board and cables are a nightmare to seat with it on unless you have a mini board
do you think adding the 3 side fans is worth it. Im building something similar, but with a 5900x and 3080. But im torn on whether or not i actually need to add side fans. I think the way you have here is more aesthetically pleasing

Suggestions for best case if you wanted to use an E-ATX?
I like the Lian Li o11 Dynamic XL, lots of room for it. Or the Phanteks Ethoo Pro 2. I mean this will do EATX but it covers the grommets and makes it hard to connect cables.
@@RobeytechLive Appreciate the reply. Lian Li it is... had one of their PC-343B server cases I did a bit of modding on some 15 yrs ago when I did my first ever build and loved it. Keep up the great content. Might even look into getting you to do a build sometime. By the way... what state are you out of? Wondering about shipping etc if I did have you do a build.

Not sure I believe your results on the benchmarks...what are your other settings? I have the same board, same case, same proc and same GPU (3080ti) and get 106FPS in tomb raider benchmark
A lot has changed in drivers etc since we have done this benchmark

I have a Asus rog crosshair VIII dark hero motherboard and looking to buy a corsair 5000D but it states that " ATX Mid Tower Case has a front panel USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A port, but the Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero ATX AM4 Motherboard does not have sufficient USB 3.2 Gen 1 headers. The case USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A port will not be usable."

I find it fascinating that even though it is an Airflow case I have NEVER seen anyone use a Non-Liquid based heat sink in it.
Right now I'm grinding together some money for a 12900k and rtx 3080 build

Built my daughters computer in this case. Ended up having to get a smaller PSU to have hard drive cage in it. Other than that, great case
why didnt you just move the hard drive case to the front it has clips and screws so u can move it
This is the case I'm gunning for for an RTX 4090 and intel i9 13900KS or Ryzen 9 7950x3D still sitting on the fence with the CPU
I'm going asus tuf oc 4090 and i9 13900ks with lian li infinity 360mm cpu cooler, 6 120mm inf on intake and a single 120mm exhaust...this is my 3rd build in this case.ticks all the boxes and temps stay tuned and cool under loads...brilliant case.i was also pondering the 7950x3d but decided to see intel offerings..I am impressed with the data on the ks..previously built 2 systems around a 5950x 3080ti evga and was loving the 4k gameplay..time to see 8k playable overwatch 2 at 120 frames as my freind does...my jaw dropped seeing a 4090 and a ks drive playable 8k.

I'm still rocking the mighty Thor V2. Everything I look at seems like a downgrade...until this beast from Corsair. Maybe this is the one. I was leaning towards the Be Quiet Pure Base 500dx, with its nice usability and classy RGB. I think I'll appreciate the space of the 5000d over the Be Quiet, though, especially after being used to the full atx Thor.

Got the 5000d brand new through Woot! for $100. It's awesome. Corsair is supposed to contact me soon about sending me the airflow panels.
Phanteks cases are the best in my opinion they use thicker gage metal and are built like tanks... have the Evolv X with two 360mm rads fitted and the pro M with an corsair aio cooler.... nothing came close to the pro M for £90 pounds when it first came out it was a bargin 🙂 Unfortunately the pro M is no longer made.....

I like the case, but I dont understand why they didn't use 140mm fans. I understand they fit, but it's like they are an afterthought.
That would add a bit more girth tbh, you can do a 280 at the top and the front so there is 140's but not three.

is it just me, or is that cpu temp is way too high?
Nah, the 11th gen chips run hotter than previous gen. The normal temp before “overheating” according to intel is less than 100C. Clearly you would want to try to stay far away from that as possible. But those temps on the video are fine.
Only thing that case needs is more RGB! haha

This case has an amazing amount of features but its stupidly annoying to take apart. The most frustration building in this case. Also, not alot of room in the back for cable management. The 15 included straps are nice but theres not alot of room for the cables

How did you get the radiator to fit in the roof? I just built in the 5000x and could not get it in there because of the two cpu power cables in the upper left corner of the motherboard. Grrr.
