I can't help but feel that OnePlus is intentionally designing the software to make the earbuds last for only a year, forcing customers to upgrade to the latest version, like the recently released Buds Pro 2. I purchased the OnePlus Buds Z a few months after they were released. I was hesitant because there were no test units available in Sri Lanka, but I was pleasantly surprised by the audio quality. After almost a year of use, I decided to upgrade to the OnePlus Buds Pro, which had impressive active noise cancellation and transparency mode, although I didn't notice a significant improvement in sound quality. I gave my Buds Z to a friend, but after a year, they complained that the battery life on one side was very low and lasted for less than an hour. I suggested basic fixes, but the problem only got worse until the earbud became unusable. On the other hand, I had no issues with my OnePlus Buds Pro until eight months after use when one side stopped charging. After almost a year of use, the battery life on the left earbud became so bad that it couldn't even last for three songs. Despite trying various reset methods, there was no improvement. Unfortunately, these earbuds are not replaceable or repairable. I can't help but feel that OnePlus is intentionally designing the software to make the earbuds last for only a year, forcing customers to upgrade to the latest version, like the recently released Buds Pro 2. Then wouldn’t you have to compromise with spatial audio? If you own an iphone or ipad then it’s not going to be very compatible and same goes with airpods with android.

I own both of these and I use oneplus buds for music listening as they sound really great but does not offer good connectivity with Iphone and Macbooks as they tents to loose connection often while I use airpods for calling mostly. My old phone was oneplus and then moved to iphone but overall considering price I think oneplus buds are best choice overall if you are ok with occasional connections issues.

Spatial audio and hires feature of oneplus buds pro 2 is not compatible with other phones. I had tried with my Samsung s22 ultra. Spatial audio is not showing in hey melody app.

Secondly, I get it, everyone has their own lifestyle and circumstances, but honestly, the importance of noise cancellation is overrated. We’re not flying next to a jet engine every day, right? Chasing after that is just wild. Same with spatial audio-you'll play with it for 15 minutes and forget about it. So, the verdict here: either you don’t care about the money and are a die-hard Apple fan (and that’s okay, their products are sweet), or you’re spending 2.5 times less ($100) on the buds rationally.

A very nice review, but since you comparing 2 different products it should also be the price factor in the video. One plus buds pro 2 can be found between 130 and 170€ when the Airpods pro 2 are somewhere around 260€. Thats 2 times the price, so basically the Buds are easy winning in the comparison in my opinion..

Galaxy buds pro2 have excellent wearablity, very comfortable. Really good ANC. Really good music sounds, good bass. Bad call quality for the other party in noisy conditions. I use them everyday for music and currently using airpods pro1 for calls but the speaker is going out so now looking for good call earbuds. So depending on what you use them for. If for calls, look for something else, if you want good music quality and won't fall out on a workout, Galaxy buds pro2 have my vote. Hope that helps.

The crackling just appeared, believe me I just put it down and put the headphones back on the next day. Nothing happened to them, they didn't fall, they weren't mistreated, etc. More than a week ago, I reported a bug on the technical support chat where Request was accepted. To this day, despite 3 interventions in the chat, I have not received any send label, and Request is still on the first step. This is how OnePlus works. I do not recommend headphones, think before you buy, because first of all they are emergency, but what's worse, then you can't even send them back for repair, because no one at OnePlus is interested in it anymore. This is my opinion and the very unpleasant experience that happened to me, I will post on the forums to warn potential OnePlus customers.

The Galaxy buds 2 pro are really compact and stay in the ear all. Otherwise something like the beats fit pro with an earwing design.
